Most clueless pundits ever tho. How can they sit there and say Arsenal aren’t loosing the league to city they are loosing to the likes of villa which is costing them the league. How are they not realising that that’s what makes winning a league so hard is beating all the teams week in week out. It’s the most competitive league for a reason. Before City came along teams could afford a lot more slip ups than before. How many times did fergie win the league with less than 90 points ?

Arsenal have one game in hand (same as Liverpool). Aston Villa are fighting for top 4 (not Top 3). Exactly like Newcastle last season. Had Arsenal lost to Chelsea, the comments would have been way more harsh.

I understand what ur on about but Aston villa is the same team who lost to United twice this season, they aren’t a very good team compared to arsenal, but they had a game plan, the same gameplan that every other team that beat us, used, west ham, Fulham, to a certain extent even Bayern, but in those games we rushed things and our blindness to see the weakness is what cost us, fair enough tho Aston villa were the better team.

Don’t think these two are really taking into account just how far ahead the gap is between Man City and the others. They ain’t considering how hard it is for the others to compete with them - years of financial doping: being backed by a state and being led by the best manager in football has made it almost impossible to even win a league

He has only won 1 prem with Liverpool as pep and city have outclassed and outperformed Liverpool’s klopp year on year (bar 1). That’s the fact. Klopp is one of the best we have seen, will go down in history as a legend due to what he has aachieved at Liverpool but the facts remain, pep and city have been too good for Liverpool and Klopp, as they have for arteta and arsenal and the other 17 teams. 4 titles in a row is something very special, treble, Maybe a double treble. There’s no comparison. But we have to thank Klopp for keeping interesting as we do Arsenal for the past 2 seasons cos no one else is going for all

I think it’s 50/50 chance tbf. We controlled the game at home with 2 mistakes while high pressing and they only had 2 shots on target. Tonight if we sit back and defend well we can get a counter goal or 2. But Munich could just as easily beat us.

I believe Arsenal will go through, Arsenal have a full depth squad while Bayern have quality players like Davies, Coman and Gnabry gone. If there’s a time to beat Bayern whether it be on penalties or outright, it’s now. Arsenal arguably lost to Villa because they changed their conventional squad up to prepare for this game, they are bottlejobs otherwise. If Arsenal should ever get knocked out, it should be in a blazing glory against either Real Madrid or Man City, not a Bayern side that are now knocked out of every competition bar the Champions League. Bayern are in it because of Arsenal’s mistakes anyways, whether Arsenal will make mistakes again, we will never know

Honestly, I'm nervous, we are currently having a wobble, we weren't all that convincing at home in the first leg, tough seeing us make so many defensive errors on the big stage. Hopefully the players can get their heads together, the team has the quality to progress, but also has some naivety in occasions like this.

Trying to beat CITY to the title is like fighting Khabib in the cage, the elite strikers & kickers who finish all others with aplomb & utter confidence, are so distracted by the fear of attempting something which lets Khabib in, then being wrapped up like a Xmas present, they don't perform to their very best, e.g. Gaethje. Even though we were not playing CITY last Sunday, the almost certain knowledge in the back of the player's mind, that at this stage of the season, one slip up and CITY get the PL, creates the same head pressure, it's almost as if CITY were on that pitch too, hovering over the Arsenal team. Same too with LIV v Palace, credit too Palace, they defended like demons, but the pressure was clearly in the Red zone in those LIV player's heads who just couldn't score. Yeah teams have bad day at the office, Arsenal had nearly 40 shots v West Ham @ home and still lost 0-2, but how many David Brent days do CITY have on the home stretch, during the final sprint to the finishing line? Now cross-refence that figure to their titles.

The argument is not about beating City to the title, it’s about giving the best performance possible, last season we got 84 points which doesn’t really put you in a favourable position for winning a title even if City weren’t in the Premier League, at least 87 then yes. We are tripping on our own shoelaces and yet it is apparently City’s fault that we aren’t winning a title. Only Liverpool fans should be using that excuse because Liverpool at least lost the title with 92 and 97 points because they at least tried their best. We just lost to Villa at home and that ain’t even the toughest game of the season, Man United away, Tottenham away, even Chelsea at home, we probably may be getting 80 points max by the end of the season, which again does not win you the title even under normal circumstances

But it became so because of the pressure attached to it, because CITY won, 2 mths ago we'd won that, this team has NOT learned to deal with pressure, yet! We folded under pressure when the title pressure was cranked right up, when the title had gone we went back right to beating/thrashing teams, we have looked shaky and dull in the last 3 CL games, because of the pressure of being in the CL for the 1st time in a while and the first time for the manager & msot of those players. How can you not see the common denominator of when we underperform/freeze/bottling/wilting is at the pressure cooker end of the season! Arteta has to work on their minds to handle it or they won't win anything big. I know CL football is different to the PL, but how so different that it turned our defence & GK into Laurel & Hardy v Bayern? But when you consider the pressure it all makes sense.

@@lukelocks9083 Tbf we only lost to Villa, not because of the pressure, we had that last season so if anything, we are experienced, but rather a different formation with different players like Zinchenko playing and Jorginho not because we have the Champions League in 3 days time from then, although I wouldn’t have done that formation. Arteta simply bottled it, had a full depth squad to choose from for the Villa game and chose the wrong solution, Zinchenko was always a bad player yet somehow got on the first team, shouldn’t even be in reserves, Kiwior does better. Then dropping Havertz to midfield when he’s been arguably the best centre forward for Arsenal with 9 goals in the Prem and dropping Jorginho out is a bad move. And Trossard should have been in the subs since he is more effective that way. Let’s hope he doesn’t make the same mistake again in the Champions League

@@georgegreen4995 The formation was off and whilst it would affect our performance, it was the lethargic, no heart in that 2nd half, which screams wilting under pressure of going back top. Just like this time last season. Gabriel kicking the ball into ZInn's back is nothing to do with formation as he could clearly see him, it's nerves. See our CL games for the last 3 games, nervy, under par showings. Now CL is different to the PL but that doesn't explain the comical defending we did v Bayern. I get these players are mostly new to the CL, but what concerns me is the PL nerves shown in the Villa game, are reminiscent of the title collaspe last year, we'll see in the Wolves game it it's de javu, or have are the palyers to say F-it, we're not ging to wilt again this year. Areta has to get into their heads and rewire it from being caving under pressure. Correct if I'm mind, but didn't our pre-Dubai slump happen right after we went top? What's the common denominator in last year's title bottling (I call it for what it was, no time or palce for touchy-feely), mid-season floundering and the CL last 3 serious games and VIlla? Recall how we performed well in the CL grp games, but when the real deal comes knocking . . . . so far we get knocked out of the trophies.

He’s right about Klopp, we all wax lyrical about him, and for good reason, but it’s not like he’s made Liverpool serial winners. It’s very hard for any other manager/team to win alongside this City/Pep team, you have to measure the success to something other than just winning!

Arteta is a good coach but he is not able to go over the hurdle. Pressure gets to him.. We can loose so many games like utd and spurs away but losing to vila at home is unwarranted.
