Arrma Vorteks: Center Brace install Finally!!
Hi Gang,
Welcome back as I do an install of an Arrma Center Brace onto the Arrma Vorteks. The parts you will need are listed on the Arrma-RC.com website under the Options List as well as on this video.
I also use the center brace as a mounting point to attach a 40x40 Nidec Server fan pointed at my 6s Spektrum motor that I am using from my V2 Mojave.

Good video. 200mm is the correct length for a Vorteks, Granite, and 4s Outcast, which all have the same chassis. It is standard equipment on a 4s Outcast and is available on the Arrma website under 4s Outcast parts. The Vendetta, 3s Senton, and 4s Kraton would use the 240mm length. 240mm is also the right length for a Typhon, but Typhon owners would need a different body. The Typhon body sits too low to fit over a center brace. Arrma sells the 240mm brace under 4s Kraton parts. The Vorteks and Vendetta come with mounts integrated into the shock tower. Other models will use the 2 mount pieces you didn’t need. It may not make much difference, but you installed it backwards. The rubber spacer goes in front. Finally, there is an etched line on the center brace connector that lets you know how far down to screw the plastic end to get the correct length.
I noticed the slots for a tower brace on my vorteks. Never knew til now that you can install one on there. Thanks man!! You should definitely have more subs. Great info!!
Man now in to the RC world and your video help me so much on what to upgrade

Very helpful video, thank you.
I think Horizon has updated the site to show what you need for a center brace. Thanks for sharing! I am getting ready to do the install. Your video was very detailed and helpful
Thanks for the video.
Horizon hobby currently has 200mm center braces for arrma at the moment not backorder or pre-order in case you need one, I recently snapped the chassis to my vorteks its definitely a must with this beast
Thanks!
Worked perfect thx

What does the center brace help with I just got my Vorteks yesterday and excited to run.,
Just like laying pipe assemble what you have measure between bracket faces then add depth of each socket. Then add em up, get it right on 2nd or 5th time, bam Bob's your gramma
Tbone racing just released an aluminum center brace for $14.99

Is it really needed if you are using the M2C 3450 ARRMA 3S SWB CHASSIS BRACE VORTEK / GRANITE?

Probably not unless you heavy bash and use a heavier motor. I bought it for bling really…lol..
What are the part numbers? It's so hard to get them all down. Thanks.
M2C is the one I got

From what I've.learnes,.it prevents the chassis from flexing to the point it adds strength and rigidity. That's important if you do a lot of high jumps and thrashing to prevent cracking the chassis.into.parts.
Nice job showing what parts are needed to install the center brace. You really didn't adjust anything, the tube and connectors were bottoming out on each other so screwing the center brace connector further into the end mount didn't do anything other than giving more rigidity to the entire project... Once you get the tube, brace connector, and the brace mounts together... put one end into the vehicle and install pin, using a small screwdriver pry between the bulkhead and connector on the opposite end you just installed to help compress the rubber spacer to aid in lining up the other end... install pin.
What’s the parts code? Thanks
Can you please send me the Arrma numbers again here? Can't read it in the video!

Should be in the description
Seems like you turned what could have been a 5 min video into a 25 min video. Back then you could have easily picked up some some 1/4" x 1/4" aluminum / steel bar stock from Home Depot. Still a good video tho.
It was painful watching you build it. You did it all wrong. You build the ends up off the road as you use Allen keys to screw the rods in
