Army Clothing Repair - 92S - Shower and Laundry Specialist

The work of the U.S. Army Soldier can be difficult, tiring, and dirty. After the success of a mission or a day of training, Soldiers in the field look forward to a good meal, a hot shower, and a clean uniform. The men and women the U.S Army trusts to provide these necessities are the Soldiers of MOS 92S Shower and Laundry Specialist.

I was an 11M then an 11B, too. I had no clue this was a MOS as well. I thought these jobs were a side part of the water purification MOS. Well as they say on Kelly Hill, Ft. Benning: “If this or that doesn’t make sense then it makes perfect sense to do it that specific way in the Army.”

You've got to really be kidding. You and the more than 200 people who thumbed up your comment. The ultimate pog mos would be one outside of forscom (you would not go to the field as often/stay as long. The whole point of 92s is to provide laundry and shower to people in the field, so that shouldn't of tell you right there that 92s couldnt be a "pog mos"), does not suck (this has got to be one of the ten if not five worst mos), you actually get to do your mos a fair amount (even in the field I've known at least two people whom I know for sure we're 92s and they never did their job. But lots of soldiers very rarely do their mos) and has a decent translation to the real world when you get out. You've really got to be some dumbass grunt to call this the "ultimate pog mos"

I don’t think that if there is a war you would want a contractor to do this job in a warzone. Imagen you having a bunch of contractors setting showers up in Normandy after the invasion. It’s always good to at least keep one unit around that can do this, because it is easy to teach than to learn everything from scratch. In Germany for example we have a unit of combat horses even though we will probably never need them, but if we do we have them. kzread.info/dash/bejne/l4mFq9yYd9mXj7A.html

This MOS is really clutch in war where there isn't any FOB that's set up. With COVID-19 this is good for combat hospitals to keep the force healthy. Also, great for humanitarian disasters such as hurricane Katrina. This MOS is a really good stepping stone for people either seeking college or just not sure about long-term Army contracts. Plus, you will have a lot of time with family and go to places some MOS can't go. All depends on what you make out of it. 💯💯💯

Housekeeping? You'd be surprised how many people don't wanna clean their own homes. I was once a Caregiver in the civilian world and I've never seen so many maid cars parked in neighborhoods...typically the more rich areas and where high end hotels are. Speaking from what I've seen. This has a probability of transferring to a job at least in the civilian world.
