ARMS & ABS (Build & Burn)
This workout challenges both the arms and ab muscles in one quick and effective routine. All you need is a set of light-weight dumbbells, or even just a pair of water bottles. We’re going to end the workout with a core focused cardio blast. It's not going to be easy, but I know you can do it!
Duration: 25 minutes
Sequence: x3 Circuits (45 secs Work - 15 secs Rest)
Estimated Calories Burned: 200 Cals
Equipment: 1-2kgs dumbbells or small water bottles
ROUND 1 (bodyweight)
1) Push-Up Fold

ROUND 2 (with light weights)

    Absolute beginner here 👋 did day 1 yesterday of the challenge- I managed to finish. This looks even more advanced and I’m hurting from yesterday so looking at the exercises I don’t think I’ll be able to hold the positions long 😂 BUT I am gonna try it later today! I watched a low impact walk video- I think this is a good start for real beginners and get a good level of strength and stamina first then go onto this. It’s also a good sweaty workout! I think this is a little too challenging for people who are unfit. All fantastic workouts and I’m great full for all the videos!! Just look through the great selection of videos and choose what is suitable for your level of fitness. Thank you Joanne !

    I totally agree. I think there should be some series for people who are a little older and a little more out of shape (since many of us have jobs and kids and haven't been active for years)... I tweaked my shoulder at the beginning of this video, and I couldn't do the last set for fear of real injury. Bummer. I love Joanna so it would be great if she could make these workouts with some modifications for people who dont have the best upper body strength.

    I did it! I just wanted to remind everyone that like she said in the video, you have to find your own pace. Wherever you are in your fitness journey is okay. I have about 50 pounds that I’m trying to lose. I found this video pretty intense and I am DRENCHED. That being said, I remind myself constantly that it’s about QUALITY not quantity. Okay_ I’m gonna go die now💀

    I did this yesterday and completed. it was hard and I died many times over but I did it. I will get better over time. For reason, Joanna commenting on how hard and bit painful it was without slowing down motivated me to keep going. This is not suppose to be easy but I gotta keep my head up. My arms are shaking while typing this again. Very excited for the nextLETSGOOOOOO

    It was all fun and games until I found myself drenched by the end of it. I found your channel a week ago and I tried some of your workouts almost every day. You are the first instructor on KZread that got me hooked!     12/23/21: Day 2 of the 8-week challenge. Got home near midnight and I started this video because I didn't want to quit on only Day 2! Only did 1 rep of the first circuit before stopping. Still counts to me! Next time I'll try to plan ahead what time to workout...

    This was really hard for me! I’m 75kg woman and have practically no upper arm strength (I’m absolute beginner) so the first part had me rolling on the floor like a seal 🦭

    I'm with you there my wrists were giving me problems during the first circuit, but I was able to manage with the 2nd and 3rd ones better.

    I have decided to try out the 8-week workout plan yesterday. I was too tired and I wasn't gonna do this today but I thought "it says arms not legs how bad could it get" since my legs were sore from yesterday. My god was I wrong! I couldn't do most of the plank workouts and cut it short. I hope I can do it without having it so hard one day.

    its stressful when shes like 'using only your body weight' but for some of us thats legit over 200+ pounds making the whole first circuit feel impossible

    It's not her fault tho, I don't think she was trying to be mean. If i can give you an advice, try maybe doing some cardio for some time with tons stretches, then when your weight will be lower come back to this workout and see if it makes you still uncomfortable

    Joanna has tons of workout videos specifically meant for people who are overweight. Remember we can always modify the moves into easier ones. Listen to your body. Know your limit.

    I get it! I started out at 275 lbs. Please try her absolute beginner strength training and overweight cardio. You'll drop weight fast and they're easier on a larger body. ❤

    Starting with this 8 weeek workout program ! Guys wish me luck ☺️!! 85kg Day 1 - ✅ sweating 🔥! Knee pushups were hard ! But tried it ☺️💪 Day 2 - ✅ ooh god my arms are burning 🔥! Even though I have not used any dumbbells or water bottles 😂!! Also in the first part I was lying like a seal on the floor but gladly I challenged myself to complete it till the end 🤩!! Loved it 💯

    I'll admit I haven't managed to finish this, and I also skipped some of the workouts as it is too hard for me, but this is the process of getting fit, you lose some, you win some :)) I was nearing obesity so my doctor assigned me to a physical therapist. It has been 2-5 months since my sessions stopped and I managed to lose 16 kg from 81 kg to 65 kg. However, even though my doctor suggested I still continue to work out on my own, I haven't been able to do it because I was too busy. So now I am trying to do it by myself, thank you Miss Joanna for this!

    My heart was racing throughout this exercise and my muscles were shaking. It was really challenging I had to take occasional breaks but eventually was able to push through to the end. The second part was definitely the most difficult for me. I look forward to the rest of the workouts in this 8 week challenge as I am determined to finish it

    Notch down babe.. I took a lot notch down.. some I can't complete.. but interestingly my weight losing despite I can't do it all.. so keep going!!!

    ME : searching for dumbells But I've not bought one since when i was born So fetched a 2 liter water bottle While working out, My LE BOTTLE: dripping water drop by drop My lazy ass thinking that I'm really sweating that hard And dreaming of becoming a heroine 😂😂😂

    Great workout, day 2 of the 8 week programm :) Loving the strength and cardio combi. Not a fan of cardio, but have to include it in my workout programm, so was glad it was put in there for me ;)
