    ** DO NOT LET DRY ON CAR ** I have a detailing & paint correction business & i specialize in ceramic coating. I try a couple soaps each week, this is how I came across this particular one...so my friend's son washed her car & left it soapy. (Black car,, very warm So. Cal day about 1month ago) The sever stains in the paint and on the glass did not come off, or get lighter... even after the 3rd wash. (Since it has ceramic in it, ceramic bonding without being leveled or buffed off & allowed to dry, becomes permanently discolored until paint correction is done.) After trying everything I could, I ended up doing a full paint correction, (cut/buff + polish) & then Ceramic Coated the car bumper to bumper. The stains only went away during the cutting stage, just polishing with a Da & black spider pad was not even removing them. So... be careful if u use this, especially in the heat. Or get a better soap. 😊

    Wow thanks for sharing that buddy! I keep hearing people mention they are having this problem with this car wash and it is sad that an $11 bottle of this is causing such bad problems for people. I agree what you said what it is doing and I don't think it rinses very well leaving product behind causing high spots when it drys. Sounds like you had your work cut out but you were able to get it turned around. Haha yes I agree just get a better car wash! Thanks for sharing, watching and commenting buddy!

    I love this product! Even used it on my solar panels and noticed an increase in power generation. I use a brush when cleaning car and to make foam just swish it around for a few seconds to foam it up nicely.

    That is crazy but also a good thing that it helps out with power generation. That would work to get it to suds back up and there is nothing wrong with having to do that. Thanks for sharing your experience with this product!

    @@MeanBee392 You’re welcome! Yeah that was weird. 🤷🏻‍♂️. I think you’re right about the soap basically washing off the layer it just applied after the first rinse. Yup, some more refining should help. Probably they should make it more concentrated. Garage is looking nice also.

    @Miranda Detailing That was the only thing that really made any sense to me was applying it heavily concentrated out of the foam canon then using it heavily diluted out of the wash bucket just reversed the process 🤷🏻‍♂️. I strongly agree that if they would make it a more concentrated formula it would preform a lot better. Thanks buddy I am really hoping to get a lot done to it this summer and slowly make my dream garage a reality.

    I have had just the opposite results, I have used it on 3 vehicles, one has a 2 YO Ceramic coating of CQuartz UK 3.0, one was waxed a year ago, the other is a 5th wheel. The first one I washed was the truck that was waxed last year and sits outside 24x7x365. The pre-rinse showed no beading whatsoever anywhere on the truck. I foamed it with 8 ounces for 32 using the ArmorAll foam cannon on my 3200 gas pressure washer. Doesn't foam as well as Chemical Guys VO7, but still got foam. I then rinsed it down, and used 2 ounces to 2 gallons water in the wash buckets and washed it all down. On both rinses, the first made my jaw drop with how well it beaded, the second rinse was just as impressive as the first. It beaded up better than when the truck was freshly waxed and the surface is nice and smooth. My second wash was my ceramic coated F150 that is garage kept, and had not been washed in over a year due to not being driven because of the plandemic. Same wash technique. Pre-rinse showed the usual beading from the ceramic, foamed, rinsed and the beading was amplified over the original beading and the paint is super slick. I went over it with the wash mitt and rinsed and the truck glowed. The 5th wheel same story but I use a long brush to wash it with and do it a section at a time. I waxed it last year, took a week, I no longer feel I need to wax it, the water just falls right off. This stuff is the best wash I have ever used, and I have used a lot of high end Ceramic coated car washes, from CarPro, Chemical Guys, etc. none leave the paint beading with just laying foam and rinsing, none. One huge word of caution, when it says do not let dry on paint, they mean, do not let dry on paint. I missed a small area that dried on my F150, and boyoh, what a pain to get the marks off. I had to use a polish cloth with Reload to remove it. It does not wipe off, it does not wash off, I had to use a SIO2 based spray to remove the marks. That tells me that it does put a layer of ceramic on the paint because once SIO2 sets, you pretty much have to polish it off. I think the one advantage I may have had over this one is that my pressure washer is 3200 PSI vs the electric ones, so my rinsing can remove more surface dirt. I use a 40* tip to prevent paint damage, but have used it to remove paint from a rusted bumper too, a 20* tip can really blast the paint off, and the 0*, takes the rust off.

    Thank for your time watching and commenting! We all have different results with product and this one was a fail for me but that does not mean that it is a bad product because a lot of people like it. I have product's that I review that I really like and other try it and they may have different results and dislike them. I think using this product after a wash for a foam on rinse off to add some protection it would work great at but for the over all lubricity and clean power it fell short for me. But I do appreciate you sharing your experience with using this product and glad to hear that you like it and it works great for you.

    Interesting results. I’m getting the hydrophobic properties from a non-pressurized foam cannon as well as with a two bucket wash method. And it lasts over a week (although it diminishes a bit after 1 day and then remains consistent). Maybe I don’t dilute my wash bucket as much? Definitely doesn’t protect against dirt and stuff like I thought it would, but water definitely beads on rainy days.

    Just a few pointers on how you are actually supposed to use this product, whether it be Meguiars, or any other Ceramic wash product. First you need to Clay Bar your entire car. Then you can use a product like Meguiars Ultimate Polish with a Dual action sander and then the same thing with Meguiars Ultimate Polish. Then you use the Ceramic wash to wash your vehicle and then rinse it. On my vehicle, I used Meguiars Ceramic Wash and then after that was cured, I rewashed my vehicle and Used Nexgen Ceramic Coating to finish it off. When I wash my car now, the water just falls off of all the surfaces. The bottom line, if you are not willing to do the work to do it right, you shouldn't bother using any ceramic product. Because you won't get the proper results without expending a little elbow grease. This test was not what I would have done to show how it works. This was a LAZY mans test!

    Know this video is a bit old but I still use this product and it is amazing I do a Norma hand wash with megs gold class for that lubricity. Then foam down the car with the ceramic wash then pressure wash after a minute. The protection lasts about 2 weeks and leaves noticeable protection on cars with bare paint pretty fantastic product when used like a spray on sealant. Very similar results if you just put the soap diluted in a spray bottle and rinse panel by panel.

    Hey buddy, would love to see you review some of the AENSO soaps (and other AENSO products). I have heard they are very good. They have two soaps I believe, a PH shampoo for the paint, and then a snow foam soap. Another soap brand I'd love to hear your feedback on is FEYNLAB "PURE", and FEYNLAB "Pure Rinseless". I've heard both of those have more "bite" to them compared to other soaps but also rinse free and clean without any film left behind. The FEYNLAB soaps are supposedly very "top shelf" so to speak but reasonably priced for the quality of the soaps. I'm a big fan of rinseless washes so curious to see how the FEYNLAB compares to something like McKee's N914 which is also a great rinseless with nothing added such as gloss enhancers, wax, or Si02, etc. Just simple (very effective) shampoos.

    Hey buddy! I have heard of AENSO but never really looked into their products. I have never heard of FEYNLAB but I will definitely be checking out both of them! I really like the sounds of all three of the products that you have mentioned and you have really gotten my curiosity about them! The FEYNLAB is one that does sound very interesting to me and I just quickly looked at them on line and I am thinking that I am going to need to pick some up. They sound like a really good product and a "top shelf" one's at that like you mentioned. I need to get more into rinseless washes so maybe this will be one that I will have to try out! I want to thank you very much for the recommendations and it means a lot to me and hearing you say that you would like to see me try them out because that must mean that you are liking the content. What is your "go to" rinseless wash that you use I am just curious. I know that Lithium Auto Elixirs has a car shampoo called Double Tap and it's another soap that is just a good true traditional soap with out any added gloss enhancers or Si02 properties that cleans great and rinses clean as well. Once again thank you for your support on the channel and recommendations that I will be looking more into! Thank you for your time watching and commenting buddy!

    I did mention that at the end of the video in my final thoughts. I think the recommend to much product for the foam canon and not enough for the wash bucket. I think if Armor All would state how much water to use per 2 oz of product in the wash bucket I would of gotten better results. The wash bucket was way to diluted and I think 8 to 10 oz would of worked way better. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    So I decided to buy this, I used more than said on the instructions, it didn't even say how much water to add the 2oz too so I did 4oz with 2.5 gallons of water, and it beaded fine with a hand wash, however when I was drying it off I noticed there was a lot of dirt on the towel .. it really didn't clean well, I absolutely agree with you on that period, there was a very light film left on the car after the wash which was uncommon. I've always used Chemical Guys Citrus wash and gloss, never had a problem with any film, a very noticeable film was left though and I washed the car exactly how I would with my normal soap. After I dried it off I decided to go over the car with a detailer spray and they helped some, kinda wouldn't recommend this either, as a soap it just doesn't clean well, and if I have to go over the car with detailer spray after washing it than there really isn't much point to the beading either as the detailer can do that all on it's own. I was a little disappointing in all honest, it beads it just doesn't clean, maybe next time I'll add 2oz to my normal shampoo and see if that helps with the beading.

    Thanks for sharing your experience using this product! It has very very mild cleaning ability. I wish they would put on the bottle how many ounces to use per gallon of water but you used double of what I did and still had very little cleaning power. That is very true about there being no point to using a car wash if you have to go right behind it and use a detail spray because at that point it doesn't matter if the car wash makes the surface hydrophobic. Every one has been bashing me on this product for not liking it but as you and I both know it really is nothing to brag about. I would also be curious what your results would be adding this to your regular car shampoo and if it would make a difference. A good car shampoo might just kill this product too lol. Thanks for your time watching and commenting!

    @@MeanBee392 Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking citrus wash and gloss isn't really harsh but at one point it was known for its stripping ability so I'm not certain if adding it to the soap would really result in anything. It just doesn't make a ton of sense for the price, better soaps for cheaper, citrus wash and gloss is $22 for a gallon and 2oz works fine for 2.5 gallons. I was really only interested in this as a maintenance wash and maybe a slight booster for the coating on my truck, just doesn't clean well, they might as well remove the soap and sell it as a detailer spray.

    Yeah the Citrus Wash does have a lot of cleaning power and I think would make the Armor All look like water. But its always fun to experiment just to see what stuff like that would do. Hahaha that is a great way to put it and I don't even know about it being a detail spray because it is so low on lubricity. I just think they need to go back to the drawing board and make a more concentrated version to make it preform like they say. That is true there is a lot of other car washes out there that will out preform this one and can be used as a maintenance wash for a coating's for right around the same price.

    Ok...wouldnt you want a prewash BEFORE this? I certainly would not want to encapsulate the dirt into the paint before I even get it off with a product that "water beads." I find this type of stuff holds the dirt more. Just a thought. The dirt was still there. If it softened the dirt, it would make even a small layer come off. Nothing happened except a small amount of water beading. Am I missing something? Maybe I am confused. I always prewash and pressure wash off most of the road grime before I even think about touching my vehicle with a car soap contact wash. As a result I have almost no swirls in my paint and I own a 2017. The point in softening the dirt is to remove most of it with a pressure washer. At least that is how I interpret it. Dirt acts like sandpaper...even at the smallest, softened grain of dust. That is why a prewash, in my opinion, should be first. Then, a contact wash. Is this product more of a contact wash type of product? Another thought.. If you do a prewash afterwards, it will flatten and get rid of the "water beading" technology because prewashes have higher ph properties than regular car soap. That is why car soaps really do not remove road grime without a contact wash. They cant. Ph neutral simply cannot make the ph of the dirt reverse. Therefore, it doesnt lossen it nor does it soften it. Thats why a pressure washer with just water doesnt remove stuck on road grime either. It is simply like trying to prewash with water. It doesnt remove grime. As far as lubrisity is concerned, all it does is make the fine dust glide more all around the paint. That is why I personally prewash first. I want as little of the fine sandpaper off my paint so my paint stays as swirl free as I can possibly make it over the long term.

  • @MeanBee392

    @MeanBee392

    3 жыл бұрын

    A prewash is always a great Idea but I was doing this review based on the instructions and claims on the bottle. This product doesn't have enough property's to "set" the dirt to the panel and or bond them to the paint. As I mentioned in this video the cleaning properties "strength" really are not that good so that's why you did not see much dirt rinse off the panel. It sounds like you have a very good method for washing your car and it is working very well! That is the idea of a prewash is to remove that top layer of dirt and grime to make for a safer contact wash but you will not find a prewash soap that is going to remove even 90% of that dirt and grime. A prewash soap is designed for that top layer. Any kind of dirt or dust like you mentioned will cause some sort of damage to paint during a contact wash but if you are washing outdoors you will always have very fine dirt even if you do a prewash or not. When the paint is wet like after a prewash rinse it becomes a HUGE magnet to small dirt particles and dust when outdoors. That is true to an extent regarding prewash soaps but not all are higher PH soaps. I have several prewash soaps that are PH neutral. A higher PH will cut dirt and grime down quicker than a PH neutral soap but same goes with if you have some sort of paint protection on cutting it down as well. Some of the PH neutral prewash soaps that I use will work just as effectively but will require a longer dwell time. The PH of a soap is not making the dirt reverse when in fact it's cleaning "cutting power" is just much stronger to break it down. With the lubricity part that is a VERY important part of any product that you are going to be using on your paint. Why do you think a waterless or a rinseless wash product is MUCH higher in lubricity than just a car soap? Simply to help encapsulate the dirt and not let it bit into the paint. That is basically like saying you do not want to use a lubricant for a clay bar because it will just push contaminates around and not pick them up so just use the clay bar dry because it will be more effective. I do appreciate you sharing your thoughts but in the end this product just really fell short of a prewash or even a contact wash car soap. I think that if it was much more of a concentrated product you would see it preform a lot better but unfortunately that is not the case. I am just curious what is your favorite "go to" prewash soap and contact wash soap that you are using on your vehicle? I always like to ask to see if it's maybe a product that I haven't used that way I can try different ones out that people like and have good luck with so I can try them out as well. I do want to thank you for taking you time and watching and commenting I appreciate the support.

    I have also seen reviews of this product that others were raving about so I had to give it a shot. You are correct these types of car washes are best for use on paint that already has some sort of paint protection to help boost that protective layer. But they should also still bond to a panel without any paint protection and show some signs of the Si02 property's in it. There are some good car washes that are ceramic infused that do work very well but unfortunately this was not one that I have used. I wouldn't g, I've seen what this does when allowed to dry on a car. I detail & specialize in ceramic coating. Since It's ceramic, ceramic bonding without being leveled or buffed off & allowed to dry, becomes permanent until paint correction is done. (I'm posting this next part in the main comments too) My friends son washed her car & left it soapy, the stains in the paint and on the glass did not come off, or get lighter... even after the 3rd wash. I ended up doing a full paint correction, (cut/buff + polish) & then Ceramic Coated the car bumper to bumper. The stains only went away during the cutting stage. There are other products that offer equal hydrophobic properties with less risk to paint damage. Nice Ek btw👌, (I have a built, sleeved & boosted Em1)

    @@MeanBee392 I agree with your idea at the end of the video for using it as an afterwash from the foam cannon, and then rinse & dry. I think the vague bucket-wash dilution ratio on the product label should be re-worded to be 2oz per gallon. That would result in the 8-10oz that you suggest if you use 4-5 gallons of water. Maybe a retest of the bucket wash at 2oz product per gallon is in order?

    Hello, great video. I too am not too impressed with this product. I used this product on two vehicles that I own. I applied this product with a foam cannon and then thoroughly rinsed both vehicles with my pressure washer as per the instructions on the container. After the final rinse, I noticed how well the water beaded on the vehicle surfaces and was quite impressed on the beading properties. I had to quickly take care of a personal matter and was unable to hand dry the vehicles. When I returned, both vehicles were heavily covered in what appeared to be water spots. So I re-washed both vehicles and hand dried them, but the water spots remained from the first wash. After trying several different auto care products to remove the spots, I found only polishing compound would remove the spots from the vehicle painted surfaces, heavy duty trim cleaner for all the plastic surfaces and glass polishing compound for the windows. I spent two days cleaning and detailing both vehicles to remove all the water spots and re-polish all the surfaces. My only conclusion is that the properties of this particular ArmorAll ceramic car wash, also encapsulated the water beads and water spots left during the drying process. I'm hesitant to use this product again because of this issue, unless I can quickly hand dry the vehicle before spotting can occur. I would like to see ArmorAll change the chemistry of the product to resolve this issue or change the usage instructions to include that the vehicle must be hand dried immediately after the final rinse, otherwise heavy water spotting will occur.

    Thanks for sharing! I have heard a lot of people having this problem and it is sad to hear because a car wash should not cause these types of problems. I think that this car wash is causing problems like this because the product is not completely rinsing clean off the panels and the SiO2 property's are staying in the water beading and when dried it is causing high spots like when you are applying a true ceramic coating. Rather that is true or not that is just what makes sense to me. Thanks again for sharing, watching and commenting!

    I only used mines in a bucket wash and it worked every time but i wanna think when you lay protection down in a foam cannon, rinse and then wash the car, you prob just washin away the protection from before since it wasnt bonded to the paint since you didn't agitated it but instead it was bonded to bonded surface dirt that would require agitation to remove...which you did remove during the wash process. Science is difficult, you would think you have double protection but not. So actually it was never bonded to the paint. for me in a bucket wash alone, it last about 6 weeks of protection

    Thanks for sharing your experience with this product. For me it did not work as they claim on the bottle and their vague instructions. I think if this product was a heaver concentration to would work better that's why you saw better results out of the foam canon because it is laying it on thick compared to the wash bucket. My question for you is do you use 2 oz in your wash bucket? If so how much water do you use?

  • @Dee--Jay

    @@MeanBee392 in a bucket wash I only use one gallon of water every wash and I put 2 oz of this soap. In the directions, it didn't say per gallon, it just said 2 oz per bucket of water. How much is a bucket? So because I always use 1 gallon of water, I just use 2 oz per 1 gallon of water. I still think when you laid down the foam, the ceramic technology was bonded to the bonded contaminants. When you came right behind it with a wash, you just washed it away with the agitation by removing the dirt... so try it without using the foam cannon in a regular bucket wash and I promise you it will work

  • @MeanBee392

    @MeanBee392

    3 жыл бұрын

    That makes sense because you are using it less diluted than I did with only one gallon of water. That is also what I think happened is that it was very concentrated foaming it on then very diluted washing out of the bucket and washing it off. I was just going per their directions for their product but as we saw that did not work. I think 8 oz or more in a 2.5 gallon bucket would do the trick. I was just making a review of how they stated to use their product and not trying to bash the product. I just wish they would put more clearer of directions on their bottle. I will have to try it again to see. Thanks for your input and commenting back!

    Directions clearly state to foam up and agitate. You could have followed the directions at least on the test panel. I know the truck was muddy but with a rinse down with the pressure washer and adequate lubrication from the foam cannon your not going to mare the paint. If your so worried about marring the paint why wouldn’t you just foam the car up again and then agitate? This is a great product for the price if you follow the directions!

  • @MeanBee392

    @MeanBee392

    2 жыл бұрын

    I feel that the direction are not real clear and especially for someone that might just be getting into taking care of their car. Lubricity of this product is extremely lacking so just foaming then agitate the foam on the surface is going to mare the paint if it is real dirty. Personally this product needs some refining because a lot of people are having problems with it leaving spots on their paint as you could read in the comments. I am not trying to argue that this is a good or bad product because we all will have different results, but their are a lot better ceramic soaps out there that will beat this one by miles. I do appreciate you time watching and commenting though!

The water spotting left stains in the plastic trim on the Ford. I’m sure that’s from my experiential air dry but still. If you want a regular soap for routine washes this isn’t it. I’ll stick to old-school wash and wax. Really wanted to like this product. But the hand wash method frankly sucks and the 2oz “per bucket” which is DOES say ...how weird is that!?

I have also seen other video of other KZreadrs having better luck with this product but the only thing that makes any sense to me is that they are using a lot more of the product than it calls for so in my situation it is very diluted and not preforming like it should. But that is what Armor All specifically calls for on the label is 2 oz in a wash bucket but they never stated how much water for that 2 oz though. I also was thinking the same thing and should of tried it with more product in the bucket but because of their instructions and not wanting to drag the video on to long I didn't do that.
