    If you think what it did to a flat paint is impressive, you should see what it does to a Ceramic coated one! This soap has just replaced several steps in my washing routine. Before I would foam it with Chemical Guys VO7, rinse, then hand wash with Carpro Reset per Carpro, followed up with a wipe down of Reload. One foam and rinse and the paint looked as if I just did the other steps, and that was BEFORE handwashing! My other truck got a polish and cheap coat of wax on just to protect it until I could go hog wild on correction, and it wasn't looking that good after a year, but the soap made it look like it did right after waxing.

    stuff works really well, just washed my car this weekend at 7 pm with no sun in the shade and i was able to cannon my whole vehicle with no residue left behind. I'll be careful in the future to not let it dry. I'm not sure how long the hydrophobic properties will last, but man this was really easy to use on my daily driver where i get 80% of the results for 5% of the effort of a full clean/clay bar/ceramic coat. Sure it probably wont last as long but its relatively easy and only too me 20 minutes to do.

    I had same issues with this. Leaves streaks using a foam canon and regular hose. I applied and gave it 3-5 mins to loosen dirt. Then hosed off. Then did the two bucket method. Not sure if the streaks came from the foam canon or the hand wash. But a real PIA to remove. So maybe foam canon and then immediate rinse.

    Not bad, kinda impressed as well for what it is. Most of the ceramic soaps on the market are subpar anyways and this seems to handle itself well. I just wonder how it would work as a maintenance wash for a true coating or spray, it may try to mask the coating which would probably result in worse water behavior. Some products don't top well, while some do, it seems like a decent option to maintain depending on how it tops other coatings. I kinda wonder if the soap spots are just the SiO2, I've had times where quick detailer misted onto my windshield, I didn't catch it and the mist hardened up on me the next time I went to drive the vehicle. That is kinda a really big con.

  • @TheCarDetailingChannel

    @TheCarDetailingChannel

    I think it is the Si02 content that is causing the spots. I've have Fireball HydroFoam (high si02 content soap) cause similar spots when I purposely let it dry on the surface. The longer you let it bake in the sun, the harder the spots are to remove. This is an issue that could be a huge problem for people that have no choice but to wash in full sun (like most of us).

    Interesting results !!! Seems like a poor dilution ratio, so cost per wash is quite expensive in comparison to others, however, its a bit of a unicorn in that its a foaming Si02 wash, that produces a good result. That being said there is the ease of use factor that seems quite restrictive, and time consuming. I think they are going to shoot themselves in the foot with this one, as its just going to generate a ton of bad and negative reviews for guys at home letting it dry on the paint ( yes, even though the instructions tell them not to). I'd like to see proper dilution ratios for bucket wash on there, as I'm not a big fan of the glug glug measuring system :) Seeing the results on this, I'd probably give it a shot (not on my car), as its probably the best results from a wash n wax I've ever seen :)

  • @TheCarDetailingChannel

    @TheCarDetailingChannel

    The dilution ratio thing bugs me aswell. I don't like when companies half ass their ratios like this; Am I supposed add 2 ounces to 1 gallon, 4 gallons, 6 gallon? I went with with 2 ounces to a gallon because I've seen other similar soaps with that ratio (TW Hybrid Ceramic Soap calls for 3ozs to a gallon). That being that, that's way more soap per gallon than some of the more premium car wash soaps which ends up bring the cost per alot closer together. I completely again in that I also think they will receive alot of negative reviews from people complaining about spotting caused by this soap.

  • @final3119

    Like any true ceramic coating, it will only gloss and shed what it goes on, any defects under will still be there. This soap is best to use if the paint is already in good clean condition. IOW I wouldn't use it on a car that needs major claybar and polish work, it will just make it difficult to remove the junk on the paint. I missed a small area that dried, it does NOT come off easy, almost had to break out the DA to remove it, but thankfully found that a mist of Reload will remove it, or at least level it so you can no longer see it.

    Not bad at all actually. BC water comes from the North Shore mountains and is relatively good compared to some other parts of Canada and the US

    @@mr.a6767 I had the same issue trying to get water spots out. I ended up using meguiars quick detailer with microfiber and some elbow grease. 45 min job turned into 2 hour job.

    It tells you in the directions to use a clean dry cloth to wipe the excess off. You aren't supposed to let the drops dry on the car. I was impressed with your video until you did that!

    Nope. I bought this crap last week and it barely built up suds, didn't clean worth a hoot even with scrubbing and barely, barely beaded. Bought some Meguiar for 1/2 the price and got a nice sudsy clean. $13 for the Armor all, $7 for the Meguiar.
