A visit to Khor Virap, the birthplace of Armenia's Christianity, Areni winery for some great wine tasting, Noravank Monastery built in 13th- 14th century and a dinner at a restaurant hanging over a river.
Recently I had the opportunity to join a group of childhood friends
at a reunion. Friends I haven’t seen for over 40 years, since the Lebanese
civil war has erupted, back when we all had to leave, overnight, abruptly...
The reunion took place in Armenia, my ancestral homeland, where
we spent a couple of weeks in official meetings, sight seeing and touring.
Every day we spent in Armenia was full of joy. From the moment we set
foot we were greeted with a level of love and hospitality unmatched
anywhere else in the world. Most amazing was the creative, artistic, and
highly talented musicians, performers, dancers, poets, painters you
encounter in every corner, and every venue, and every stage and performing
center.
Prat 4 of ARMENIA Uncensored is about that emotional roller coaster everyone experiences on their first visit. It’s that overwhelming feeling when you see with your own eyes, for the first time, that despite centuries of horrible wars, the Genocide by the Ottoman Turks, the earthquakes, how lively, how caring, how forgiving and how loving the ARMENIAN people are.
One can not be, but totally in tears and bow in front of such grace.
