I live in Vegas, UFC is the most popular event in our city. He is a good kid. Don't pay attention to most of the negative comments. Those people are not from the USA, most likely.. as an Armenian by nationality fighter, he can get lots of negative feedback from Azerbaijani fans..of course they will support Islam.

Congratulations to Arman; I’m a Charles fan and it upset me so much that Charles apparently is too hesitant when he has the fear of getting taken down. He ends up on the ground anyway, so he should come in like he did against many strikers! Oh well, Arman fought well. It was a good call, a split decision, and good that Arman got the W.

Submission attempts from Oliveira came from mistakes that Arman made. The 1st submission attempt was due to Arman slipping and panicking to grab his leg which he didn’t need to. The second submission attempt was just plain dumb by Arman when he had position on Oliveira already for most of the round. Islam doesn’t make those silly mistakes. But overall, Arman won very decisively in every aspect in my opinion

That's what struck me too. Charles has been incredible at avoiding GnP. Lee, Poirier, Chandler, Islam and Beneil weren't able to land any damage when they had top control. The fact Arman could do it in rd2 was impressive, he studied Oliveira very well.

Dustin has been with the UFC longer, is one of their biggest names, and hasn't fought recently. Most fighters can't make a 6 week turn around so there's no one else for Islam to fight.

As I saw some of the fight he was not better than Oliveira probably nuances have made him to win, but Machachev is in another level even Usman can beat him I think. Arman is very strong but he is not sharp on movements, he is missing the agility.

Absolutely..he can't outwrestle islam and he can't win decision against islam. He can't submit islam. Only chance is lucky punch. But even in striking islam is way better than him.

Arman actually offers up a really good opponent for Islam because the champ has shifted his style into a more Muay-Thai approach. Islam doesn't want to face a freestyle wrestler with cardio like Arman. Islam actually prefers to fight against high-level BJJ artists because his sambo face destroys any active guard. I am not saying Arman would win but the wrestling cardio needed to beat Islam would be there. Furthermore, the Thai clench wouldn't work so well against the wrestler in Arman. Charles was terrible though. It's as if he believed he would sub Arman. He didn't employ any kicks, any knees, didn't even fight in the clench but then again, he was afraid of the ground and pound from Arman.

This guy is no the same competition for Islam is no good enough

He hasn’t improved since 5 years compared to what Islam has become today. There are huge levels between them and first fight was 3-0 decision in to islam but he had to grind a little but convicting win

nobody asked if the last choke in final 1 minute 3rd round was tight. He seemed ok with thumbs up but not sure after that.
