That’s how wrestling works. Bo tries one take down, not filling committing. It has his opponent thinking about a single leg, then you shoot a double or hit a duck under. You do this over and over again until your opponent is confused. And with his level of technique you’re gonna get confused fast. Then you take the back and leg ride, that punishes your opponent. The crowd doesn’t like it, but you get to rest while simultaneously really punishing your opponents gas tank. One wrong move and Bo would finish him, so Cody had to expend a lot of energy. Its like when am anaconda eats a jaguar. Boring, but you’re not stopping it.

In Collegiate Wrestling, he couldn't lock hands, elbow to the neck, punch a man when he's on top, choke out an opponent, etc. and so many other rules. As a Collegiate Wrestler he was remarkable (technical)and now that he can add all of these moves and more to disable his opponent, so he has a definite advantage. Add his grappling ability, he will be tough to beat with more "seasoning" and better opponents.Even the best, we have seen them lose, sometimes at the end of their career though.! Barring injuries he should have a long tenure.

When Aliskerov fought Chimaev, he never attempted a single takedown. He spent the entire round defending with his back to the cage. And when he finally broke free, he got KTFO’d.
