ARMAGEDDON Is Not A Battle Fought Where You've Been Taught

So, Armageddon must be a battle at Megiddo, Mount Megiddo. Ok, we have been taught this for centuries, it's bogus. And all you need to do is go to Megiddo. There's no mountain there. Har mageddon is the Mount of Assembly, it is not Megiddo. Armageddon will not be fought at Megiddo it will be fought over Jerusalem. Why? Because that's the cosmic mountain and it's the cosmic north. It's the place where God is. And not only that, but it's the place of the Divine Council. Armageddon is more than just a military engagement. It is a cosmic war. It is a war, as the Dead Sea Scroll War Scroll would put the phrase «it is a war of gods and men.» And the description Har mageddon, Mount of assembly captures all that in just two words, in one phrase. Check it out!

I’ve spent the last 6 years questioning everything about the world, history, reality and yes, even having to re-learn Bible truths that were run over by long held church traditions. Deception is everywhere (not always malevolent) but false nonetheless. We have been lied to about most things, so it takes a while to cut through it all and come out on the other side. It’s a journey

I am so immensely grateful for Dr. Heiser!!!! The generous sharing of his wealth of knowledge has been an answer to prayer. I’ve searched high and low for decades to find this type of info. Due to chronic health issues and minuscule income I couldn’t afford to physically or financially attend a routinely scheduled class. Yet, when I’m able to jump in here I am blessed beyond measure to have access to so much in depth content that he puts out. Much easier for me to follow than a podcast. I have read nearly EVERY book of yours though Doc! All my questions from long ago answered and thoughts confirmed! I literally shouted for joy and praised the LORD for having you brought into my life. I truly can’t thank you enough kind sir!!! If only I stayed in Bellingham at least one more year, I would have been there when you started at Logos! Just missed you, but grateful to know you now. Praise be the LORD MOST HIGH! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

On year 70 Jerusalem was NOT fought on a battlefield, but instead destroyed, fullfiling the prophetic words of JESUS/YAHSHUA. But 2,000 years later, battles are not fought in the same way, due to advance technologies & weapons of massive destruction. Most preachers only preach about THE END by worldwide destruction & completely deleting chapter 21 of REVELATIONS: THE THOUSAND YEARS OF HEAVENLY KINGDOM ON EARTH by The City that is coming down from Heaven and not going to Heaven... Long way to go before any real END TIMES event.

This is true exegesis- so often we are forced by “Bible teachers” to accept teachings that either don’t make sense or are in conflict with other clear scriptures teaching the opposite- so called problem text. The problem is not the text but the doctrine of man that has been adopted in opposition to the scriptures.

@Julian Clarke interesting, after a bit of study I see where there is argument on the translations because it came from the Septuagint and Vulgate rather than the Hebrew bible, however another argument is ( the Israelites crossed as יָם סוּף (yam suph), meaning “Sea of Reeds”) If יָם סוּף (yam suph) is to be understood as “Reed Sea” or “Sea of Reeds,” it would be located in the marshy delta region of Egypt. However, if יָם סוּף (yam suph) is taken as “End Sea” or “Sea of the Border,” then the body of water today known as the Red Sea may be the correct referent (compare O’Rourke Boyle, “ ‘In the Heart of the Sea,’ ”) Also in your comment you referred to "The the LAW Keeping Israelites who the World Calls Negroes Will be Lead Back into our Land by Christ" I have never heard of the jews being called "Negroes". However to me I dont care if Christ was Black, White, Yellow or red it makes no difference to me and should not be argued among YHWH's children because we are all Humans...Gods Imagers and thats what we should do is image YHWH (God) as best as we can. Thank you for your comment its all about learning the word together. Blessings

The reason it's perplexing is because our pastors don't go any further than seminary. They don't know the ancient Semitic languages or even know ANE history or culture. Those are HUGE when trying to understand the Bible. You can see by this one video that we miss a lot in translation. You can't simply equally translate from Aramaic, ancient Hebrew to Greek to English. It takes a biblical scholar knowledgeable about those languages and their derivatives to piece it together and place it correctly grammatically and in it's proper ancient context in line with the customs of the time period in which it was written. For instance, the word "snake/serpent" in Genesis 3 is actually very convoluted and not as simple as "snake". The ancient word used in the original text is "nchsh". It's an ancient Hebrew word derived from Ugarit & Akkadian. This means you have to take those two languages into account as well. Next, grammatically within the sentence, it's used as a triple entendre (noun, adjective, & verb). All to say that the actual meaning is "divine shining being". So Eve wasn't speaking to a "snake/serpent" but a divine shining being. This explains why she wasn't shocked by a talking snake. Lastly, you must take into account ancient iconography from history. The "snake/serpent" motif was commonly used by ancient peoples of that time to denote an entity from the supernatural realm. This is all teaching from Dr. Michael Heiser in is book, "The Unseen Realm".

Great depth of insight, and to be truthful, humanity is in the thick of it,and always has been, but now it's known to all.We as spiritual beings are knowing, just the ego is in control. So this is the initial point where most of us are, however the Holy writings, throughout history appeal to our (better half) evoking wellbeing. We internally hold to our hearts desires and expect that to suffice, contrary to the divine grace, which is ignored. Humanity is opposed to reality and is paying the price of rebellion against the Cause of God, and this is the story of the unguided of God, those who have joined partners with him. Can you think of a greater conflagration than the fight of the entire world against truth, honesty, fairness, equality, etc..? All faiths aside, the source of reality (truth) has always been in successive revelation and produced by and at the direction of the Almighty through his messengers.

There are tels there from ancient cities but the geography is mostly natural. So, he might be right about his interpretation but he is wrong that there is no mount associated with Megiddo.

I totally disagree ,valley of Migido is a huge valley that has been a place of huge battles in the past. The kings of the East alone will come with 200 million men. Where do they fit and when Jesus and the saints come and wipe them out the blood will be up to the bridal of a horse. It would take a valley to hold that much blood and fit that many in.

Revelation 14:20 says And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse’s bridle, for 1,600 stadia [about 184 miles].”. Briitannica says Israel is 290 miles long (www.britannica.com/place/Israel). So basically the fighting will be all over Israel with the heaviest fighting centered on Jerusalem. Who knows, Meggido could be the staging ground and final pre battle assembly area for the 200 million man Army of the Kings of the East.

I was taught that "har" meant "mound" and that Megiddo, as a dead city, has a "tel" or mound of ruins marking its location. Thus, although it is in a plain, it does have a Mound of Megiddo. And since I have done some archaeology, I tend to take city mounds fairly seriously. And of course, God knew it would be a dead mound. But if you think it's going to be at the "Mount of Assembly," then we will just have to wait and see. And yes, we already know that Jerusalem is a flashpoint, where conflict is likely. We just want to see which way the tanks start rolling in.

This is one of the reasons why I'm keeping my eye on what's currently going on in and around Jerusalem. I believe that Revelation was written primarily to address what was going on during the final days of Jerusalem and the Second Temple, as well as to address the persecution of the early Christian church; both under the crushing heel of the Roman Empire. However, I also believe that Revelation may also include prophecies and futuristic events that will encompass the entire Earth and will be detrimental to the fate of the entire human race.

The battles are fought in our conflicted minds. What sort of relationship do you have with your other Self. Do you struggle with doing things that you know are wrong? Being true to yourself? You are your brother and his keeper. There is more than one of you in that head. There is a secret-you that is rarely revealed and another image that is on display most of the time. We debate with ourselves daily often easily justifying our decisions and actions and/or passing the blame onto someone else or the Devil, he is that adversarial voice in our head that just wants us to have what we desire. Proper balance or a Holy union is key. A harmonious mind, without enmity, is crucial for our overall well-being. Are we in the right state of mind for peace, joy, and prosperity? I think many are not psychologically suited to live life more abundantly.
