I think the best thing about the hand flares is that someone said they were to bright, as if it does not have "High intensity signal flare" written on it.

@@Viper1Zero Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is the game that introduced me to Tom Clancy. Since then I've played almost every Tom Clancy game that Ubisoft has made. Ghost Recon Wildlands was really fun but Breakpoint last time I played it was pretty bad. I enjoyed the first few years of Rainbow Six Siege and as much as I wished it was a traditional R6 game it was fun because it was a grounded tactical shooter game which is far and few between these days. I just wish they paid more attention to the PvAI part of the game. Of course that won't happen because that's not where they make their money. I haven't played R6 Extraction partially just because I don't have the money right now but also because it just doesn't feel like a Tom Clancy game

Funny the over shoulder mod that mimics Wildlands or Breakpoint etc? Modders on the GR end, made 1st person mods to get rid of that 3rd person view. Well guess both sides can be happy now. But 1st person in a mil-sim or sim lite as in GR is a must. Just more immersive in 1st as, can you imagine VR with 3rd person? 😉

I have seen webknight death and hit reaction mod try it and got good results

I love your vids, I love it when I see your comments on the workshop, and I often see eye to eye with you on mods. As someone that clearly loves them, uses them and embraces them… do you deal with friends and players that are anti mod? I feel it’s an ongoing battle with my friends. They act like a 90s parent blaming computer games on computer problems when it comes to mods and Arma. I’d love any advice from anyone on how to deal with mod fear or worse mod hate in communities or player groups.

Nah I don’t experience any kind of mod hate like that, personally. There definitely are purists out there and I don’t think they’re wrong for enjoying an unmodded experience but they definitely shouldn’t shit on those that do! Maybe just express that you both enjoy the experience how you choose to, which is Arma 3’s greatest strength!

When i was working in oklahomai got to see the elephant plane fly by and i must say its a spectacle to witness its like a moving building so awesome i even have a video of it all though the video does it no justice lol you have to see it in real life

Fun fact; the ITC land systems mod lets you, more or less, airburst shells; just get your time of travel, and set the fuse to go off roughly half a second 'fore they're to hit. ITC land systems is great - I handle artillery for my arma unit and I use it quite a lot.

Is there any mods for Arma 3 that stop Ai from walking through walking through walls? I spent about 3 days building a mission and learning coding just for them to ruin my mission walking through walls like Casper the ghost.

Why is my 200+ mods loadout not working when I either add or REMOVE any single of those mods?

Can use for both. For campaign you’ll need a Zeus cheat mod to Zeus an arsenal in during campaign missions

I'm not really sure what it is, but I just can't fly fixed wing in Arma 3, I can fly anything in DCS, but in Arma, I feel almost claustrophobic, like I can't see anything, and I feel like I have no room to operate and maneuver. And most of time I'm on the deck in DCS!

You need to push your view distance out if you can! I wonder if that’s the issue? I don’t think I’ve ever felt claustrophobic flying in A3 but the relatively smaller maps does mean you get where you’re going much faster so I can see how you’d feel rushed especially after playing DCS with 1:1 scale environments

@@Viper1Zero I always have my render distance up pretty high, and I think the render distance is probably one of reasons. It's not because of DCS though, I felt the same way before flying in Project Reality and similar games, I bet it's the "small" maps and short render that does it.

I honestly don’t think one exists strictly as a boot camp, but many Arma 3 units offer their own type of boot camp training! I would also recommend doing the Bootcamp campaign missions

Honestly the best way I can describe the shift from A2 to A3 was a loss in "weight" if that makes any sense. It took me some time to find the magic that makes A3 amazing. Which is funny because they're both built off the same engine, one is just more modified.

@@Viper1Zero I absolutely agree. “Weight” would definitely be right concept. That “weight” that made you feel rooted to reality in the game. I believe this “weight” came from things in the mechanics. Mainly movement. With things like input delays. Mouse deceleration to make you spin slowly. And just other things that slowed down movement. And then the vehicle physics were something else. They felt heavy and actually tied to the ground. Unlike arma 3 where vehicles are sort of “soft” and sleek but driving a hummer in arma 3 does not feel the same way as driving a hummer in arma 2. Funny to think how such small changes can have such a massive effect on how we experience and enjoy a game. Just the loss of input delay on foot movements Just the loss of turn speed limiters And we have a completely different game Not “completely” different but enough to FEEL something was lost

@@LakevusParadice I see you’re a fellow man of culture that truly appreciates the tiny nuances that make or break a gaming experience. Haha The thing for me is both A2 and A3 are phenomenal at what they do but in their own right. I will say flying in A3 feels far more “fluid” that A2 did, and I honestly can’t put my finger on it but I think it’s the added environmental factors. Also the better clouds are a plus for me. Ha. I also had far less Arma moments in A2.

@@Viper1Zero true Funny enough I enjoyed flying helicopters and stuff in arma 2 more. I think have more “weight” to them as well. A lot more. Well maybe not a lot more but noticeable amount more turn struggle that made them feel sluggish. The Pawnee in arma 3 feels so fast and fluid to me I almost forget I’m even in a helicopter “Fluid” is another great word to describe the concept of arma 3. But I think this is a side effect of when you shave off certain systems. Like dropping input delays and such that streamline the experience and make it FEEL fluid. Whether that’s a good thing or not is I suppose up to the person playing. But I’ve always felt arma 2 was the king and nothing has made me feel like it since
