Your appreciation for vanilla Arma 3 stuff is cool, and these lesser known mod lists are actually pretty helpful since a lot of these mods you just wouldn't know to search for and aren't super popular so get missed. Keep it up!

I can vouch for the 'Blue Water' mod and the 'No Haze' mod, both are simple and work quite well! I have used both for years. Another good mod that has been missed that I have used for years is called 'HelpMe' mod. A little of everything in it. Most of the important functions have hotkeys for which is nice. Some features are cheats and some are quality of life enhancements. Works with everything I have used it with (missions/campaigns). It is one Steam, just search the workshop for it. Thanks V1Z for your work on the videos as well! Been watching them for quite a while too! From a former vet to a 'soon to be vet', thanks for your service! :)

The vid was amazing! As I have reinstalled ArMa just to play with these mods. (I now own a MilSim group on multiple games lol) And the mods you have recommended in your videos have been an amazing help, so thank you for that. If I was able to give a suggestion, maybe include themes for each video like for instance, next video is Modern themed, like without the futuristic 2035 stuff, and so on.

I've been using No More Aircraft Bouncing for a long time now. It truly never leaves my mod list. After I saw the Reduced Haze Mod in one of your other videos, it hasn't left my mod list either. I do wish I had a TrackIR because having to use so many key binds when flying jets or helis is not terrible but it is very clunky. Good set of mods and they all definitely deserve more downloads

Hey, it's a good day when Viper posts. On the CSAT note, I could be wrong but one could say it was intentional to make them seem... alien, hostile or unfriendly to show them "bad guys". I don't recall where I heard this but it does make sense. Also I'm CSAT fan, gimme them helmets xD

One of my favorite mods of all time is one you can't get anymore because it was on Armaholic: Vehicle Doors and Lights. Fortunately I kept a copy. It's never left my mod list.

CSAT helmets and equipment is weird but i like em, i understand why someone might not but i think the arma franchise has thrived in looking at wonky future scenarios like the xm7 in 2 and the way they changed the warriors turret to one that was never adopted irl. I feel like bohemia also knew that wasn't the direction china whould go into but it stands out as memorable wich is needed in a lot of military shooters and im just interested if things like fully bulletproof suits with ac or helmets that grab your head like that can be something well do in the future. But the retexture does work great, mostly cause base arma 3 gives the militaries very little options in equipment.

Viper you're not only a great KZreadr but also an amazing service man, Thanks for your content and service!

I'm a mod maker for Arma 3 on hiatus right now, but I can definitely add that yes it is an absolute pain in the ass to mod Arma 3, however it was worse to mod the older games for sure. I can say these individuals are awesome for the mods they've created and I can only dream of achieving the same status as them one day. Thanks for your videos, Viper! Always a treat to watch them!

Some great mods in that list Viper - I'd almost forgotten about Head Range plus - time to dust off my TrackIR. Keep up the good work - Arma3 is alive and kicking.

i totally agree, tpw mods give life to every mission u are in, the radio chatter, civ life ,animals, aircraft flyovers, city ambiance, house furniture, even ponds when it rains

I'm a big infantry boy so while I do love these mods and have all except for one (track IR) I prefer the mods like grenade animation and recoil coefficient mods that make inf combat less robotic. Gotta say tho the vibes in your videos are stellar. Been lurking here and in the discord since a year or two ago when it was released and man it's a great group you got going.

Some great mods there. Didn't know about the Vile Hud mod though. I just turn everything off manually, so I am looking forward to using that mod. Thanks for sharing.

Been using the 3CB factions mod to rework AAF and CSAT forces to look more like current Eastern and Western forces. Honestly love using the RHS gear but with that AAF and CSAT camo scheme

You know, a mod that I'm surprised that hasn't been created yet is a vanilla FIA overhaul mod or even a simple weapon replacer for the TRG-21, we have a decent selection of rifles from APEX that fit the FIA just fine, even Bohemia used them for the Tac-Ops Mission Pack. The FIA faction just need a little spice for me to like them more than I currently do.

Extended Head Range also allows you to lean out of the Little Bird to check your tail rotor, peek over your console in a jet on carrier landings, lean and turn around in helicopters to to count gow many peiple youre carrying and to ensure everyone dismounted, its great.

Nice video as always mate. Could you do a video of mods that enhance the vanilla ground vehicles please? What im hoping for are mods that increase the damage protection of MRAPS, IFV and APCs so the people won't die when the vehicle is hit - sort of bring them to real life standards, improve the power of vehicles and enhance the turned in capability of the vehicles? Welcome back to the FIGHT

You probably know, but the AH-99 was the AH-66 Comanche. It never entered service in the real world, but it was available in Arma 2 Eagle Wing campaign as an alternate to the Apache. Also I'm totally with you on CSAT. I like the camo in the mod you showed, downloaded. Thanks.

Yup! Never went past the prototype phase and its really sad. The -64D was deemed the right answer, and honestly I'm not mad because I love the Apache more lol

I have but I don't think DCS will be regular content for me until my kids are a little older and I have more time to dedicate to gaming. Arma is the perfect fit right now because I can get on and get stuff done in 20 min where as DCS its 1:1 time and the camera controls are SHIT.

When it comes to the Comanche, I like the AH-99R Mohican mod better, the bay doors can be closed and the external pylons can be Jetsoned if I remember, though the mod itself has its own quirks : - The helicopter itself isn't available in the virtual garage ( I modded the file myself and added it there so I can spawn it at will) - If you spawn it in Eden or Zeus, it won't have the external pylons, you have to either add them manually through console commands or rearm at an ammo truck for them to be added automatically. Other than these quirks, the mod is completely functional, the original mod file is still available in the workshop under the name "AH99R test" The mod was made by firewill himself. Edit: Confirmed, you can even add the radar on top and apparently ,it's functional, really a shame that the mod was abandoned .

I don't even think that mod is available anymore, I don't see it in the workshop. Think he pulled it a couple years back.

I recently got into DCS and upgrade with a HOTAS and Tobii Eyetracker. I also tried it out on Arma, but I dont really feel using the HOTAS, because as soon as I need to go into my camera, im back on Mouse and Keyboard. How do you bring this together?

@@Viper1Zero Oh nice. I was actually at Hurlburt for a couple years (2015-18). Worked electronic warfare systems on the AC-130U. I was just totally surprised to hear you mention being in that area cause I've watched quite a few of your videos. Pretty small world 🤙

As for a new player getting into arma 3 mods, whats your go to rearm, repair and refuel method. I use the USAF service menu for f35/f22 but that doesn't work for vanilla aircraft. Is there a one stop shop mod for all aircraft?

There isn't, however you can easily make a composition of vanilla, USAF, and Firewill rearm/refuel point assets.
