@@thefearlessguy3783 lmao "they aren't athletes theyre armwrestlers". Lmao they aren't athletes they're football players, they aren't athletes they're gymnasts, they aren't athletes they're martial artist. If it takes skill and physical effort, then it takes athleticism. Just as any sport. MMA, UFC, NFL, MLB, NBA. All takes skill and physical effort, therefore the world elites in each of thier respective sports, are athletes. Devon Larrat was special forces, you're saying he isnt a athlete?? More of an "athlete" than any football player or basketball player combined

2015 Loss, Devon was 20lbs lighter and in the middle of rehabiliatation, nowhere near the beast in this video, and before this match John beat Devon 3 times before Devon hit his prime and peak weight. Once Devon hit his prime no one could beat him. That's the truth, John simply not as good as Devon prime vs prime. I would love to hear John and Devon talk about this match on a podcast. John says he was hurt, but was he hurt in the middle rounds? Came in hurt? How strong was Devon compared to the Johnny Walkers, Lupkes, Todd, Pushkar's of the world that day?

@@trueneutral3092 John was hurt from a snowmobile accident. John called Neil to postpone the match - Niel said, no - you're pulling. John pulled anyway - then Neil never paid him a penny. If you don't include this match, or the off the couch 60 year old comeback - John would have a 5-0 record vs Devon * ON CAMERA * - off camera it's prolly like 30-0 Brzenk. L o L. It doesn't take more than a few days for a thumb wrist sprain to heal. Make sense he was back to regular form in that time.

regardless of their game plan for this weekend in Dubai, I hope Devon remembers that he won this match before they even pulled. the calm, confident, swagger that Devon possessed on this day sent shockwaves into Johns soul that day -- and this was apparent to everyone with two good eyeballs, and gave Devon an air of dominance is this match that has not been eclipsed by anyone in any hand-to-hand combat sport since. I hope Devon's demeanor from this match makes a return appearance this weekend. the demeanor Devon carried in the Chaffee WAL match won't be good enough, this time.

I agree. I don't think Devon will let John blast through him to get those non-strapped pins the way he did in their rematch and how Devon was unable to slip out. Devon's level of strength has gone waaaay up since this match or their rematch. I expect this same type of result however.

Love John among several other competitors but Devon is my favourite lol, he's not just an arm wrestler, he's a personality! John has a mystique about him though, he's kind of like the fedor of armwrestling!

@@deltacharlie1321 No john told him that he had problems, that's where I heard it from. I don't think you listened to the entirety of any of the interviews with john! John is the one who told that he was injured here, but had already promised the match and would not brake his word. Doesn't change the facts, he lost. Very similar to when Devon was coming off of surgery in 2016, not near 100% and john had an easy time with him even being so old and shoulder problem himself( he retired because of the shoulder clicking and pains)

John is John. No comparison. And, his humbleness is just out of the league. Only thing that made the difference is he is now a old man. You can't expect the same horse power from a age old engine and to run against Ferrari.
