Arkansas Traveller 100 Mile Ultramarathon: Racing the Clock
Спорт
Hey, everybody! On October 7-8, 2023, I completed my 4th 100 mile trail race, the Arkansas Traveller 100. This was my first real attempt at breaking 24 hours for the 100 mile distance, and it turned into a frantic race against the clock.

Good report. Find a candy called GinGins. It always helps me w GI issues on endurance runs. And I was at Bandera also
Congratulations on your run! I remember seeing you as you came through CrossRoads and you were excited that you were going to make it below 24 hours! Amazing!

Congrats! I’m doing this race this year. I’m nervous about getting lost. I know there was that part that you got off trail, but for the most part will it be pretty obvious if I am on the correct trail or not? Or should I bring some gps map

Thanks man. It's such a great race, and such a well-organized event. The course is very well-marked. You just have to stay alert and never assume you know where you're going. Check for markers anytime you see a side trail or hit an intersection, and anytime you go a few minutes without seeing other runners or trail markers, stop and assess your surroundings before you go too far off course. If you run enough races like this, you're guaranteed to make a wrong turn eventually, usually just out of exhaustion or poor judgment. But they do a really nice job keeping everyone safe and on course at the Arkansas Traveller.
