Arizona Copper Silver Prospect, with special toll mill access

Ғылым және технология

‪@mineoperator‬ follows up on a property with promising galena quartz veins that carry copper, silver, and possibly gold. The owners of the minerals believe in this claim and gave us the tour. Ron, Chad, and Harry were tested on this adventure by trying to access a prospect with many hazards and obstacles.
Common sense, situational awareness, wisdom, adaptability, and flexibility (real-time risk assessment) are required to stay alive over the desire for discovery; remember this, and you cannot go wrong when prospecting.
Never compromise to external pressures or lack of time to test a prospect. After overcoming snakes, washed-out roads, and dangerous loose rocks to scale, MineOperator samples the beginnings of a possible mine. We have the assay results from the channel sample and will share them soon.

    A leaf rake is THE BEST thing for pulling rock off a slope like that! Just cut the handle short, put an extra grip handle grip on it and yank tons of that little stuff off in a hurry, and over a wide space, without doing too much actual work.

    Hi Steven. We've been looking at 5 properties. There's some toll milling potential on some of them. We've also been able to help some with access to their workings, sampling methods, and have really enjoyed these visits. We couldn't agree more with you. We want to get dug into one mine and get after it, and we plan to do that. We have a location with some ore in a stope. We've been engineering a plan to get after it and that's what we're going to focus on. All the while, planning our next location with ore. Will show some nice gold recoveries soon!

    The angle on your anker is too great. Please review anker construction literature. That setup will multiply the pulling force of your load onto your anker. It is probably not a big deal for that particular job, but should be avoided.

  • @mineoperator

    @mineoperator

    6 ай бұрын

    I appreciate your comment. I'm sure I met the minimum safety guidelines for fall protection (5,000lbs) in this particular situation. The 1/2" sleeve anchor was torqued to spec, met embedment requirements, clean installation, and the shear load was shared with a massive root which I tested and inspected before using. I used to perform pull testing and special inspection of anchors in the construction industry. The 2"x20' web strapping is rated at 4,000lbs at 90°. Adding the load of both anchors met the requirements for me to proceed. I would've used another 2 anchors but there was no other competent rock to drill into.
