My sweat memories. Nostalgia of childhood. I was 10 at that time. I was excited. My father had told me about the world.cup. he was a sportsman. He told me all the stories about world cup and specially about great maradona. It all excited me before WC. but after the goal of cameron i was shocked. Again my father told me not to worry as there is still matches to go. I cried a lot when argentina was lost in final. I loved my father very much. I miss him today. And also maradona. My favourite footballer of all time.

Cameroon, placed African soccer in the spot light, and forced Fifa to add additional African teams. Fifa then recognized that Africans team can be competitive with the Europeans teams. Argentina players were worried about Cameroon after learning that most of Cameroon players played professionally in France. I was so happy to watch that game in which Cameroon played with 9 players and beat Argentina!!!!. Cameroon has always been competitive in the World Cup. 2022 Beating Brazil 1-0.

I can never forget this great match and famous win for Cameroon.

Yeh, I remember it was played by Cameron like a rugby game.

One of the dirtiest matches ever. Cameroon should finished the game with 7 players. The ref was either blind, stupid, or paid off.

We have never lost against Argentina, 2-2 in a friendly match before the 2002 world cup in Japan.

Nous avions quand même une grande équipe, Maradona avait compris que nous avions des gladiateurs. Hum, Makanaky avait failli faire quelque chose en première mi-temps hein. Défense très intéressante, les nouveaux lions doivent un peu guetter ça, les têtes argentines étaient clairement approximatives quand ce n'était pas chat noir qui gérait ça. Attaque tout aussi intéressante, nos nouveaux lions doivent voir qu'il y aura forcément des occasions pour mettre les ballons au fond.

This match was indeed an epic one in the FIFA World cup. Imagine an African team against the reigning world champions, Argentina which had the great Diego Maradona. The Cameroon team played real African football, full of energy and really hard tackles. Two Cameroonian players got the red card and still went ahead to humble the Argentina national team, that was a great feat beyond imagination. It was truly the golden age of African football. I can foresee an African team causing a major upset in Qatar 2022.

Alemania apenas venció 1x0 a Argentina con un penal inventado por el árbitro Argentina el mejor partido lo hizo ante Italia (el local y favorito) Pero el resto lo jugó mal. Muchos futbolistas en mal estado físico. Otros con lesiones, durante la copa muchos suspendidos... etc..

Pumpido, que arquero sobre valorado. Si no estaba el vasco goyco, nos eliminaba Brasil en octavos. En River plate también se mandaba cada cagada . Fue gol en contra en este partido...por más que el camerunés saltó 3 metros .

Exatamente nessa época, não havia time mais viril e que sabia bater com tanta vontade quanto essa seleção Argentina (Ruggeri, sensini e outros). mas essa seleção camaronesa superou os sul americanos, fazendo-os parecer um time comportado. Bateram tanto, de todos os jeitos e de forma tão desajeitada que beirava o cômico. O mundo todo que sempre torce para o time menos tradicional pouco se importou com Cláudio Caniggia se contorcendo de dor após ver sua arrancada interrompida por uma agressão absurda.

a primeira copa que acompanhei foi a de 90. De todas que vi essa foi disparada a pior de todas, nível técnico muito baixo. Esse jogo parecia uma pelada e da garganta p/ baixo era canela de tanta porrada dentro de campo. Os únicos times que tinham qualidade eram Alemanha, Holanda e Itália.
