Omg. As a single woman. It has been wild crossing paths with men who wants me to lead EVERYTHING! Conversations, date planning, the pace, the place, literally everything!!! I refuse to submit and lead a man!! I’m also experiencing the male perspective of women being a “helpmate” for a man’s stability!!! Like dude no, your stability is your individual responsibility, as well as my own. I’m not interested in raising my mate. I would rather he be emotionally, physically and financially stable, prior to the relationship. When I share my values, beliefs and perspectives on healthy, reciprocal relationships, I notice they’re being challenged, misunderstood and suppressed!! Omg I just ranted. 😅Thanks for this conversation. Pray for me! 😅

My historical relationships were not healthy. I gave too much of my self, changing to accommodate his needs, even if it led to my unhappiness. Most recently, I've been on a journey of healing and learning to prioritize my needs. I feel ready for "the one". This was a timely discussion, helping me to think about those conversations that need to be had early on, to ensure we both enjoy a fulfilling relationship. Thank you 💝

Sure, what I learned is one more green flag to put on my list of green flags , it is that subject of being considerate of the absoulute importance of transition times from from one part of life to another part of life . Two thumbs way up. This is why a man needs the nurturing nature of a good woman because without that , life is mostly ruff sailing .

In all these conversations, it sounds to me like the woman had to adjust for the man. I think that's kind of the life this lady wanted, to be led by her man. But is there a good relationship we can look up to where the woman didnt have to adjust or let go of her dream, of having children like for this lady for example, and instead both partners found a midpoint?
