Are you out of your mind? | David Allen | TEDxCuracao

Most people are trying to manage much of their life and work in their minds, but your head is a lousy office! Recent cognitive science research has proven its limitations for remembering, reminding, and prioritizing. In this humorous talk Allen emphasizes the need to keep track of any and every thing that we need to be reminded of in an "external brain," making room for more creativity, intuitive thinking, and just being present. David Allen is one of the world’s most influential thinkers on productivity. He has earned the titles of “personal productivity guru” by Fast Company Magazine and one of America’s top 5 executive coaches by Forbes Magazine. The American Management Association has ranked him in the top ten business leaders. His bestselling book ‘Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity’ has been published in thirty languages and its methodology has become a global phenomenon. David is dedicated to teaching people how to stay relaxed and productive in our fast paced world. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Probably one of the most down to earth guys to ever walk the earth. He is like a productivity genie, I wish this was taught in school. I know he has a program for schools, but I wish they had it when I was in school. Amazing stuff (no pun intended).

Stop using my head as my office. I need more room. I need to be present- it’s healthy. Relaxed focused and more in control. Write it down so I can stop thinking about it. Go back and decide what needs to be done now. Be present with my life . Love it!

David Allen discovered something, defined it, packaged it for the masses before the scientists really understood how the mind works in relation to this. Think about that. Great work, David!

" You don't need to finish Stuff to CLEAR your mind, your mind needs to trust that there is a place that it will see the right thing at the right time and lets go"!!! This is very important otherwise You will feel Lifelong unfinished in overwhelmed times of Internet.

? - "Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them" - ? Frig off; you're all out of your minds; do no harm because you expect others to not harm you; do no harm because innocent and helpless children become permanently harmed; fight as hard as you can from being harmed and help break the generational cycle of harm harming people every day, most especially young children. Fight as hard as you can, to become way more reasonable, and help find an unharmful way to stop people from harming people, including the majority denying that they are !!! You all or at least most of you must agree !!!
