I heard on 1st April George called Carl and turned the psychological screw on him for a bit of a laugh and had Froch glassy eyed and mumbling like he had 2 plums in his mouth.

Groves has 0 wins over Froch and got sent to the shadow realm in their 2nd fight 😂
This rivalry was class and gave me a lot of entertainment in and out of the ring.
Groves nearly delivered on his promise in the first fight. Carl absolutely delivered on his in the second. Groves still grew to be more than I thought he could.
'What's happening right now' always gets me as he holds back tears.

I love these fighters interactions with each other. It's always hilarious
Been looking for this for years. This ringside was incredible
can't believe this was 10 years ago lol, these Ringside episodes feel like yesterday 😅

When rivalry was actually rivalry. Boxing misses this massively.
Carl was holding the anger in very well 💯
This 2 fights truly revitalised British boxing at the time
I'm crying at this!
Nice to see they are good friends now.
just so so good
I can remember this like yesterday, so much anticipation and will they, won't they about 2 men genuinely believing they were going to be the victor.
The mind games groves played during the build up were best iv ever seen I think he'd got froch believing he couldn't win but his toughness & experience got him through the 1st 6 rounds then physically took over 7.8.9 great fight ! Then came the rematch when he couldn't live with froch with the mind games
This was brilliant, credit to them both they’re now mates. The he’s going to cry comment was comedy gold

Like both these guys😊 Now their best of friends 😂Bro love❤
Damn time flies
Boxing is psychological as much as it is physical and Groves absolutely *owned* Froch in the build-up to both fights. The way he did it was majestic. At the time it felt like the ginger kid in the schoolyard standing up to the bully and making him cry. Froch was a human highlight reel, the most consistently exciting fighter to watch, but the way George unravelled him psychologically was something to behold.

Total nonsense, Groves got him in the build up to the first but the second Groves got owned especially when Froch nearly dislocated his shoulder having a bit of a push and pull abart.
@Eat-MyGoal

Still lost, though. Twice. By stoppage - and he was getting stopped even if Foster hadn't jumped in and saved from being totally poleaxed. You overstate the significance of mind games. Yes., they play a part but not as big a part as that time when they're wearing gloves and hitting each other. That part is sorta more important, I feel...
@jayevonnwilliams3714
6 ай бұрын
Overstated??? Mentally George had him in his palm in this interview especially, n if u don’t think that had a big part in why 1) it brought in A AVALANCHE OF WORLDWIDE VIEWERS WHO (a lot) DIDNT LIKE FROCH n ALOT DIDNT KNOW GROVES, 2) FROCH visited a psychologist in prep for 2nd fight which he was forced into by big Rob Mc, cozve the way the world saw how his head was frazzled!
@Andy-uw9cg

Build up to the second definitely went Carl's way , George looked daft to be honest .. and then he fell on his own leg 🦵 infront of 80.000 at Wembley
Good Times.
Eddie putting George in the recovery position 🤣🤣🤣
I mean Groves played a blinder here. Still got stopped. Twice. Won the mind games, lost the fights. But a great dude and I am happy he finally got hold of a world title belt...
The last sentence of the video though, "is that a trick or treat", adrenaline is a helluva drug 😂
A shy eddie hearn 😂 the world really has changed 😂
Eddie was loving this, never heard the geezer so quiet
This ringside was amazing still is
He who laughs last laughs loudest. Froch certainly had the last laugh😂

Haha George was such an excellent troll. Wind up merchant, I swear Carl was tryin to keep it together lmao
Really hilarious in hindsight watching this, Froch behaving like a total professional and groves acting like at little sh!t, and karma it him hard 🤣

George Doesn't look like a boxer, he looks a bank manager at barclays
From this to AJ: ‘be humble’
Thank God for Misfits Boxing 😂
Makes me laugh to this day that people think Froch wanted to cry.. He was fed up with Groves nonsense and just wanted to wait till the fight. Showed in the two fights who were the better fighters. Was like the mandela effect. Someone says something that didn't happen, but people believe it to be true.
It’s great that they are now good mates 👌
This was Epic !! Groves had Froch ready to crack here ! Where's Adam vanished too ??

A few observations; 1) Carl did look completely rattled here and actually did look like he was about to cry!!🤣🤣 2) Eddie is clearly so nervous and inexperienced here. Look at his body language (quiet, no facial expression, holding his own hand out of anxiety. 3) they all look so young, particularly Eddie without his beard and grey hair!
