Are You Capable of Riding a Green Horse (Part 2)
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Ken and Dee Dee continue to work together to answer the question, "Are you capable of riding a green horse?"
DeeDee is still a little unsure. Ken still believes if you have a purpose and a plan, and you have experience riding broke horses, you are more than capable.
Tips for Continuing on to the Second Ride:
- Do a simple review of what was learned in the first session. You can move through quickly, but make sure there aren't issues along the way. If the horse remembers, there's no need to drill, just move on.
- Start asking for more movement. When you ask for the head to soften, make sure the feet follow before you release.
- Have a plan for different scenarios in your mind before they actually happen.
- When starting to ask for a trot, also practice shutting it down. You can turn the horse's head toward the wall if she does not respond to your stop cue. Shutting the trot down will build your confidence.
Until next time, may God bless the trails you ride!

I think having a knowledgeable horse person with you also lends to a confidence builder.
Oh my gosh!!!! This is my favorite series!!!!! I love the way your wife seems so honest and even if her nervousness wasn’t real it helped me not feel so silly. I love these 3 videos. Love love love. So many videos have Uber confident riders. This was very helpful!
Thank you! Key take away is having a plan, spend the right amount of time and trust your gut!
Thank you so much for these videos! I'm watching from Bosnia and Herzegovina (a small country in south Eastern Europe) and taking in every tip you have, you are very good at explaining. My husband and I bought our first horse, we have never ridden horse before and really never been really around horses, no one in our family has horse. He is in horse club near our house, but sadly, that horse club only does English riding and we like western horsemanship, so we watch your videos and a couple of more people, and try to apply all of that to our young horse. Safety is our priority so we are taking it real slow, but we see a lot of progress in the horse! Thank you again and I'm looking forward to this journey 😊
Great job 👏 Thank you
I love watching you two,. These videos are so good. Glad I found your channel. Dee Dee's very brave.
Great job Dee,Hess are great videos ❤️
Enjoy your videos I can see you work well with your wife and have mutual respect for each other
My favorite team and trainers. I would love to take lessons and learn from the best. I'm in Ohio, so sadly I am just too far away but I do watch every video and my goodness I have learned so so much from both of you. Thanks Mr. McNabb and Mrs. McNabb your videos are not only very educational but I love the team work and the presence of family and God in all your amazing videos. Thank you to both of you for your continued interest in helping each one of us discover the horseman/horsewoman within. By the way your camera person does an AMAZING job. My hat goes off to all of you and thanks for helping me and my horse to be the best we can be. God bless everyone, and happy new year and may the good Lord bless each trail you all ride as well . I am thinking of leasing a horse. I have never met not riden this horse. The owner is asking me to take a lesson on this horse. But are these techniques techniques better to get familiar to each other than me just getting on and riding?
