Can you ask the question: "If Putin announced that the war with Ukraine must end and Russia should pull its troops out of Ukraine, would you support another candidate in the next presidential elections who supported continuing the war and keeping all the territory its annexed?" Or "Would you support the war to continue even if Putin announced that it was in Russia's best interest to seek peace with Ukraine and make concessions, such as giving some or all of the territory back to Ukraine or allowing Ukraine to join NATO?" I'm really curious about whether the Russians who say they support the war would continue to do so even if Putin and the government were now against it?

I am curious about something as I'm a person with no connections to neither Ukraine nor Russia. Do russians or ukraineans even know why this war is even taking place? Some people in your videos seem to think the war was "necessary", but what for? What's the historic reason behind this? Even if it's used as a facade. My country, Romania, has lots of lost territories that are now part of Ukraine, Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia and the entirety of Moldova which was once fully Romanian territory, but that doesn't make us think of warmongering the neighbouring nations. Even with the propaganda and the brainwashing, what excuse could be justifiable enough to be thinking positively of war, especially when there is a precedent that brought nothing good (USSR)?

@TFactory The Nazis only had 33% of the votes. When Hitler became Richkansler it was to late. In the beginning he gave people hope with the changes in the economy and the German people acted as the Russians do today and slowly but surely Germany turned into a police state. That’s why we in the West who know how the history and that nothing will stop Putin but force is supporting Ukraine and will do that until the war is over and Putin is gone. We will hold our politicians responsible to uphold that support or we will replace those politicians very quickly. This is a question of the survival of democracy and a very simple one to answer - better suffer a little today and support Ukraine then to let Russia have its way and suffer much more tomorrow! The real suffering is what the Ukrainians are going thru and my heart bleed every day for them and I wish I was 20 years younger so I could take up arms and fight alongside them. Now I support them what I can and hope to do more when the war is over and they need help to rebuild their country! Slava Ukraini! Heroyam Slava! 🇺🇦

Not all the pro-war citizens actually watch TV or even support Putin's regime. It's a complex geopolitical and culturological question, as many Russians still have an imperialist mindset because Russia in any forms has been an empire since, probably, Ivan the Great (officially since Peter the Great). And such things as banning of Russian language for native speakers ant total Ukrainization of the territories that had been Russian for centuries leads to a major resentment.

The majority of the population spoke Ukrainian here for centuries. What was really going on, is neverending attempts of russification. Destroying educated people and artists. there is no logical problem in answering the question. it's a dodge based on the phrase "brainwash" which kind of implies a complete unwilling reprogram of the mind. It's obvious what the question really means - do you accept whatever state media tells you? Many people immediately understood the real meaning and started talking about state media before being prompted or a couple just parrotted what they'd heard on it as a way of saying 'yes' without the connotation of 'brainwashed'.

What I love most about this channel is your interviewers ALWAYS ask follow-up questions. This is vitally important to better understand the interviewee’s thoughts. So very few ask follow-up questions but you guys do it all the time. Your videos are remarkable!

Imagine if he said "I'm an American/Egyptian/Australian but I really enjoy your channel", that probably would look less weird to you. (Full disclosure, I had to do a double take as well because I live in the US and this does read different looking from this side of the pond)

I like very much that you tell the people you talk to, 'Thank you'. This has not always been done on this channel. I love the older ladies and their sense of humor and telling it like they see it. Part of my liking is that I heard what I wanted to hear, and not some of what has been said before. But also, they seemed much more willing to talk. Well done video!

2 interesting moments: 1. Nobody denied that whatever shown on their TV is propaganda. Whether they trust it or not. 2. Almost everybody convinced they aren't brainwashed. Except that one woman that cleverly replied that she wouldn't know.

Bro some of these interviews trigger my fight or flight response idk how to explain it. I simultaneously get angry, second hand embarrassment, I'm amused, I'm sad, I cringe, I hyperventilate and I verbally cuss even tho no one's there to hear me... these videos make me feel emotions I didn't know where even possible

@@dc5269 OH, I know, but you get used to it eventually. And you gotta admit, as far as idiots go, some of those are pretty far gone. And I'm not saying they can't voice their opinion, I'm saying their opinions are a sad result of years of brainwashing. I meet those kinds every day, and I know it's useless to argue, since they don't rely on logic. Best you can say is "OK" and move along. But if you don't feel any kind of indignation or resentment when you listen to lies or propaganda, that's when you know you're dead inside. Like, we're the same species, and you're dumber than a log, so that insults ME.

I'm glad that you are interviewing more of the older people - they have a very different take, having lived through a lot more than the younger people. As an aside, the more I watch of these videos, the more I am surprised at the huge number of people that smoke, and how many of them wear U. S. branded clothing.

How can a brainwashed person know if he/she is brainwashed? On the other hand giving doubt if theirselves are brainwashed or not, makes this episode question good reflection on peoples brainactivity.

Actually it was an intelligent response to avoid an arguement and make him go away without being unfriendly and seeming like a bad person. Being brainwashed doesn´t have to do with intelligence; she still can understand the topic of thr discussion and understand where it is leading to (anti-russian/anti war) and she knows she has an opinion that is different than most young people have, and she sees young people asking her questions and filming her. She gave an answer with humor to avoid a confrontation because she knows most people can be fooled with a little humor and an untrue fact/statement, and they will stop asking her questions; . But she couldn´t be more wrong by saying How can a brainwashed person adequately answer this. And you´re not the only person she fooled, look at all the others who make the same comment you made. Sadly, today most people do not really listen closely and think about what was just said and why it was said, they just take everything word by word because it is easier that way. It has nothing to do with someone being stupid, it has more to do with people being lazy.

@@north2green Thanks for answering my statement, and by that I really felt my statement was correct since Im asking my self the same question from time to time getting pumped from YT and the newspapers. - I remember when I was younger I played alot on my computer, and specially MMO games. I remember when observing the russians, and this is in general, they appeared to attack a target with weak random armor, and equal lousy weapons, going dead-on either to by chance win, or more likely to lose, so back then I asked my mother about why russian players do things in this manner. She used one second to find the reply, and that reply should be framed in and put on a wall: "This is what communism does to people." Have a great day! :D

Yeah russians are smart, but they are not able to produce computers or anything, which is more complicated than a hammer. The only thing they can produce is wheapons, to kill other nations, and ever for this purpose they had to steal the technology and design!
