Staring at the wall is literally my specialty. That is how I solve problems, or find where the problem is that needs solving. My co-workers know if they talk to me and I don't respond, I don't hate them, I'm just thinking. Though new people get confused.

This is me too. Got all my promotions by identifying and solving the real problem. Got flak for a long time for not “doing anything”. OH, SORRY THAT I WAS THINKING, lol. Ended up being much more productive than people who did a lot of activity with no plan.

@@JGComments lol, my boss counts his productivity by how many steps a day he makes. Mind you he is a branch manager. But he is scared of any kind of confrontation, so he flees right away. And when someone asks him for help, he also takes off for a lap around the building. I told him once, that maybe he should stop running around and instead sit down and get some job done.
