Sir Thomas khongsai good points. I want editor hemanta to know that before the British came to Northeast India The Hill Area of the then Manipur wasn't administered by the maharaja of Manipur, to be very clear the hill wasn't a subject of the meitei maharaja. The division in ethnic lines in Manipur isn't a new thing in today's era, all developments, infrastructure and funds are confined only in the valley dist. Yet they claimed that hill area has been administered equally, haven't they visited hill area even once? Is there any good roads? Is there any good education sector and hospitals? Even the meitei maharaja claimed that There isn't Anglo-Kuki War 1917-1919 and the claimed Nagas of Manipur and meitei always stated that Kuki's are refugee, I just wanna make it clear that the assam rifle isn't the oldest paramilitary force of India. Infact, there was a Kuki Levy back in 1840 and Assam rife came into existence only from 1862 onwards. During 1917-1919 there was a wicked meitei guy who try to overthrow his maharaja and that has nothing to do with Anglo-Kuki War. The Meitei Maharaja in the valley and the Kuki chief in the hills have mutual respect for each other and dwell within their own kingdom

@@meikhux He was an opportunist who took advantage of Kuki's fight against the Britishers using a section of Kukis in Dampi area and attacked Ithai Post..the rest of the Kuki Chiefs like Chassad(Ukhrul),Laijang(Tamenglong),Kanjang(Nagaland) ,etc had no freakin idea who he was and it would be foolish to say he led the movement....

Theres no such thing as kuki during those time. It was churachand maharaj who gave refuge to some victims of tangkhul genocide at Churachandpur which was a meitei dominated area at the time out of sympathy. And now this so called immigrants who are not at all related to the ancestral history of the Manipur is demanding a land for themselves

Why not english or local language not your own community languages.

When problem arise chingmi tami amatani,manipur kaiba yaroi etc..but after sometime the hypocrisy begins again...

How can they say it's "Manipur ancestors land and freedom" while manipuri has their own war calling 'khongjom war' and not manipur war ....no manipuri participate in Anglo kuki war... All the while, till today we are trying to bring together based on history but history has always been written by the winners. We should never forget this. History is also not sufficient to be fair to everyone. We shouldn’t blame or brand people based on their ancestors. No one had a choice when they were born. What we all can do it to make it a better place for our children. The only way forward is integration. The biggest integrator is economics. We should build an economy that’s deeply integrated between the hills and the valley. A healthy economy that’s powered by the locals can only bring glory and justice to our needs and dreams. At the moment we are using our disadvantages to create a sad story for someone to drop down some alms.

When nscn(im) terrorist attacked your brothern kuki's; brutally killed thousands of innocent people youngs & old. If it was your land why our meitei brothers were silent! When our enemy naga told that the hill areas belongs to them! Why u were silent? We the KUKIS lost thousands of life ;370 villages were burnt ;more than two hundred thousands Kukis were left homeless! Where were you at that time! In this era of globalisation and concept of global village, Manipur is burning due to animosity between ethinic groups. In near future, many MNCs just come and occupied the land you people are fighting for. And the question why tribal people in hill area can not think Meitei people as their own brother is concerned, the root causes are centuries of oppression and discrimination by Meitei people and underestimate the tribes. We Meitei, should first accept our misdeed and try to connect with hill people not by agreement but by hearts.
