Two things about this: 1) when Bayonettas stand together, we see down their gun barrels. Bayo from 1 has 2 barrels, Bayo from 2 has one barrel and our brave cereza has 3. It's the indication that in gameplay 2, Balder absorbs the dark energy and becomes evil, then returns to the timeline of bayonetta 1 (2 barrels) where he uses brave Cereza to awaken Bayos memories. And then finally comes game 3. The barrels tell the story in chronologically effective order. 2) when Bayo 1 appears, she pokes Bayo 3 in the head with the hilt of her gun, like she did with little brave Cereza upon their first encounter and even says "you weren't crying while I was gone" which confirms, the little cereza became Bayo 3 directly .

The biggest plot hole for me is why the hell they nerf my girl Jeanne like this lol

It's really funny that Jeanne died from a fatal stab wound in the chest, yet both Bayonetta and Viola gets the same injury and survive. The bias is apparent lol. Jeanne is the Vegeta of the series. She always take L's.

Yes, I agree completely and kind feel disappointed PG pulled deus ex machina shit that fans such as Rakunx try to make sense of.

I always believed that Alraune was the contracted demon of Jeanne beta1 before she died. Indeed she's found in the phenomenal remnant in the alternate shibuya. So at the moment her contracted witch died, she went on rampage. An echo of memory also indicates that jeanne beta1 and bayo beta1 had a deep relation of rivalry and competition. It would be a nice reference to Alraune's portrayal in bayo 2 and how she hates madama butterfly.

It would have been very in character for Rodin to have stepped in to punch Singularity's lights out to save what few worlds remained, as he does have some investment in the world of humans. . . But perhaps he didn't because he wouldn't have been able to do what Cereza did and restore the entire multiverse. So instead of intervening, he simply supported Cereza in her mission. Also he technically gets to keep an infinite - 1 amount of his clientele so he wins on the business side too lol.

In the description for Yagyu the hammer Jeanne wields in Bayonetta2 it states Rodin used it save a planet quote "True to its name, which means 'wild bull', this enormous hammer houses a charm by the raging bull god Gozu. Some time ago, Rodin used this hammer during a fight to save a certain planet in crisis."

I have a theory that Faeries may be the Chaos Realm counterpart of Angels and Demons, and maybe Twilight Magic is the natural magic of the Chaos Realm? I've seen it suggested that Sigurd used the same magic nullification field he had in his base in the moment he attacked Jeanne which is why her Witch Time didn't activate. Re: Loki, if Finbulventir was being attacked, this might be supported by the description for the Angel fights which mentions Inferno and Paradiso being sealed off - we know the true Gates to Hell and Paradiso are located there afterall.

@@picklesbruh I just had another thought: Cereza is the daughter of an Umbran Witch and a Lumen Sage. Luka seemingly has some connection to Faeries potentially, Lukaon certainly did but if Luka does too that means Viola has inherited bloodlines of Umbra, Lumen AND... Twilight Humans? I dunno. Lukaon suggests there's something like Umbra and Lumen for Faeries.

PlatinumGames needs to involve Rodin and Enzo more in the story plot. It’s quite pointless to have Bayonetta with them all the time but they’re absent majority of the game besides the beginning.

OK HEAR ME OUT CAUSE THIS SOUNDS REALLY CRAZY So, Twilight is the boundary between day and night, a time where the Sun and Moon are closest. Sun represents the Lumen Sages and Moon represents Umbra Witches, that's their symbol. You know who else represents a time where the Sun(Lumen Sage) and Moon(Umbra Witch) was closest? Bayonetta. She's the daughter of both clans, and her blood is "impure"(according to the Umbran Elder in Bayo1), but what if this was more than just a throwaway line referencing traditionalism? What if Bayo was also a proponent of Twilight Magic, as in a weird mishmash of both forms of magic, and could in fact impart it onto Viola? This is a big if, and it also implies Luka has latent ties to Umbran and Lumen bloodlines combined, but hey this is the kind of crackpot theories this channel thrives on, so I'm throwing my two cents in.

Jeanne died the same way all the other world Bayonettas died: She didn't see a fatal attack coming. Like seriously all witches die due to a sneak attack that they didn't see coming, which makes sense cause Bayonetta can dodge basically anything as long as she is aware of it. Jeanne however trusted Sigurd and ler her guard down.

Personal theory is that the Bayonetta 2 from the final chapter is from the Records of Time from Bayonetta 2 and the Bayonetta in the Bayonettta 1 outfit is the Bayonetta we play through in the first two games main stories. It’s just that the events of Bayonetta 3 happened in between the first and second games

Sigurdularity has a base that stopped Jeanne from summoning her demons. He probably just focused whatever technology he used in his base into a blade instead if a massive forcefield.

For the Jeanne bit there's also the reason that she didn't consider Sigurd an enemy but an ally, which had her keep her guard down around him.

It’s so obvious that Sigurd is Lopter, same colored eyes, skin color, accent and his clone he shoots out to attacks has the same animations as Asier. And isn’t Sheeva stronger than any heart summon Brave Cereza can do?

Yes she is stronger she’s queen of the inferno but Sigurd is a robot not aesir and aesir is trapped in Ablauf from bayonetta and 2 and is stuck looping in whatever timeline he is in.

I think Rodin just couldn't interfere, in a way like gammorah didn't devour the giant homunculi, since for what i understand, demons "could only vs angels", so bayo had to use demon slave to destroy the homunculi not eat them

one small thing that bothers me about this game, but it may be a clue about what's going on in the multiverse, is the summoning words changing for some demons. That bothers me most with Madama Butterfly. no more iconic "PDE BAAAAARMA"

There is only 1 Aesir, the Eyes of the World can sense all the multiverse. And as for Jeanne, I think he killed her that easy because she trusted him and did not expect his betrayal, also he was on a blind spot of hers.

Makes no sense though since the first thing she does is literally shoot at Viola. She's all like: I don't trust her to, I trust him way too fast. Either way, its just rushed story tho. The game could easily have told a better consistent story if they had done 25 chapters, or, if they have given us more PLOT during cutscenes, a thing they do not. Most Cutscenes in Bayo3 is fighting. Or story that does not add to the main plot.

@@advmx3 She shot at Viola as a means to test her… do you really think she just planned on killing her right there and then for no reason? Like what? She clearly understood she wasn’t a regular human, and so Viola slicing Jeanne’s bullets was a kind of way of proving her strength and combat prowess, it wasn’t supposed to be a gesture of hostility as if it were she would’ve followed up with another attack, which she does not.

Since angels and demons don't really die but go back to Paradiso and inferno while regenerating, so Alraune might not have variants and just has recovered

please hear me out what if cereza got reincarnated as an infernal demon after she died it would make sense being that madama butterfly was once human and died being sent to inferno and being reincarnated as a demon so in viola’s picture in the bar could be cereza contracted to her daughter it would also make sense because viola is an umbra witch and already has a contract (cheshire) and in order for viola to be the best witch like her mother she would trade her soul so brave cereza can continue to teach viola everything she knows being that she’s the most powerful bayonetta from studying the forbidden umbran magic one of them being deadly sin (when she ripped out her heart and summoned the infernal demons most powerful form) and studying demon slave which was long forgotten and if my theory is right i’m hoping her demon name is “cerezita the umbran hell”

I don't know if yhis could make sens but I think that the bayonetta who died in the begining and who is (maybe) the mother of viola is the bayonetta of the movie bloody fate It could explain why she still have her 2 ribbon's since we know she maybe have experience the event of bayo 1 Anyway i don't know if i make it clear but this could explain so much for this bayo anyway 😅 "All right let's dance baby!!"

Im sure no one ever expected B3 story to be this clusterfuck xD I love the game. But good story telling? Nah, Kamiya probably smoke the same things Nomura and Yoko Taro usually do while writing this plot. xD

i think its pretty obvious that they meant to kills every old character, in Bayonetta (Viola) 4 we will not have luka, Bayonetta (Cereza) or Jeanne. (we even saw Rosa dying again). So i dont think we see them again soon.

@@SoMiSongbird Viola is alternative version of bayonetta 3 that leads to event of bayonetta 2. I think. Platinum games learned from dmc 3 or 2. The next game was the true next generation.

They should have been more careful with the multiverse concept. Like, if they decided that Paradiso and Inferno are 4D realities, that's all well and good, but if the Human World is made up of many 3D universes, then angels and demons should have been able to split when entering the Human World. Conversely, human souls that are counterparts to one another that end up in either Paradiso or Inferno should merge back together since they are no longer subjected to the splitting effect of the Human World. To make angels and demons special, they could have made them be fully aware and in control of their alternate selves as well as have them not suffer from reduction in power, unlike humans. However, this is just me trying to apply logic and cohesion to this concept. What they chose was extremely limiting and prone to contradiction and nonsense.

Maybe there is only one Aesir? Thus one Loki? Just thinking, could be wrong

A few things about Bayonetta 3 that I wanted to know. 1. Why was Jeanne nerfed so much like she just seems so much weaker in this game compared to the other ones. We also barely saw her in game except for the Sigurd side missions as well as the phenomenal remnants. 2. We got more development into Luka and his story, but not enough to make sense. All we’ve been told is he’s not entirely human and has some form of power inside him, I think twilight or something. But they never followed it up and just sort of let it fall off. 3. I’m pretty sure the Bayonetta’s from all 3 games are different. Well I’d say that Bayonetta 1 and 2’s Bayo are the same, just at different stages in time, and Bayonetta 3 Bayo (or as I call her Genesis Bayonetta, since that’s her title in game) is the young Cereza we saved in Bayonetta 1, but tbh that’s pretty obvious looking at her hairstyle, and when she gets turned into a kid she’s the exact same as young Cereza just a bit older.

I wouldn't say that Bayo3 getting turned into a kid looking like a slightly older young Cereza is much evidence. Since in bayo 1 and 2 when Bayonetta gets turned into a kid they both look the exact same as young cereza too, just wearing black instead of pink and wearing the umbran watch around their neck tied with a ribbon

I’m thinking it’s the twilight people people who taught the Umbran witches and lumen sages how to do magic so there would be influences the lumen sages took the diamonds while umbran witches took the flowy bits

imo they're all not the same person as in they have had different lives, hence different personalities. If twins grew far appart from each other, they'd not be the same person

I have a pair of (probably stoopid) questions: ¿is there a difference between a timeline and a universe or they are the same? ¿How did this Cereza met Luka if she wasn't sealed for 500 years in a lake like 'our' Bayonetta? My brain is in pain :D

Universe and timeline is kinda the same thing and can be used interchangeably. However, I also think there’s differences, I just have a hard time explaining it. As for Brave Cereza meeting Luka, she probably didn’t have to be trapped in a lake to meet Luka since they were bound to meet one way or another.

@@AngelArcher17 That's something I saw in some fictions. If something happens in one universe, this will happen to the other universes, but in a different way. We know that Luka existed in the China universe, since we know Chinese Bayonetta met him and loved him

If Bloody Fate and Bayonetta 2 are different timelines with similar lines… wouldn’t it mean there’s 2 other “Brave” Cerezas

I appreciate what you're doing but you're grasping at straws because the plot of Bayo 3 is so full of massive holes that you can practically theorize anything and it will fit. They just didn't bother telling s compelling or complete story
