God sent prophets to every people, initially. Then he choose Abraham purely on merit, for he passed every test. He then dedicated the progeny of Abraham for prophetic role (Prophet, Messenger), and gave them land: Canaan for Jews (1400 BCE), and Arabian peninsula for Muslims (629 CE). But after Jews failed to follow Jesus, they were punished severely and no more prophets came from their lineage

Being the “Chosen People / Nation” was a stipulation contingent upon being a “Righteous People”, which is the rest of this partially neglected verse in the Torah, that was part of the Hebrews (as they were called then) “Covenant with Yahweh”.

The question that should be asked is: Chosen to do what exactly? Jews were chosen to uphold God's religion. Jews failed to do that, disappointed Allah (swt) and were hence punished by Allah (swt). There is a recent video of Nouman Ali Khan regarding this.

And We warned the Children of Israel in the Scripture, “You will certainly cause corruption in the land twice, and you will become extremely arrogant.When the first of the two warnings would come to pass, We would send against you some of Our servants of great might, who would ravage your homes. This would be a warning fulfilled.

Right now I believe the people of Palestine must be God's chosen people. He has chosen them to be the beacon of light and iman in the darkness! Their faith and strength has awed us all and helped thousands revert to Islam. May Allah swt bless them all with jannah ameen.

Your last sentence cant be stressed enough. I always find it weird the idea that God prefer certain race just for their race when He Himself is the maker of every race... Like, God can just create any of them so why would He choose a certain group based on something that only Him has a say in it? Surely choosing human based on something that human can have a say makes much more sense?

Considering that no life has been discovered on any other planet or system in the universe , to date, it should be concluded that ALL sentient beings on Earth are "God's Chosen" and people should be very subdued and awed with the infinite impossibility of life in abundance that exists on this planet and consider that all beings are somewhat "chosen" by some "God" and stop fighting over this differentiation and competition as we are all extremely lucky to have a form and being on this precious planet. My understanding is that the idea of "chose people" means Allah chose them to convey his message of righteousness to the rest of humanity but the Israelites did the opposite. However, the Jews today have this idea that God chose them because they are a special and superiour race and the others are worthless people and they call them Gentiles. God's "chosen people" are those who placed all their faith in Him for their salvation. Most often in the Bible, that was the people of Israel, but not always. The common denominator was their faith.

Two much importance is given to Qibla and Night's Journey which is NOT supported by the scripture. Night's journey was a vision (Quran 17:6 0). Qibla change was a test (Quran 2:14 3). Moses and Aaron asked their people to use their own houses as Qibla (Quran 10:8 7). Becca (old name of Mecca) was the first Masjid (Quran 3:9 6). To pray together, it is necessary to pray in the same direction. That's all there is to it (Quran 2:17 7)

You cannot say the all Jews are now chosen for Hellfire. There are many good Jews like many people all over the world. And there are many bad Jews like there are many bad people all over the world. But the Jews that broke the Covenants and all others who do wrong condemn themselves to Hellfire. It is a tragedy that the Zionists are Jews. The Jews were Gods chosen people by virtue of having prophets in the lineage and 3 holy books (Torah, Zaboor, and Injeel). Therefore, the Jews simply had to worship God alone without any partners and adhere to the upright moral codes of each holy book (before the Quran was revealed). However, due to certain Jewish groups sometimes falling into shirk (in their history), certain groups not correctly adhereing to their moral code, rejecting the Injeel (prophet Isa) they have lost the status of being Gods chosen people. To add to that, they have now rejected the prophet Mohammed and the Quran.. However, they have the chance of God accepting them back as his chosen people. This can be done by joining the ummah of Prophet Mohammed. Following Prophet Muhammad (his Sunnah and accepting Isa) while also accepting and following the Quran. So, being a Jew without accepting Islam and following it means, this individual Jew is not upholding the covenant they had with God. Israel belongs to Gods chosen people which is not the Jews anymore due to them breaking their covenant with God.

Israelis, although chosen, were only favored as long as they honored their part of the covenant. They did not. Now, like Sarah, who did not patiently wait for Allah to fulfill His promise. The very term chosen is up for Interpretation but this is never taken up in discussions. In the bit of reading I have done of the Tora I propose that the Jews are chosen in order to hylight the general failings of mankind in general.

Had this question been asked in the PAST TENSE, the answer would have been an unequivocal YES. In present tense though, we find the answer to the question in the Quran as referenced below. "Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures". Surah 98 Verse 6 - Saheeh International
