Are the food prices & quality in Johor Bahru still affordable & good?
Hi, Hello, apa khabar semua,
Sometimes, we just need to take a step back from our daily worklife, and enjoy some nice family time , we all need that. So yup, JB often offers a short gateaway, good food, affordable accomodations, and family friendly activities.
We kinda miss the food as well, as a family so we decided to head out to this place, CedarPoint Food Court which is a 5 minute walk from the KSL City Mall. Join and see what type of nice local food we can find this time round.
Just to take the time, for a short intro about myself, I'm JT and welcome to my channel. This channel is about travel, culture, food & family fun. Currently most of the travels would be in Malaysia( mainly in Johor Bahru)& sometimes in Singapore as well but I will be covering the various and different states every now and then. And as for food, I am a foodie so basically as long there is tasty food, good spots or hidden places, I will try my best to cover them for you guys.

Prices has increased over years, no doubt JB is a city but still affordable.

Depends on where you go, if you go those off-beaten places, still affordable. But if you go places where Singaporeran always go, businesses tend to jack up their prices.

Well, the jam is much heavier since the borders reopened.
Overall ,compare to the past, JB is no longer a sleeping town, but still a good value for money place for Singaporeans. Only hope the RTS would be ready sooner. Cheers bro

Well, RTS might take a while... for now, we just to make the best we can. They have been improvements to the CIQ. The Chief Minister of Johor has been there , reporting and spot-check frequently for weeks now.

I think I know which stall you are referring. Yup, good place for family meals.
Cedar Point. It has been ages, and the grilled fish looks yummy. You sure know all the good spots for food.

This place has been here for many years as well of the stalls owners. OK i have a soft spot for old things .. haha!

Try to avoid that stall （友福）serving the sugar cane, last time the male boss asking for RM 18 from my Singaporean friend for the Large size sugar cane. It is exactly the same size as he is having 2months ago.
No the price of jb are not expensive, but very very expensive, cas the shops are thinking, nevermind you don't come, I got Singaporean customers. Where is the relevant ministry to check on profiteering?.

Well, JB is closest city to Singapore... So can't be helped..... and with the exchange rate between RM & SGD.. we just have to deal with this... Still, thanks for watching ..Cheers mate
