Charlie, you've got to find a way to keep Bernie here on KZread. Since I don't live in St Louis (Cardinal fan expat living in Asia), the clips from KZread are a blessing for me as a Bernie junkie. Love Bernie’s earthquake story. People are just people. Be kind. Always. Have fun out there. Don’t allow criminals to control the narrative and lead you around by the nose. We are family. The machine. Not so much.

Bernie is awesome.

That team had Tony LsRussa, Dave Duncan, Jim Edmonds, Albert Pujols, Chris Carpenter in his prime (a true number 1)and a young Adam Wainwright. The only similarity between the 2006 team and the 2024 team is the name on the uniform.

No, they are not ! Not even close. And the worst part is , we're anchored down by Arenado's contract through 2027. Sonny Gray is an Ace in most rotations. But he's a number 2 on 5 or 6 teams. If we refuse to eat about 50mil and find a taker for Arenado, then we're stuck in a rut until 2028 , provided Chaim Bloom has taken over and we're getting better. Unfortunately, the Arenado signing is so bad , only way to dump is to package him up in a deal that awards the team that takes him , because of who accompanies him in the deal. I'd rather they eat the 50 mil it'll take to send him on his flailing way.

I liked Bernie's San Francisco story.

How long are they gonna stay with Gorman?

They need to put Arenado on the 15 IL, so we can use others at third, even Prieto or Suggesse audition. Donovan can play third if.Nootbar or Walker comes back while Arenado mends. Gorman needs to be at AAA more than Walker. We need a player that gets on base more than Gorman is at this time. A trade with the A's or White Sox could help everyone if Mozaliak would pick who is long term and who would be better served traded.

I don't think so they had a good run for a bit but I dont think they will show up when they need to fire oli

They are a .500 team at best. After a good 6 week run we are seeing a regression to normal.

Me wondering how many of the 162 games are controlled by “sports entertainment.” Always when I think the games are going to go in one direction, they go in another. Thinking “business” plays waaay too much into professional sports. I have no idea which direction this team will go. Thinking it could go waaay up, and equally waaaay down. Hoping Masyn isn’t hurt. Seems to have hit a wall. And yea, hoping Bernie finds a different platform. We need it. Indeed. Their best stretch came without Lars and Wilson. 🤔 “They’re one injury away from this thing blowing up.” This is a glaring indictment. We need more depth and talent. Offense is showing glaring weaknesses. The Gorman disaster is weighing us down. How much time do you give the guy? Till he hits .160? Hoping he can figure it out. We need him, as there seems to be nobody to fill his shoes. “Too smart, too talented.” Jordan’s still not ready. Not close. Took Judge a long time as well. Overall feeling of the team; meh, and that’s disappointing. Hoping they can pull out of it. Last thought on Gorman. Guy needs to drive every pitch he swings at. What I would like to see is him driving through the ball wherever it’s pitched. Smash it waaay foul to left. Smash it to left, center, right. See the pitch and drive through it, wherever it is. No agenda. Simply see the ball and obliterate it where it’s pitched. No agenda. Sadly, Bernie’s prediction for today was wrong.

I see another legit starter.. and 2 more kittridge/romero like arms.. high leverage.. only guy imo that should be added they won’t add is Mike Trout as I believe his presence will bring the most out of everyone including Goldie and Nado.. he’s the vet leader and the man to put fear into pitchers this team needs
