Are Subaru Bumper Cuts A Good Idea? Probably Maybe Not.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

If you're thinking about cutting your Subaru's front bumper for extra clearance, there are some great benefits. But there's also some downsides to be ready for if you decide to move forward with it!

Dropping lots of wisdom man! So many people somehow think they’re smarter than trained engineers. Granted sometimes the engineers do make mistakes in design but that’s definitely the exception

Appreciate it brotha! Yeah as much as I hate engineers sometimes, they're usually on point😅

I have the 98-11 ranger bumper swap on my SG6. You can use the SG5 washer tank to stay factory fresh.

Nice!! How much does that bumper weigh? I haven't looked at them in awhile. Good call on the washer reservoir. Was it hard to get everything routed up to the strut tower area for it?

@@LiftedImports7 Not sure on the weight and the washer tank swap was no big deal. Just pull the harness/hoses up and around the battery. May even work on the SH models as I don't think there's much difference on the firewall/strut tower sheetmetal.

That was a great video. Definitely some helpful information in it! I didn't even think about the gas mileage loss either. I definitely want to cut my front bumper on my outback because I'm always hitting it on something. I will probably go with the idea of getting another bumper from the junk yard and using that for the cut so when I sell the car people won't be like what did this idiot do?! 🤣

I'm not gonna lie, I didn't think it would crush my mpg either when I did my first bumper cut. But oh boy was I in for a surprise🤣🤣 That being said, I'd do it again any day haha. But I'm a HUGE proponent of using damaged used parts for modification whenever possible. People will usually almost give away damaged body panels. Sick Outback btw. Subscribed!
