I'm so glad that you made this video because I've been in a similar boat lately. I also love making music reaction content, but I also find myself wanting to do more than that because I have so many other things that I enjoy and want to share with the world. Thank you for opening up to everybody and being your most authentic self🤘🤘 Make sure to have fun and enjoy the odyssey🌊⛵️

You channel, your rules. People are either in or out. As a watcher of reaction videos for about 6 years, I watch because I love music but also enjoying feeling like I'm watching with someone. I work 84 hours a week and 4 weeks straight, luckily I have time during my work where I can watch whatever as long as I maintain my duties. I've personally followed channels that kinda do a lil bit of everything. As long as you keep in an audience in mind and upload you can post wherever and be successful. So with that, do what you want, people will always watch. Be true to yourself 💯

This is fair. Actually it's quite normal, and relatable. I don't have any experience with psychedelics, and I'm sure I butchered the spelling on that- still waking up! - but when I was watching this video a few days ago, I started thinking about how much I've changed, and grown, in the last 10 years. I catch myself doing this from time to time; I'll see something in my "memories" section I posted on social media with such passion and such fervor and look at what I said back then and I'm sitting here reading this and leaning back in my chair just all in my mind going "what the FUCK was I thinking back then?" I'm only a voice in the wilderness. I'm just a guy among many others. Never expected you to respond to my question the other day, but I'm glad you did. That was really cool. I'll stick around and see where you decide to go with your channel. Cheers Taylor.

I'm happy for you. So much marketing advice has to do with generating results that can be measured (likes, comments, subscribers, etc.). But for one who is into quality, many of these measured results can be very, very superficial. Too often we end up sacrificing our vision, our identity, and our passion in order to generate more and more of those measured outcomes. Creating a niche may yield greater "results", but at what cost? Is losing the identity and personality and uniqueness of the creator worth getting more subscribers and more likes? No way!

Will there be some parallels between your past experiences and how it might have change your approach to listening to music (whether it's how you feel when listening to something, or what you're looking for when discovering new artists)? Bisous

I'm the same way. Can't find my THING. Other than art. But even that isn't enough. Also I've been following you since your first mushroom video ;) Ps. I'm the first one who suggested that you react to "Hi Ren" so with that said, as a loyal follower with similar taste, your next reaction should be to the "happy" music video by NF. I know you appreciate music that makes you feel something. Good luck with the variety content:) and I look forward to that reaction and reliving it with you.

I've never watched reaction video's just because the reactor have a background in musical performance or theory because I really don't care about that at all. I'm a firm believer that music is not something that can be taught, because one has to love it in the first place. Being taught to perform better through repetition all well and good, but most of the bands I love are self taught and cannot read musical notation. Just a long winded way of me saying your opinions are just as valid as a Juilliard trained singer or composer. There are numerous theory trained reactors I don't watch because to them it comes off as just a way to critique music they see as the lesser or at least that's how they come off. Even if they don't mean to. I subbed to your channel cause you're honest, It's easy enough for me to know when someone is faking it and your not. It's cool you want to branch out to other things as well.

I hope this new path includes reactions to Pentatonix. I know the joy I feel from watching reactors experience their amazing harmonies, their genius in arranging music and their talent is what I am looking for. If that isn’t your journey, there is nothing wrong with that, but for some that will work and for others it won’t. There isn’t a 100% fool proof way of doing KZread. It’s better to be true to what you want, than trying to do what everyone else wants.

I have a couple of comments, not really sure if they will add anything, but here goes. As for what you want to do with your channel, it is your channel, I think you should do what you like or want to do. You mentioned the adage that a channel needs to have a niche. I think that is both true and false. Yes, a niche helps to build a community. You did that with your journey. Once you have a community, I think you can dispense with the niche (to an extent, such as continuing reactions but altering the frequency and how you choose what/who to react to) and broaden your output. Might you lose some subscribers? Probably. But if you make a less than glowing comment about someone's favorite band, you can do the same thing. I guess what I am saying, which will likely be similar to what others say, is do what makes you happy, to whatever extent you want to solicit ideas from us, do so, but don't feel like you're tied to doing what we want all the time. Many here are interested in whatever direction your future journey takes, some aren't. Enjoy the journey and the people who choose to take it with you.

I get the whole point of not having a background in music but I think what you have is the emotions you show when enjoying music, such as the Avations video, with that said I feel like that passion and emotion you show can be transitioned into other aspects of the channel, you don't need to have knowledge to get an audience, what people want to see is the raw passion for what you like. Keep doing you and the rest will follow :)

I don't think channels have to just make one type of content to be successful. It's more about the person than whatever it is their content is on most of the time. You also get a more diverse audience with different types of videos, with some people watching certain vids and others watching other types of vids you upload. I'm fine with non-entheogen videos from this point on and am not really in that phase of my life anymore either however, I still think it'd be cool if you kept up or maybe reuploaded your old past trip report videos, at least most of them. Especially like the iboga and brugmansia ones. I actually didn't even get to watch all of your trip report videos back when they were up because I was actually putting them off to watch later when I was in a better mindset and place with my mental health. So if you'd at least consider reuploading (or unprivating) some of those old trip ones that'd be much appreciated honestly.

Also no need to be embarrassed about those old videos because most peoples' early videos on their channels from when they first started are usually much worse lol. And seeing them as a time capsule of sorts is relatively fair. I mean look at Megan Boyle's vids and her journey, which she even wrote a book on. Her vids were extremely vulnerable. Yours were very appropriate for that time period anyways. The 2010s were like the new 70s anyways.
