Taylor's Odyssey (Taylor Marie)

Taylor's Odyssey (Taylor Marie)

Welcome to the Odyssey!

This channel started out in 2012 as a personal vlog exploring my healing journey with psychoactive plants, most importantly, Ayahuasca. Eventually, psychedelics stopped playing a role in my life which left me wondering what to do with this channel...which direction should I take it? What do I want to talk about or share with others?

The channel was pretty inactive for a few years until January 2023, when new music by Sleep Token drove me to make a video to express my love for the band. From there, my music reaction phase was born.

But music reactions just aren't "it" for me, as fun as they are. I need more.

So, this is the odyssey...my odyssey...to explore and discover and create. To find and create meaning in this crazy life. To share stories and lessons and inspire others to live life to their absolute fullest. And of course, the odd music reaction here and there!

Grateful to have you along for the ride! :)

Thank you for turning me onto Olly Steele. Been loving Aviations for years and I'm always down for some more Adam! The lineup Olly has here is practically catered directly at me haha.

In the beginning when you were unaware of what was about to hit you. Your anticipation mixed with your apprehension was palpable, your smile couldn’t hide it. As the weight of revelation began to land, your whole countenance changed. You weren’t even aware of the vulnerability you are exposing. You were bare, nothing to hide under. A courage I have not seen in many reaction videos of this piece. You were not afraid to be present in that raw emotion, allowing yourself to be seen in that place. You found something there, in that raw place. Curious to hear what that was. Thank you for allowing us to be present, a spectator of the journey.

Im a 43 year old black dude and a HUGE fan of Linkin Park. I have every album, I workout to their music still. Its July 2024 and this song still hits different and brings back memories and makes me emotional. Love hearing Chester's voice and I will always rock Linkin Park. They literally saved me in high school and gave me a voice.

LOVE watching people GET this! THANK YOU for sharing!!! I've watched ...IDK ...hundreds? of HI REN reactions. Some are kinda phoned in, but most really get it. It's always better when the reactor is on the same level of open and real. Watching reactions is like when I was in my teens turning people on to Genesis, YES and CRACK THE SKY... I never get enough of seeing people get blown away, get goose bumps, and the eyes start dropping our sodium levels! Great Share! I want to see more! Did you see the Tale Of Jennie & Screech, and Violet's Tale (trilogy) or Money Game (trilogy)? Heading for your channel! THANKS! PS... Definite;y check out CRACK THE SKY: First Album Self Titled, Second Album ANIMAL NOTES, third Album SAFETY IN NUMBERS. ...strongly recommend the studio versions. Start with HOLD ON/SURF CITY, and don't miss ICE!!! Guaranteed CHILLS!!! There's a gorgeous romp called RANGERS AT MIDNIGHT that will swing your heart.

It's always funny seeing how literally everyone that hears this song goes into it happy and excited because it's always spoken of so highly and at the end we just sit there for like 10s to catch up on what the hell just happened. What an amazing portrayal of internal conflict within humans, whether it's something simple or something extreme, everyone can relate.

This is why we watch reaction videos is to have someone feel it alongside us. As an aside, I’ve noticed that men will tend to shut down a little and women feel it and really process it correctly.

It's funny, or not that some of us slightly older folk get this so hard, but where do you get such true emotion, such genuine feeling expressed so well, I never felt a false moment, but it was like somebody came up to me in the street and told me about the real struggles we all have and said it was all right. I cry every single time I hear this song. I write songs and to me truth is what I am trying to express. Well done Ren.

Yeah this one was rough to hear the first time. I didn’t know Chester personally but I’d listened to Linkin Park. What hit me with this song is just the raw knowledge of the pain Chester was in and we couldn’t see it nor could we help him. We gotta be there for each other in this world because despite the beauty in life it can be so brutal at the same time.

man if that is 'fully ugly crying' u not gonna wanna watch guys crying - lot of them probably getting emotional watching this with u too. Lot of us listened to Linkin Park in our young days - lots of memories, lots of heart broken, first loves, first dates, first proms. Glad we have music that can take us back in time & re experience some of those emotions. Crying is good - need it every now & then.
