Totally agree big studios for music and instruments but just for vocals if you have a really really good mic and a good pc its all what you need. Every day im more impresed with songs that were made in home studios, also mixed and mastered, as mine, but top of the world too
Studio one the best daw all do everything in it from recording my vocals mixing mastering and even for live shows going to start making beats in it as well it’s fast never crashed once drag and drop its on top as a rapper who is getting into mixing and mastering I love it and I used fl and pro tools I make music way faster in studio one

Reaper imo is much more customizable. Reaper 10 years ago is not what it is today. It’s $60. It’s a small file size so you can carry the whole DAW around with you on a thumb drive. I can’t say anything bad about studio one. It’s nice. But I personally like Reason. It fits my needs. @@Echo-nn8dt

AND DOPE STOCK PLUGINS
great show guys. my first time listening and subbed after 5 mins. nice dialogue, and nice work!!
Super fire dialogue. I agree with ALL of the comments made 100% - especially about essential plugins to emulate studio quality
I’m using the T8Vs for my reference monitors (started last year doing audio) I do live sound engineering for a living, and I’ve been in studios just to hang out and heard different speakers…. Adam Audio is a beast, it’s so accurate even in the lower end models (T8V)…. For me pairing thise with the T10 sub it’s amazing, I’m getting a clear representation of the audio spectrum and my mixes are clean, and the room I’m in is not acoustically treated. I’m using Logic, all plugins are stock (I’m not investing money into this side of engineering until I get better first) and I must say for someone that started last year my mixes sound good. So when people ask me how you get it to sound like that I tell them I approach it the same way I approach live sound because that’s all I know at the moment. Two completely different worlds but I’m using what I have at my disposal. 🤷🏾♂️
@chemdrum

Yes sir! I myself am heavily in the live sound world also and a lot of these 2 worlds do collide in similarities. Gain structure, microphone placement, etc. The main difference is the space and feedback lol .

I started in ProTools because my best friend had it. Moved to Logic Pro X when I got my own studio in 2019 because of it versatility and pricing. If I had to pick another DAW I would rock with it would be Cubase by Steinberg.

As far big studios go, I believe that rock, jazz and other forms of live music will come out better in a major space. Especially if the band likes to record in real time with fewer overdubs.

@ 21:05 i love the description of this because every producer and or artist get the though that they need to be in a Real studio or get a real studio to make the sound better not knowing some known popular songs have been done without a professional studio. I feel people saying or thinking that are less bold and 2nd guess themselves on how they process their own production that truth proved otherwise. @23:12 is true I find myself doing mono and I'm 100 percent sure your hearing things in mono that you don't in Stereo when adjusting levels and mixing with EQ'ing its effective cause you could hear from the low end to the high end sound spectrum you could hear when somethings clashing. Yall guys or hitting Nails with the conversations the accuracy and comparison is too spot on. Keep going Yall got a thing going and yall on fire with it.

Fyi Cubase was the first DAW. Steinberg also created vst plugins, everytime you use one Steinberg (Cubase) gets paid 🤷🏾♂️. Also, the first virtual sampler was Halion by Steinberg. Also the melodyne integration that he's talking about in pro tools has been available in other daws it's called ARA and has been a part of Cubase for 2 versions 🤷🏾♂️. I could go on 🤣

Yooooo, it's crazy how anyone can legit create or record an entire album with just a decent mic, xlr cable, decent interface and either headphones or studio monitors. Assuming you have a pretty powerful computer of course lol. But yea, big large format studios can still be in it, as you said, if you're trying to record a band or something acoustics(drums, guitars, choirs, etc).

Bro it’s wild and I think we take it for granted
Bro i recorded 10000 songs without latency on ableton! (with tune comp and eq in the chain while recording) Not even one single track feels with latency in the vocals after i recorded and processed everything. And the comping in Ableton 11 is all what Live was missing ❤ Fl Studio users not being honest with their daw that was funny 😂😂😂

On the mono utility part. You can select left only and right only. You can split into both sides
In ableton put your audio interface on direct monitoring then make sure the auto button is checked then arm your track and you’re good to go!!! And also use a low buffer size 128 or 256. Bless
Bball and Music production. My fav two topics in life.🔥
In Ableton you can fix the recorded latency by recording two tracks at the same time and have one tracks monitoring to off and not in or auto
My experiences using flex pitch on vocals always added an unpleasant robotic tone to the source so I never used it

Just worked a month at a large studio in The Bahamas and some engineers came over with 25 to 30 year experience and they only worked on the NS-10's. The high quality mains were only for client reference listening moments! It's all about the MIDS!! Low and High!! Side note all club speakers are MONO
@donnydarko7624

This plus the fact that the vast majority of people don't have proper stereos these days, but rather have small Bluetooth speakers, listen on phones, or off computer speakers is why I'm of the opinion that we should all be making our mixes mono. Your intention for a sound to impart a certain amount of energy via making it wide in the stereo gets completely missed by most listeners these days due to this.
Do a tutorial on how to set up your fireface 400

Of course they are. For a beat maker who maybe records vocals they're not. But for bands, orchestral and also an artist who has the budget and understands the benifits of recording and mixing through the best gear, then they are definitely still relevant and always will be. Not sure how this is even a question?

If more FL users understood how to use the routing system then we wouldn’t get clowned on so bad.
