ARE ELEMENT SKATEBOARDS GOOD?

Are element skateboards just for Nyjah loving children or do they actually make a good deck. Watch to find out!

    I was turned off of ps boards around 2006 when I was skating alien/habitat boards and the boards were hit or miss. Sometimes a board was great and poppy then the next one would be soggy from day one. I got some toy machine boards a few months ago and so far they’ve been great. Good shapes. Good pop. Last a long time.

    I skated as a kid and last year I decided to get back into it. I bought an element complete, Nyjah Huston signature (I didn’t even know who that was at the time) in 7.75. It has held together very well. It has taken some good hits to the nose and tail and there is no chipping. I will buy Element again

    One of my favorite decks was am Element and this was way back before they became so popular due to Bams fame and such. I had a few after that and they were great. I've not had one in over 10 years but if there still made the same then they're good. I always end up going back to alien Workshop and Girl or chocolate.

I did love element until I experimented with different brands and ended up loving Girl and Chocolate the most and stuck with them for years. I did buy two brand new Alien workshop decks the one time through my experimenting and they were by far the worst boards I ever had... I was so pissed I had to skate them until I could get my mom to buy me a new deck.

    @@bendegros I may have to grab one of these then. Restarted skating last year after 10 years away and I haven't been able to adjust to the newer shapes

    My first real board was element, the orange and blue graphic, best board I skated st the time. Got back to skating after 13 years (27 now) and apparently element wasn't cool anymore haha, ended up getting an ATM deck. It's ok I suppose. Can't tell if it's really good because I was never very good. Swapping the indys for some blacksmiths reduced the weight and I'm closer to landing popshuvits now, the deck seems to pop alittle better now, , but I'm still getting my legs back so my ollies aren't very high

    It’s true, certainly their pro models and Featherlight decks have BBS etched in the top.

    Element was my first board but their concave is like skating a plank of wood. Best for a bowl. They stay snappy forever i skated mine for years i was too light to break it.

  • @love4boost
    @love4boost5 жыл бұрын

    I wonder if they changed the wood at some point in the last decade. It was weird when I skated them around 04-05 they had great pop the first couple weeks then felt really soggy and weighted down. But yet when I would get pissed and try to stomp it I had a couple that could almost flex to the ground and go back to form making me further angry. They also had a fiberlight back then. I hated that board from day one and had the same problem lol.

    Ben, I have an important question, how do you recommend to do your sessions if you want to become more consistent with your tricks? Whenever I skate I land every trick I already have thrice. Nonetheless I don't see that much progress in certain intermediate tricks, even though I practice them all time (talking about switch backside 180s and varial flips)... Should I continue with new tricks or just keep practicing these tricks until I get them clean?

    Could anyone help me with what board to get here, I've been using Airwalk all my life because they sell them local to me ( and they are cheap ! ) but they are so heavy, I need a much lighter board, I was looking into element featherlight for a bit, what's the lightest brand that isn't for kids ?

    This is very offtopic to this video but since I can’t find anywhere to ask this question, I’ll ask it here. So I have an 8.0 and I ended up getting a truck that’s from Indepedent a size 109, is it alright to ride trucks smaller than the decks width?

  • @bendegros

    @bendegros

    It's okay if you have no other options but 109 sounds very small. You would usually have 139 with an 8

    haha funny i did the same thing a month ago, put my thunders on my old board and it got some extra 'life'..wonder why though? wheelbase related?

  • @bendegros

    @bendegros

    5 жыл бұрын

    Yes. Thunders have a wider wheelbase which makes the deck feel a tiny bit heftier which negates the soggy feeling a little bit.
