Absolutely nailed it. We’re getting robbed blind and everyone is to distracted to wake up and see the opportunity that once was available is at the edge of no return. There will be a day again of the have’s and have not’s. 70 years ago the buying power of the dollar (and yes I know it’s not totally apples to apples) the American household could have 1 income and have a hell of a good life. Now 2 household incomes and the idea of multiple revenue streams is considered normal. When the hell did side gigs become a necessity? And I’ll be damned if we’re not our own worse enemy because using your 10% profit example, your neighbor down the road will cut his margin to cut your throat to get your ground and do it for more total dollars but less margin per acre.

Exactly.... it's a really lousy picture... the only way to fix it is to first recognize it ... for our own operation, I'm bound by many limitations but always looking for ways to defy the odds - although most of the time, they either don't pan our or are a dead lead ....bottom line, this once great country (especially for farmers) is going down the toilet

That new JD CTL is sharp. You nailed it when you said we need all energy. I say that all the time.

Deere knocked it out of the park! Be exciting to see those on the market, although I'm doubting we'll be able to afford one anytime soon - these machinery prices are insane and not coming back down ...only thing coming down Is commodities prices - talk about custom designing a wealth gap ....

@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling I agree! They claim if you were poor going into this you will be really poor and if you were somewhat wealthy you will be really wealthy. In the mean time the middle class is being done away with. I don't see how they think this will work. It takes the middle class to buy the wealthy companies products. The poor will not be able to purchase much. The wealthy can only buy so many products.

I'm cool with the ethanol addition. But I'm not cool with the elimination of choice at the pump. If it was a free market, ethanol addition would have never survived naturally. At the time, the swap over created a less potent fuel source. A watered down fuel source for the engines at the time. Less power, less fuel economy. Thanks daddy gubment.

On the other side of the coin the argument would be - do we just continue to import more oil ? ... plus ethanol is used in the fuel oxeginanation process- eliminating cancer causing mtbe ... the number one promoter of bio fuels right now is actually oil companies ... I don't like govt either - but where do you draw the line bc without certain sectors, there would be mass pollution and problems ...personally, I think about 1980s govt was far enough- and by today's standards it wasn't very powerful .... ethanol should develop more power - higher octane - just less milage ... ethinal has actually made feeding cattle cheaper too, since they feed the distillers grain byproduct

You see them new case skid steers that are huge? The 550 with steel tracks a ripper and dozer blade that's interchangeable with the bucket so it's multi purpose. The silicon valley bank deal is pretty interesting right now.

I did! They are huge ..sweet looking machines... boom is similar in design to like an older 95xt ....it would be fun to try one out ...... we're going to see more inflation, unfortunately, although it will be good for grains momentarily

@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling yeah it's gonna be a interesting ride for sure. Yeah I'm looking for another XT series skid loader something bigger than my 40xt. I've even though about Deere or bobcat too.

@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling yeah it's fun, hard to find a affordable one lol I mean if I had all the money on the world I'd get a bobcat t770 with hand controls like a case or Deere and that'd be about like a d4 dozer lol not that I need that big but you never know. And pre def is really bringing a premium I see.
