As a lung cancer survivor (thanks to Cannabis!), I ditched the cigs, the joints, and the pens and switched to a dry-herb vaporizer. My lungs have never been happier!!! and cancers gone too ;)

Do you think the vaporizer gives you the same high?

not a fan or regular user of vape pens. I was a tobacco vaper back in 2015 trying to stop cigarettes. they help but are not healthy in my personal experience. last week, I was low on flower and realized I had 5 vape pens in my stash due to a lot of dispensaries were giving them away or adding them to "grab bags" during sales over the past year. So I pulled them out and started using them. I have had headaches and weird coughs after a few days so I stopped. but but the real tell is that the high is completely different than a flower or edible high. So for me that is evidence that there has to be different effects to your physical body using a vape rather than flower or edibles. maybe I.m just stoned.

I agree 💯with you. Why I use homemade edibles almost always. BTW a good dry herb vape costs only as much as 2-3 carts.

I live in Montreal are these legal here and can you get them from the government weed stores or do you have to get them online or elsewhere? Do they make you cough more or less than smoking weed?

I hate vape pens, and they really hurt my lungs. I'd always rather use ingestion or herb vapes except for 2 things. 1. Sometimes I'm bed bound and smoking makes my house smell since I can't go outside to use my herb vape. 2. My biggest frustration is that some of the strains that really help me are ONLY available in vape pens any more, e.g. GDP! I have found some seeds but that's the only alternative. It seems like producers are only in it for the $$$ rather than helping medical users live better lives.

No. They're rechargeable and last a very long time. The outlay is higher but no environmental issues and all you get is flower

Sources? Also the people that were getting sick a dying from thc vape pens was due to bootlegged carts that had vitamin e oil added.

We had to take a pause from that, unfortunately.

Here in Australia cannabis is heavily regulated as a Controlled Drug for Medicinal use but it is legalised federally so the Therapeutic Goods Administration (like the FDA) has very strict regulation on vapes concentrates and vape accessories. So they are considered to be reasonably safe and vaping devices have to meet certain quality and safety standards for medicinal devices.

You can get clean cartridges, just not as easily as terrible ones.

10:30 people don't feel good taking these? why are you just throwing out anecdotes that you just invented? i've heard otherwise. you cant really hope to spread education when you say dumb shit like "they don't make people feel good" when you're just entirely wrong. and in denial

You can read the comments here and elsewhere about how vape pens make some people feel. When we said “they don’t make people feel good”, we weren’t saying they aren’t effective. We were alluding to the headaches, sore throat, coughing, etc. that many report from vape pen use. While many people don’t seem to be as sensitive, it doesn’t negate the things in the rest of the episode. Just because you don’t feel bad from something, doesn’t mean it couldn’t be harmful. I think we can all agree that anecdotes aren’t enough and there should be long term studies before releasing new delivery methods to people and calling them “medicine”.
