This happened to me with Crystal meth. I was right on the verge of passing out when I was asked if I wanted to try something and then was told to suck softly. Second later, I was no longer drunk. This was a start of a 19 year addiction that I finally beat 3 years ago.

During an awesome acid trip two decades ago, I was handed a bong and I thought it was just cannabis. After taking a hit, the guy that handed me the bong asked, "Have you ever free based coke?" I said no, then he smiled and said, "You just did." The LSD masked any felt effects of the coke as I could not tell the difference. He certainly was affected because he was talking a mile a minute. After coming down, I felt betrayed and never spoke with the bong owner again.

It's like how squirrels buried peanuts I gave them and crows would watch, swoop down and steal them after the squirrel left, then later, the squirrels would frantically search for the peanuts they buried like crack addicts searching for crack. They'll do anything to get more of the stuff, much like the average person does with money. Drug of choice. Naturally, I hate money and what it does to people, especially since all of this happened in the Seattle area which at that time was yuppie central. I watched it turn from being a nice place to live into a living hell.

I had a very similar experience with meth. These “friends” of mine at the time kept calling it “swoop”, and me being naive regarding hard-drugs, had no idea what I was actually trying. Once I felt the high from this “swoop,” I immediately knew that this was THE drug for me, thus leading me down a path of addiction that I still struggle with today…. These so-called friends would even supply me with more whenever I needed it, keeping up the lie for months, but obviously I’d eventually find out the reality of it all, though a little bit too late considering by then I was already heavily addicted…. If I would’ve known what I was actually doing meth back then, I probably would have never even tried it. It makes me sick if I think about all the “what if’s” anymore though. All I can do is move on and learn from it now. So yup, sometimes those who you think are your friends are actually the exact opposite of that.

As someone who was “tricked “ into smoking crack once for the period of 4 days, thanks for sharing. I actually can’t say that I didn’t enjoy it, but I haven’t even tried to find it for 2 years, one and done, as much as I loved it I wasn’t willing to let myself become an adict. I had tried 2 lines of cocaine in my life and hated the anxiety after it wore off. Years later I rented an old dump of a house. It had been converted from forced air to electric heat and the vent holes were still in the floors. When I first went into the crawlspace there were hundreds of beer can pipes under each vent hole. Inside the cans were little rocks of unburned crack that had fallen through the cans holes. A no brainer, God wanted me to smoke crack! I cut open and emptied hundreds of cans and made a rather sizeable pile of crack. And being on unemployment insurance at the time I was able to indulge. I basically isolated myself for 2 months smoking my found crack and masturbating. It was fucking awesome and I'm glad it happened yet wish it never had because of the "life could never get better" effect. That was in 1996 and I've had no further involvement with cocaine but if you gave me another pile for free I'd lock the door and ignore the world again. Fuck it was lovely, fuck I hated it.

In my late twenties in the 90’s I smoked it one night. It made me feel great while it lasted.I loved the way it made me feel free and peaceful. I wanted more when the party was over. We came up with more $ and secured more but it ran out quick. By the very end of the night I was looking on the floor in case a rock dropped and succumbed to inhaling a toothless hessians crack smoke as he exhaled...At around 4 a.m I left the party with another dude who I didn’t know and a bottle of tequila so we could sleep. I had to work at 8 a.m that day. We proceeded back to his house to try to rest. We got to his place and slammed some tequila. He was Muslim so he started kneeling on his rug and praying. I just sat there watching him wanting more crack but realizing this was a bad scene as I had to work soon. By the grace of god I fell asleep until 9 a.m. I was late for work and went to the office in a state of a crack hangover and the previous nights clothes on. My boss took one look at me and said “whattttt is wrong with you?” I had enough smarts to tell him I had the flu and was delirious with a fever. He completely believed me and told me to go home and not to work so hard when I was sick. He felt sorry for me...I wish I knew what I looked like! LOL Anyways I’ve never touched that junk again and just the thought of crawling around looking for a rock that may have fell brings back a pathetic memory. I wholeheartedly believe this shit can get you hooked after 1 puff. Stay away from it! Trust me.

Somebody did that with me with crack and got me addicted, but I didn't have to pay for it. He spent a $150K inheritance on it and then got his brother addicted and they went through his as well, but I had moved out of the area before that happened and stopped using the stuff. It drew in a lot of horrible people and was in a horrible neighborhood in the same area where Gary Ridgway found his victims. People are always trying to corrupt you in one way or another. Some people will purposely get you addicted so they can take advantage of you, and once they've used you up, they move on.

In my mid 20's I had friends who got into cocaine for a while and the best way I'd describe what it was for me - it was like you said for the most part, not euphoric, mildly anesthetic but mostly neutral. The first time I tried it I had some motivational fuzz where anytime I felt like doing something I'd try doing it for a few moments and nah...that's not it... and I'd try doing something else and the same thing would happen and I kind of realized I couldn't lock my attention or motivation onto anything. I don't think I experienced that last part subsequently but it was very similar, especially in higher doses, to what it felt like in my early 20's when I'd be on a speedy pressed ecstasy pill when the serotonin / empathogen effects wore off and I felt slightly euphoric but mostly just sort of neutral / awake.

It’s been such a routine that I guess I don’t think of it. And it’s a stupid story on how I even got on them. I wasn’t addicted to opiates. But I would take a piece of sub here and there for a boost. Well one day driving home from work, I was pulled over for an overdue fine. I was manipulated into a car search and they found 1 single packet. So my lawyers great advice was to go get a prescription. So I did, to get out of the charge. That was 4 years ago. Stupid stupid stupid.

Now I've coughed a few thousand times in my life but never have I coughed like this, this was pain, this was torture, I retched and recoiled and handed the "pipe" back to my friend, he said I did it wrong and began to make up another hit, I refused and I've never touched it since, call me superstitious but I was like nah imma leave it at that... I then watched my friends go "shhh" "someones coming! Back when I was regularly taking different substances, I had friends who I would hang out with who didn't normally do anything more than smoke weed. If they were over and we were hanging out and I had anything stronger, I always made it a point to let them know before they got too messed up that that stuff was in the house and I was probably going to end up doing it at some point, just so they knew what was coming and had the option to not be around it. I also would offer it, letting them know ya know it's safe here if you're curious, but I also said if they had any doubts what so ever, not to do it. I always tried to do this while they were still relatively sober, because I knew that later, when they were fucked up their thinking wouldn't be right and they could later be like "hey man let's try that shit now I think I'm ready", but I would remind them they said no earlier, and compromise to possibly doing it at a later time when their mind was in the right spot. In my opinion, nothing good ever comes from an experience with any drug if you're pressured into it, and also if you're the one supplying you are fully responsible for the physical and mental well being of that person. There are also certain things which I did that were completely off limits to anyone else, because I knew how easy it was to get hooked on them and completely derail your life and I didn't want to be the one who caused that. Basically, in the end, if you wanna share your experiences with someone else give them the choice, and if they say no then hey, that just means more for you and it's their loss. Everyone will have a much better time that way, and it makes things way less uncomfortable during the high and especially later.

I could understand why people might luv it as it felt like I was sinking into the bath tub but I personally hated it.. asked my friend how long it lasted cause I just wanted it to be over (it made me feel really dirty) and riding it out, even when I did other drugs I still like to feel in control.. thankfully I don't have an addictive personality cause that's where I think it can turn for the worse in someone.. another terrible experience was buying and tacking an extacy pill with I later realised had heroin in it... took a bunch of pickled magic mushrooms on toast thinking they were regular mushrooms.. and another time blacking out with being spiked with Xanax in my drink and another night special k in my drink and crawling down a street in the city waking up in a backyard the next day... it was then that I seriously questioned my circle of friends haha.. those were the old days.. these days I'm pretty boring don't even smoke or drink

@@682logan totally disagree. Opiates do little to no damage to the users brain, in that sense they are some of the safest drugs of all and that is a scientifically proven fact. Considerably safer than psychedelics. The stigma surrounding is heavily based on 2 things. If you take too much in a single dose you die, if you take them too often you become addicted. The life of an addict however can be very destructive on numerous levels and addicts end up doing things they would have never done otherwise. It affects all aspects of their lives and more often than not anyone else who is close to them. The shame of being an addict perpetuates the addiction. Opiate addiction manifests very quickly and is reinforced by strong physical and mental withdrawal. Psychedelics are obviously not physically addictive, nor for most psychologically. There is no way you could trip everyday for 1 year yet alone say 10 without getting very messy.
