I wished there were more sellers of Arctic fans here in Brazil. There is only one and it didn't carry the full range of Arctic products. This white P12 is on pre-sale for months now, and the only other reasonable place to buy them is in China, which our government now taxes heavily, to discourage imports from Ali Express and similar online shops.

Well, that explains it (DBB vs FDB); For my white build, I got the 140mm white and I did not like the sound as well as the ones I had in black from previous builds (as rad or case fans)... just thought it was variation. Based on your reviews, (even though not available in white and costs much more) I went with the SilverStone Technology Shark Force 140 - the performance, quietness, and quality of the sound are simply the best! Perfect for my Threadripper work system!

Even the black version comes with FDB now (Revision 2) 😅

This vid has all the stuff I love, "all the data", All the test results, frequency plot graphs, and cats.

The equal warranties and longevity claims is surprising for the different bearing types. It could almost be a mistake on the packaging, except the sound profiles are a little different. $4.50 difference might sound crazy for a color and bearing change, but that white color might be difficult to manufacture well. I mean, look at Noctua, have they produced a white fan blade yet? Just brown for years, then adding gray. In plastics darker colors hide imperfections.

to be frank I don't know how the paint/color costs in plastics but I believe that Noctua does it for example for style, as a brand reference, and not for cost.

What about the annoying graspy noise comming from the bearing? Did it disappear with the white version?

They use FDB now in both colors, so this noise is gone.

These fans are a bit ridiculous. I'd say the 3000rpm mode is a "holy sh*t mode". You'd only want to be using it when it's the only way to keep the computer cool. Good to have it there for low-airflow cases. My case is white, so I might go for the white version just for aesthetic reasons.
