Robert Plant said he wish he wrote this song. High praise by Led Zeppelin’s frontman.

Especially since he was originally written off as a Plant knockoff.

David Coverdale’s story is crazy. Was discovered at 19 and put into the biggest band in the world at the time … Deep Purple! Is This Love is the next one to do. Amazing vibe!!

Actual talent. No tracks, no computer. Real guys playing real rock. No pop star today plays live, all tracks. So glad I had this great stuff on the radio.

Fun fact: none of the guys in the video except for singer David Coverdale and maybe Adrian Vandenberg are on the recording. They joined the band after the album was recorded.

Vnadenberg did a guitarsolo on Here I Go Again, the rest was played by John Sykes. Geffen insisted that there was a MTV proof band. So, a whole new band was hired.

I have to admit, this was one of the best songs of the 80s that I remember. I especially remember the party experiences while this and other great songs were playing. Great memories.

Slow n Easy and Slide it in are great hits that came out before this album. The model was the lead singers wife.

This song reminds me of Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog" . . . but an 80s version.

This song and video was in the day and still is powerful, intense and suggestive. The video, music, lyrics and vocals add everything i just mentioned. That guy was playing a guitar with a violin stick. Have never seen anyone do that before. Like i said was a great video and song in the day and still is. It stands the test of time. Way better than the garbage that is out today.

The house that John Sykes built. Shame he is not in this video, he wrote and arranged quite a lot of stuff on the 1987 album while being one of the best guitar players ever.

"Led Zeppelin - Dazed and Confused (Live at Madison Square Garden 1973)" Page was doing it back in 1967 and Eddie Phillips was doing back in 63. Many people have since, and many people do it today. There's wiki page on bowed guitar if you're interested. That said, you can't get that sound you hear in the video from it, but just FYI he also busted out a bow live as well. Search " Whitesnake - Still Of The Night (Live at MTV MVA 1987)" Faking it. Search "Violin bow on a Guitar Amazing Street Performance - Manchester" and you'll see a street perform bowing a guitar like an expert. "Using Violin Bows on Electric Guitar" the history of it from the Reverb channel. Check out how it sounds on a electric bass, search: "Playing bass with a bow actually sounds HEAVENLY " That is all to say, yes it can be done and people do it. Search YT, there's more than a few vids of people doing it.
