I was there at the Premier. Spent a year working and travelling around NZ 2001/2. One the best years of my life. Waking up on the morning of the premier, making my way down to the City from the Suburb of Brooklyn with my girlfriend and house mates early to stand near the Embassy theatre for hours upon hours. The City was so alive with excitement, all the shops and business's were middle earth themed and the crowd reaction to the red carpet pomp was out of this world and the movie, well I don't need to tell you about that! Happy Days.

I'm late, I know but I felt like revisiting the past for nostalgia. Truly a magnum opus this trilogy was. We are lucky to be alive to experience it. 😭

Harry Potter book series was classified a childerns book due to fact that no other book could compete with them on New York best sellers list. So was kicked out. When it went to movie still had same media classification.

I'm jealous of your youth but trust me you should be jealous of my generation's introduction to lotr. As a little kid the fellowship was my first movie with a surround sound system and a decent one too then rushing to the next two movies to see them on the first available viewing. It just knocked kids on their butts.

@@RalphRoberts1 but lets be honest, we're the best generation to live with the greatest cinematic experience! Imagine, experiencing Middle Earth on the 2000s and then 2022 we're experiencing Middle Earth's glory once again!!! The same as experiencing Tobey Maguire's Spidey, Patrick Stewart's Prof X, OG Cast of Jurassic Park all coming back!!!

@@lochnessmonster4884 experiencing it again? I hope you're not referring to the show, cause the hobbit trilogy wasn't remotely as good as lotr. We shouldn't expect the show to be any better, especially without PJ. I do like x-men (dark Phoenix aside) and toby McGuire's spiderman was decent for the most part but particularly the newer jarassic park movies suck. I'm baffled by any kind of comparison of any of them to lotr.

@@lochnessmonster4884 but you don't know it's "fantastic". Big budget doesn't necessarily mean shit. I don't know what happy pills you're taking but there's this old song called I Believe I Can Fly. Don't listen to it or I expect you might jump from a tall building.
