This is my personal favorite arc from W3 (aside from Arthas becoming LK of course duh). This is the climax to the Reign of Chaos as the Legion invades Kalimdor. The Horde, Humans & Night Elves put aside bitter hatreds so Malfurion can blow his magical tuba and kill Archimonde with dandruff. A true classic! One of the better aged cinematics as well! (Look at those trees!) As always, thank you for your support and patience. I continue to add all the music in the background, and I’m always open to constructive criticism, to improve! If you know Illidan's lore then you would realize why Malfurion is like that towards him.

So, Archimonde was a summoned unit. Malfurion needed time to build 100 wisps and mass detonate him.

I recently got this game and finished the campaign once again(this time without cheating :)) I hadn't played this game since 13 years ago when I used to play DOTA with my friends in school. It brought back so many memories from my childhood. Memories of so many people who are no longer in my life. That ending almost made me tear up :(. "I will take my place among the legends of the past"

There is not a single Night Elf that doesn't possess a crippling character flaw to the point that they are less likable than the villains.

Medivh is kind of a badass for orchestrating the whole worlds defence.

There were no sentinels during the war of the ancients. If i remember correctly they replaced the moonguards later

In the original, there is no archer at 1:22 Instead she gets killed by the doomguard standing on the left side of the screen at 2:09 so in fact both killed someone and Archimode randomly killed one of them

Funnily enough the reverse is true. In classic wow druids were super weak and became stronger through the expansions.

8:36, it it's gonna be novelized or put into bigscreen or series, i think tyrande and malfurion had a heart to heart talk about accepting/forgiving illidan before they arrived at the scene... U can clearly hear the concern in malfurion's that tyrande might have reasoned him well into forgiving his brother. Tooo baddd.. The real reforge is just in my imagination.... I was hoping for mor chapters, mission, more cutscenes to make the story more fluid... Maeive, naisha, varok, and other characters mentioned in the novels to be atleast involved here... Hahays

its actually funny that the animation for archimonde at 16:14 is worse than it was in the original game the circle looked way more epic and fitting than seeing him raising the hands like he is at some concert :D

Damn, Warcraft 3, Vanilla, TBC, Wrath....such incredible cinematics, a story and visual spectacle. It's a damn shame people who made them all are no longer with Blizzard, they gave the game its soul, its identity...now it's a colossal mess with no direction.

It's got to be the greatest insult to Archimonde that he got killed by a swarm of what were at the time WORKER units.

Coincidentally this how certain species of bees deal with predators. They will swarm them and use friction to heat up until the predator dies. The bees have evolved to withstand just about more heat than the predator

If the current writers went through with adding changes, they'd probably have Malfurion almost die to a Demon in the last mission but then Illidan comes back and saves him at the last moment while spouting a cheesy one-liner. :P

Honestly, one of the cinematics that aged quite well. These were way ahead of their time to still hold up quite nicely even today. But just imagine an actual remake of them :O

Cannonicaly, of course the night elves with him has told him. And of course they will have that chitchat behind the scene where they assess the situation kinda thing... Ang you dont think they encountered humans and or orcs as they established a base there? That's what I was hoping for reforged.. Like to add more in-between missions Nd chapters to give more cohesiveness to the story and reveal untold stories 😭😭 like, what if there was a cuts ene where tyrande and illidan actually had a heartfelt talk... Tyrande not being able to reason with the watchers, and the watchers were so prideful and initiated attack on her so she was prompted to kill them... Lotr like feels during the twilight of the gods where a non controllable alliance of nelfs orcs and nelf periodically march towards archimodes base to aid you... Chimaeras arrive with an armay of green dragon flight and ysera, back ups when orc towers destroyed, maeive, naisha, varok, etc notable characters having scenes tooo. Wahhhh.... My imagination is doing all the reforge to hype me up hays... Anyway thats that

I think thats mostly because they inog redid the models and characters and nothing else, so from what I can see its just HD characters in the original low graphics terrain, buildings, etc.

The models look way too sharp on edges and squeaky clean. Like, no ruggedness to characters . The original models felt realistic .

I will take my place amongst the legends of the past, the nerves this self proclaimed hero has. He is the reason why all this shit happens in the past and future is because of him. Setting a Forrest in fire and plant 1 tree doesn’t make it good or righteous. I hate medivh with every thing i got!!

Uh... correct me if I'm wrong but... This isn't a cinematic it's a game rendered cutscene, isn't it?

The last one with Archimonde's death is indeed the cinematic. The others are cutscenes that play after each mission of each campaign.

It saddens me that they failed to meet our expectations about the cutscenes and gameplay. Blizzard was one of the top then went down with one remaster.

Jay Lee , same impression, except orcish (non human like) seemed bit better to me. Perhaps because I have no knowledge how their faces should behave. ;) Anyway, I have impression like they would have facial animations to tonal language speakers and speak non tonal.

My personal favorite part. The night elf language is beautiful and a lot of the words are satisfying to hear. Wish Blizzard would use it more in WoW, and not just on the NPC vendors you interact with :D

@@connormac4401 I think that person was referring to the random talking happening over the scene, not the singing. If you're referring to the vocals in the singing, that is actually something Blizzard got from a sample library. It's a sample of the folk song "Ailein Duinn", which is Scottish Gaelic for "Dark-haired Alan". They used it for the night elf defeat theme in classic Warcraft 3, as well as moments throughout the night elf campaign. They even used it during the first half of WoW's ECTS announcement trailer back in 2001 (not the launch cinematic). I bring this up, because if it IS the singing you're referring to, then that is Scottish Gaelic, an actual real language. Otherwise, if you are just referring to the talking overlaying the scene as I suspect the person you're responding to was, then yeah, those are random night elf voices.
