Thank you and to your student for this material which demonstrated my main flaw I am struggling with, which is my alignment and when I come or fail to come into alignment. The take away from your video is working to come into alignment using the core and shoulders.

@@RogueArcheryTV I ve been tilting back because I putting too much empasis on the draw without balancing with a push. That's born out of my blending of the pre-draw, draw and the rotation to alignment. Based on your basic steps you've kindly posted here on YT I seperate the pre-draw from the draw and make sure I have my alignment first before proceeding further, avoiding a cascade of errors. This has cleaned up my left/rights as my draw length variations are less and there is less muscle mass involved to fatigue (no clicker, shooting Barebow). Your coaching is very clear and concise in all your case studies and the level your archers are at after such a short time frame is amazing! Now I need to focus more on loading and then keeping expansion going while aiming. That's my big issue going forward. Avoing the stop start of expansion when the float of the aim moves outside of where I m happy with it being. Thanks again for your YT channel and case studies!

The stance and the position of the head during the shooting circle are things that I should correct. It is difficult sometimes to see yourself. You made very precise observations, your “diagnosis “ was excellent. Wish to see more.👏👍🏹

I am doing similar things to the archer in this video. Too much on the draw not enough balance between push and pull causing me to put more weight on the back foot. The sight picture raises and I have to force the pin back down, compromising my bow shoulder. I ve also lost a bit of alignment and that core rotation power. I switched to a square stance after shooting open stance. I did not do foot placement consistently which caused changes to draw length.

These videos are priceless! I'm very new to archery and my form and anchor aren't consistent as I'm sure it's very normal at this stage. Your explanation and video commentary are super helpful. I've watched so many other videos from different pros and got some great advice but this video series is by far the most informative I've watched yet. So detailed and it's definitely giving me more confidence going out to my next session. Keep up the brilliant work. All the best from Ireland 🇮🇪💪👍

@@RogueArcheryTV would all the technique be the same for barebow? Slightly higher anchor so would the loading phase still be the same? Elbow position etc.

I have noticed that if I use rotation to align the shoulder in pre-draw, I sometime over rotate and sometimes under rotate, resulting in groups that have more left to right. If I align the shoulder before the pre-draw, my groups tighten up. This has been one thing I’ve been working on. It seams to me, if I set torso to its final position, I have been more consistent. And have noticed that some Korean archers at the highest levels complete the rotation before their pre-draw. It seam the downside to this is more arm strength to draw the bow and maybe shoulder problems. Seam Jay Barrs is probably not a good example of keeping the head position through the shot process. Lol

Yes, this does take some training to get constitent shoulder alignment in Pre-draw. There are a number of drills that we do to train consistency in shoulder alignment using this method, as any variance will basically destroy your ability to have good clicker control! Rotation of the shoulders should be completed by Pre-draw, and looking at many shooting styles, there are very few exceptions to this. One of the things to keep in mind that affects the degree of rotation through the core (thoracic rotation) is: - Upper body mobility, and - Shoulder width to arm length ratio Even within the Korean team, you can see this variance. Archers like Choi Misun and Lee WooSeok have longer arms and good upper body mobility, but Kang Chae Yeong and Kim Woojin have broader shoulders and core rotation is more pronounced. Nevertheless, they all achieve shoulder alignment from Raise to Pre-draw. P.S. Michelle Frangilli is another exception to head movement... as well as various other things! 😉

@@yanglai524 I just posted a clip of Lim on Facebook where you can see how she does align her shoulders to achieve Pre-draw position. She's a perfect example of this. Have a look at the clip and let me know if you can't see it as I can do a little breakdown.

Hello Jarryd so, are you going to upload more videos about coaching case? like i wanted to send you a video of my technique, will you accept it? will you post it on your KZread channel? that could help other people. But first i want to train my technique on the theraband before moving to the bow, so it will take a time for me to send you a video. i really like your channel, please keep making videos

I am quite new and have a lot of trouble maintaining head position when drawing because I can't get my elbow around without my hand going well past the front of my face so I need to pull my head back to wear my hand ends up. I don't know if this is because my arms are particularly long of what. I just don't get the geometry of it.
