Fun Fact: The reason why Drayton's trial is in the artic biome is because it's a reference to how in Black and White 2, Opelucid city (the city with the Dragon type gym) was completely frozen by Team Plasma

I cant unsee the shiny magnemite at 13:47 😂 right after he enters Chargestone Cavern. "Magnemite, that's pretty standard." RIP shiny magnemite. 😂 Also if you battle all the trainers then talk to the counselor ladies in each area you'll get around 3,000 bp total as a reward.

I know you are using diplin so you already have a grass type, but I'd recommend using ogerpon. It will trigger custom dialog with carmine and kieran

For this challenge you can't use pokemon you got in terra raids either, but once you beat the three trainers you can use whatever pokemon you want against Drayton.

They can all be swept with a Golurk and Eelektross, that's what I did lol Catch the open wild tera mons, they tend to have better stats

I love how drayton's comment bout the vault of beefy pokemon is basically a cheeky jab from gamefreak to the players

Drayton almost makes the Indigo Disk worth the money all by himself he's that amazing he slacks off but is a genuinely nice guy he reminds me of Shikamaru from Naruto who slacks off when something isn't worth the hassle from the trailers people thought Drayton was gonna be an enormous douche how wrong they were 😆

For Overqwil, you just need to teach Qwilfish Barb Barrage and level it up here

If Archaludon's ridiculous BST wasn't enticing enough, it also gets access to Stamina. So you can get funny with Body Press shenanigans even with Assault Vest

Fun Fact for Michael Zebstrika now has a 100 power Physical electric move (it has a couple downsides tho) called Supercell Slam, High Horsepower, and Trailblaze

Those downsides, for people who don't know, are 95% Accuracy and crash damage should the move miss. Still, this move is better than Wild Charge due to not only having higher power, but also it has only "5% chance" to cause "recoil" instead of 100% chance; that "recoil" is much bigger, yes, but the chances are pretty low, so you can risk it

I’m gonna lose my mind from laughter. My sister’s not one to make things harder on herself so she’s been going through the dlc with her level 100’s so drayton’s trial is gonna be hell for her

Hey Mikey, as a heads up in case you haven’t tried it yet, pokemon caught in the Tera raids are also excluded from the trial (I.E. your Rhyperior and Metang). I tried this trial with an Electivire and Kingdra that I caught in raids and wasn’t able to proceed until I swapped them out.

I had a weakness policy suicune and a meowscarada out against Kieran’s hydrapple, and the meowscarada survived on friendship… THREE DIFFERENT TIMES!!! I ended up saying “what the heck” and launched a helping hand flower trick into that spot, winning me the match.

I used Archaludon on my playthrough. She helped out a lot! I caught her as a Fighting Terastal Duraludon. I taught her Body Press. Gave her the Assault Vest too.

I managed to hunt two shinies. They were both females, and I was looking for a male, but I didn't want to waste any more time. So now I have a shiny level 100 Archaludon and she is amazing. I'm going to trade the other one on GTS.

Just did drayton’s challenge and you don’t have to use the Pokémon you used for his challenge as he gives you the option to go change your team back so don’t worry Mikey

Archteladon is the humongous threat now and I love him

Reuniclus getting rid of its own spore immunity, and a ton of other funny moments...just loving this playthrough.

I've watched a guy who's first encounter was a shiny lechonk. He then proceeded to find a shiny misdreavus later.

Mikey saying that the X thing Lacey does in cringe but I think it’s adorable it’s just a precious little quirk

I'm just now realizing they put the entire school underwater to avoid having to render the environment around the school....

I love how aggressively Mikey leans back when he finds something particularly funny

I love what happens when you send out the ogre during your fight with Kieran. He gets so mad

Yay part 2 I've been having a lot of fun also glad I wasn't the only one who picked the 2nd option when talking to Drayton at the beginning

Electro Shot is an AMAZING move. Partner it with a Rain Dance mon and get to steamrolling!

Archaludon is very slow (+ bad sp.def) so putting it in a rain team is better for electro shot... Otherwise you are probably going to die before getting a chance to attack 😢😢

If you’re really wanting to find a shiny in one of these story playthroughs, just take your time wandering. I literally found three of them without even trying.

I love this DLC!

Dreyton is painful to fight. Enjoy (also, yes you may use outside pokemon in the actual fight with him, like Dipplin and Infernape)

“Is Joltik the cutest Bug Pokémon?” IMO no. It is very cute but the cutest Bug type to me is Ribombee.

I felt so bad just waiting for your realization when I saw you prepping your team for Drayton, thinking, "Oh no... he's gonna have to go catch new mons after he's spent time putting a team together from his box." Oh well, you'll be able to use them against the other 3 Elite 4 battles.

You only have to use a different team against the 3 trainers. If you change your team inbetween you CAN battle him with the old team

I love Vulpix and was devastated to realize that Violet is effectively the "Moon" version for the DLC. Makes sense, given the matching purple colour schemes... oh well, at least I get Lunala!

When he said “I’m not sure electro shot is a great move” about archaludon, I find it funny how electro shot is used on basically every archaludon set in vgc particularly when paired with the rain or power herb 😂

Man, Drayton was a fun character with a sick battle. I like dragon types a lot and did a Dragon v Dragon battle, and I won with 4 down. Beat Lacey with my dragons too with only my shiny Kommo-o named Kami left. Also NO, You can use any team members you want against Drayton. Good luck Mikey!

Mild Spoiler: Cheat cheat for the first Kieran fight: have a storm drain pokemon on the field from the start. Let his frog live and let him spam his weather ball. You'll be plus 6 special attack in no time.

This is BY FAR the funniest dialogue in a pokemon game

I got a shiny pikipek before even attending that first class. What’s funny is that i was battling a toucannon for a long time as it was really hard to catch, and the whole time i saw a pikipek standing around looking at the battle and i thought: Yeah, i’ll catch you after this. And after like 5 minutes of throwing ultraballs i caught the toucannon and the pikipek was shiny. Really caught me off guard. Edit: And now i got a shiny cranidos

It may just be the lighting and the fact that I'm watching on a smaller screen, but I'm pretty sure the Magnemite Mikey passed at 13:48 to encounter the Excadrill was shiny. I could be wrong though...

I think the very first game where Joltik bounced was PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond.

Gen 2 gave prior gen Pokemon evolutions and pre evolutions “that is why, it’s the GOAT!”.

Just finished the main story last night. I used the following team: - Zenitsu (Zebstrika) - Bifröst (Archaludon) - LeadPaint#40 (Alolan Muk) - SteamPunkSam (Flygon) - Dexter (Reuniclus) - Virgil (Hisuian Typhlosion) I gotta say, using Tera Fighting Archaludon with its Stamina ability is incredible. Investing in Defense and HP makes him a tank, which you can then destroy teams with Body Press after only taking a few hits. Plus holding Leftovers makes him even bigger wall.

I just spammed ogrepon and goldengho into every battle and swept through everyone. Then i found a shiny duraludon and evolved it and now he is my main mon. His shiny is absolutely amazing

I seriously wasn't expecting Archaludon's BST of 600! I'm so happy I decided to train one. I managed to hunt two shiny female Duraludon and one of them is now the newest member of my team. She was a massive part of my playthrough, because she was the only new Pokémon I used.

Ironic how Drayton, the professional slacker, makes you do the most work for his challenge

Hey, Mike! Not a spoiler, just something to tell you about Inkay's evolution. According to what I read online, in order to evolve Inkay, you have to hold the Switch upside down before you use Exp. Candies or Rare Candies to level it up. I don't know why that's a thing, but it is now. Good luck in the search for Inkay!
