Work on restoring the church tower led to a number of interesting discoveries. Architectural historian Carl Lounsbury with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation discusses these new findings in this short film.

oh how cool it would be to be able to dial up a specific time in history and be able to watch what happened that day, maybe someday.
Amazing how similar this church is to the churches still standing in the Netherlands today.
I see Flemish Bond.
There a older church in Hong stone England, built exactly like this Church, in great shape
Whatever happened to the idea of rebuilding the entire top section of the tower, back to its original form, size, and like-new condition? You're already reconstructing using authentic bricks and mortar, so why not go that extra step, and put the tower back to like-new condition? Why only stabilize an archaeological ruin? If the current condition and stability of the tower walls will permit it, why stop halfway? Why not complete the job? (I'm a direct descendant of several "Ancient Planter" Jamestown Colonists, so I feel I have some grounds for asking this.)
This was built by Englishmen.....quality brickwork!
My Y-DNA results put my family in colonial Surrey County, Virginia. I would love to visit the area one day….
I have artifacts. How can I date them. Lots of effigies. Delaware River pennsville new Jersey.
So how is it u don't acknowledge the 6panel door is an intentional crucifix, a foolish man who thinks he's the expert. remember the instruction to always pursue knowledge and wisdom , with the latter being the greater !
