Think cupcakes are overrated but no one can overate Caitlyn

If only people can see past Caitlyn being Vi's love interest or stereotype her as just being a goody two shoes and see her as an actual character with motivations and goals of her own. She too has troubles, she is also repressed and ridiculed for "not falling to a career more befitting of her station" but people fail to see that, she's never had anyone genuinely support her on what she wants to do, what her heart desires. She is someone that is privileged, could have lived her life as an heiress just casually showing off or treating everyone that she is above them, but no she decided to actually take action, go out of the comforts of her upbringing and actually see the world for herself. I see Caitlyn as the hope that could bring change in the corrupt system of Piltover and Zaun, someone who can and will fight for the people who are treated with injustice, someone who can speak on their behalf, tell the truth and wont excuse the actions of people of power. I really don't see why people don't appreciate Caitlyn much, I could go on with how much she also has depth into her character. Begs the question, do people really see everything that Caitlyn is shooting for?

Agree with this 100%. Like don't get me wrong I love CaitVi, but most of their shippers, only really care about Vi or/and only like the ship because of Vi which disappoints me a lot. I've also seen so many people hate on Caitlyn because they can't see past her being a 'goody two shoes.'

Caitlyn is innocent but brave. Privileged but humbled. Condemned but is so caring. She’s down to earth. She has strong morals. Doesn’t judge, sees past your mistakes, forgiving and kind. She has a heart of gold. She’s a gem. I’m in love with her.

3:35 bless Cait even if she was surrounded by royalty growing up she had the decency to hug him as he’s seen as lower class to topside. I love Cait’s character as it’s well thought out. She’s loving, caring and capable to take on anything that comes in her way to protect the ones she loves especially when she’s protective of Vi.

You can't deny the fact that Caitlyn looked at Vi's lips , not to mention Vi did too when Caitlyn had given her the medicine And not to mention the shower scene Vi had said that oil and water dont mix and Cait kept on playing that over and over in her head then she noticed that her blood and the water was mixing and she did a little head shake and that means that cait thought even though two things can be very different like blood and water , that doesnt mean that it cant mix so cait isnt giving up on them *sniff sniff

i really like that scene where Caitlyn has the machine gun trained on Jinx, glancing at Vi for a moment who pleads for her not to shoot, and Caitlyn hesitates to shoot Jinx, kind of reflects the voice line she has in the game where she said to Jinx(after killing Jinx lmao): "Perhaps Piltover can rest easy without you, Jinx. But Vi...", she's conflicted between her duty to Piltover and Vi

And it also calls back to Vi telling Caitlyn's her parents were killed by enforcers So, will another enforcer take Vi's sister? Or does she decide that the bloodshed has to stop somewhere?

there has to be a very specific craftsmanship to take the scenes that most people use for the couple of vi and caitlyn, and turn them to be all about caitlyn's character. this was wonderful.

I really appreciated the cut from Caitlyn pulling the gun on Jinx to the Progress Day explosion and the Funeral It reminds you that, as much as we want to see Jinx redeemed, she's also a violent terrorist - She has killed a LOT of people, and that's not something that can just be brushed aside and forgotten People will say "Vi could have gotten Powder back if Caitlyn hadn't ruined it", but I think Cait's actions are completely justified That's what makes Arcane so good: There are no easy answers

Yeah, I feel there was a calcul going on in Caitlyn's head. Jinx killed a lot of people and will kill even more. Vi already lost her parents because of enforcers, can Cailtyn pull the trigger on her sister? And, the most important to me, Caitlyn is fondamentaly a good person. Could she just gun down Jinx?

@@Kaosi I love how nearly all the media outside the game has enforced the fact that Caitlyn doesn't Shoot to Kill It's demonstrated beautifully when she saves Vi from Sevika It's extremely well-established at that point that Caitlyn is an expert marksman and would never miss a clear shot - If she wanted to kill Sevika, she could have done so easily But that's not why she shoots Like Mel, she refuses to Kill One to Save the Many Cait could have ultimately pulled the trigger and killed Jinx, but I think it would've broken her to some degree

@@Kaosi I know im late to comment, but I think if it wasn't for her potential lover practically begging her not to shoot her sister then Caitlyn would of.. her motive as a cop would be to protect everyone and in that scene there wasn't any winners, Jinx managed to start what I assume will be an all out war between top side and bottom side as well as probably murdering mommy Kiramann... A great thing to have happen while still fleshing out Vi and hers relationship.

@@AuraSight Caitlyn wasn't using her own rifle though, Jinx's mini vulcan is quite literally to rip and tear through its target without any care of where the bullets actually land, so in that case Caitlyn took up that weapon to try and protect Vi from her sister, and not much else, she may have very well have conceded on her morals just to protect the woman she loves.

I love it. The music blends so wonderfully with the video and creates its own atmosphere. Caitlin's special theme that suits her. And I adore it. She's a black sheep, a "broken" cog in the perfect system and this will help her make a difference. And I love that so much about her character. Because she could shut herself off from the horror of the real world, have lived a rich life and never needed anything, but she chose her way, she went down to the Under City and saw all its filth and didn't turn away. She could despise Vi like everyone else. She could have been disgusted by that sick man with the glasses. But she was better than this crap at every moment. She has a large and kind heart capable of sympathy and a desire for justice. And most importantly, she had the balls not only to admit the problems in the Under City, but to speak out loud about them to their faces. While everyone else knew about it and cowardly hid their eyes as if it did not concern them. And I hope that she and Vi will still continue to explore Zaun and she will teach her some tricks and show her many interesting things. The other side of the Lines, where there is also room for beauty. Like the Firelights bugs, for example. P.S. I am writing this with the help of a translator, so forgive me for my mistakes and hello from Russia ;)

As soon as I saw her and then the whole thing with Vi, shes absolutely my favorite plus shes badass ❤🔥 Plus she's just so damn hot!

Feel bad for Caitlyn. I feel like there's a lot of expectation put on her from others just because her mom's one of the council members. That too can get in the way with what you want and what you're fighting for. Then she learns about the "real world" and what the people of the undercity have to go through yet she still maintains to keep calm and not let her emotions get the best of her. I hope S2 focuses on her character more, vi as well

i've never played any league-releated game before and don't know much about the lore, but the moment i saw her, i already liked her, and seeing her awesome shooting skills and how determined she is to do good, i fell for her even more. i really hope season 2 gives us more caitlyn, like her handling her duties being piltover's new sheriff and her insane shooting (and hopefully also more interactions between her and vi because these 2 really tugged on my heartstrings)

How can someone just be so… good?? Like the way she gets triggered with the “chats” thing, the way she hugs someone that’s supposed to be under her, and the way she just cares???

3:40 at that moment I started to love Caitlyn, I mean, someone like her who has been raised with all the "privileges" can treat someone who has fallen so low as her equal, damn she's so nice. Btw I am not an english speaker but I've noticed that Caitlyn has an "accent" when she speaks, or a different way than the other characters in the way she pronounces the words. Love this work! Caitlyn became my favourite character, really like her backstory. It would have been so easy with her family's wealth to just live a life of luxury, so it says a lot about the kind of person she is, that she wants to make a difference. 3:35 was a really sweet scene that says a lot about her. Am hoping she has a big role in S2 and develops her relationship with Vi (I never followed the game, so don't know who's a main character and who isn't, but really hoping Caitlyn stays a major character and also stays together with Vi).

Cait honestly reminds me a lot of Princess Diana. Came from very privileged circumstances but had her own struggles and judgements passed on her. Heart of gold and a genuine desire to do good by others. A real desire to serve in her position. Not held back by the expectations put on her. Unabashedly herself. A true gem.

I absolutely adore Caitlyn. Her character is so well-developed, and is amazing on her own, just as much as it is with Vi. That's hard to do, to make a character great by themselves, and even greater with someone else. I do ship Vi x Caitlyn, because they are so perfect for each other, but I've never seen Cait as just a filler or love interest (unlike in LoL where she is bland and mostly eye-candy). Caitlyn is one of my favourite characters, she gets beaten down a lot in Arcane, by her fellow enforcers, saying she should be at a cocktail party and when Jayce/Markus tell her she's not going to make the life of an Enforcer work and that she should be like her parents. She's such an amazing character, nice save, Riot.

i loved every second of this, its so well done and it really shows the best of Caitlyns character ❤

Absolutely gorgeous. And a great sense of timing - I love how the scene with Grayson is cut up into many parts, and as a viewer who has seen the scene, there's a palpable sense of anticipation for when the "What are you shooting for?" line is used. Then when it comes, even though we've been waiting for it and we KNOW it's coming, it doesn't disappoint.

I really hope we get more of her back story in season 2 because I feel like there is a lot more to her character than the show has given us so far. I feel like she has a lot more depth and I need more of her in the next season.

Yeah, for instance we don't see the immediate fallout after she's at the apartment explosion do we? Like we see later Jayce being questioned by enforcers at the scene of the crime. and then there's a voice over line from her parents saying that he "nearly blew up our daughter". I feel like she may have sustained some kind of injury? Or that would have affected her in some way, initially. Plus, one of the show writers, Amanda Overton, hinted in a tweet answering a fan question that Caitlyn "doesn't yet" know that Vi and Powder were the culprits behind the explosion -- implying to some that it may come up later in season 2 All in all, I can't wait

3:39 literally makes me cry every freaking time. And I’ve watched that scene 80 times. He’s so ashamed of himself bc he let himself go he won’t even see her in person. Can you imagine

I swear to god if they kill her off to further Vi's plot or character arc I'm going to be so, so fucking devastated. I'm just BEGGING for them to have a happy ending.

This editing is so, so, well done. I fucking love Caitlyn, she definitely needs more screentime in the next season because her character development need more time and expositions, but damn you did such a great job with this. Putting all together in an order that fit so much what her character is. Someone fighting for her place in the world, to find purpose. So good.

Thank you! There is multiple methods, but the most easy is that you have to find a video that has sound in 5.1 (aka the sound is separated in 6 channels : left, right, center, etc) and most of the time the voices are only in the center channel (so you can mute / delete the others)
