ArCAKEology: Stratigraphy...in a cake!
Archaeological stratigraphy has some similarity with the layers of a cake in which sugar icing, sponge cake, cream, chocolate and puff pastry are stratified. And like a cake, the archaeological excavation is also handmade, and only by means of tools. For all tools, one above all, the Trowel, there is a technique, made up of the set of practical actions and rules that regulate their use. As with all craftsmen, also for the archaeologist, the technique can only be acquired empirically, as it is formulated and transmitted by tradition on the field. But the technique is only a means of achieving the first goal on the excavation: that of identifying stratigraphic units. So, to make fun of us, we thought of exercising the "field", identifying the SU of a cake to reconstruct the matrix.

@@nicolasceballos3631 No, you aren't finding the right option. You must click the CC icon or small lines. Then the gear icon immediately on the right and select subtitles then auto-translate and then the language you prefer!
