Oh, I fall in love with this game's OST. It takes me back down memory lane, and what a beautiful trip it is!!!

If this isn't my favourite longplay on the WoL site it's certainly in the top five. the great soundtrack and crazy mock Japlish captions are a blast.

These boss warnings are almost as glorious as the Boss Advice ones from Radiant Silvergun.

The beginning of the Stage 1 is amazing

If Brawshella (the final boss) was super powerful as a baby, imagine how powerful he would be if he was an adult.

Although this game is quite old but it's very well made. Beautiful and detailed 3d background, nice character design. That makes this game great.

I agreed that boss 6 is Humongous, even the warning thing stated how big it is.

Huh, this was released the same year as Parasite Eve, another game where the last bosses was a pregnant monster, followed by the baby, followed by the baby turning into an adult, all to the tune of a choir song. I kept hearing the voice say, "Boner!" That is quite the Engrish ending! You didn't see too many of those by the late 90s.

So yeah... am i the only one here think that this game deserves anime :3 ?

The second level/boss reminds me of Gunstar Heroes. I was surprised Treasure didn't make this. It has their signature charm.

Blazing star is my favorite game of snk neo-geo!!.

Stage 5 it's amazing, i love it

it's a multiplying factor providing x2, X4, etc up to x128 points for each enemy destroyed. The more you avoid them, the more strong is the multiplicator.

I love direct Japanese-to-English grammar

Worldly experienced...i enjoyed the sophistication.

***** tecnosoft was like a private company to begin with so obviously it doesnt hav much budget compare to neogeo where arcades are the thing for people to go crazy on the money. Even if blazing star and others hav better rendering but thunder force is and still the coolest game at the time. Plus this is an made for arcade machine and TF is console so there is different attempts on what they made for.

i was saying that tf5 was a disappointing game, especially compared to the genesis series. even if the prerendered visuals were the same quality (not as good as blazing star), they still could have made a sequel worthy of following tf3 and 4

Thunder force 4 is way better than 5.. my favourite 2 games of all time, blazing star and thunder force 4..

One question to ScHlAuChi, if I may. It occured to me, that in your longplays (great ones BTW), you seem to choose the characters, who has... how to put it... most... "vanilla feel" (like e.g. Fighter for Dungeons & Dragons Arcade games) to it. Of course, I don't think this is bad. I'm just curious, do you choose them, for gameplay convenience (these characters tend to be, in most cases, the best), or do you want to show "default gaming experience" to viewers? Or, maybe, there is another reason?

I think they give you temporary immunity to enemy fire. Or maybe just the lowest form. It definitely doesn't protect against enemy ships, the ground or bosses.

How do you get the Lucky "Y" panel at the 3:rd stage? Spent tons on money on this game back in 1998 and never managed to get that "Y", and you did´nt either. Is it a bug?
