This is an awesome deck, Araumi is most definitely one of my favorite commanders from this set

@Briggs Francisco this is one of those awkward moments when I can’t tell if something is a joke or not

Just found your video. I think my favorite thing about this commander is that it actually scales based on how many opponents you have. I've been looking for a commander that allowed me to still feel strong in a 1v1 game when I can't get a pod of 3 or 4 going. But of course araumi is really really good when you do have 3 opponents. I also love the budget-ish deck tech too, it's really nice.

Sundial of the infinite is very good in this deck!

I wish that I had an Orb and an Oracle now... I have the final parting, dread return, tumbling sands, and perplex to find her. I have other untappers, but they're Clever conjurer and Nimbleclaw Adept

i feel like you guys have a similar commander taste to mine. obeka and araumi are the two i'm the most excited to build and you released a video for both :) butcher of malakir though really expensive could be nice too, one-sided boardwipe problably when encored and having it on the field would also be nice with 3 sac triggers per turn. also tribute mage can get sundial of the infinite which could also be cool

Nice video. Lot of cool tech I haven't seen elsewhere. I might reccomend Rings of Brighthearth. Pretty sure it gives you double tokens.

I’m a huge fan of the inclusion of Tomebound Lich, which I have yet to see in any other deck lists. Is it OP? No. Is it a VERY cheap card that can illicit lots of utility? Definitely.

I'm using araumi in my Obeka, Brute Chronologist deck. Encore, then on sack trigger I tap Obeka to end turn and keep the copies

You wouldn’t even need Dread Return to get Thassa’s Oracle into play - you could just untap Araumi with one of the Fatestitchers and encore it out.

phyrexian triniform, sundial of the infinite, and stitcher's supplier are good cards that combo well with Araumi.

I'd actually run a bit more interaction in this deck, if only because it is REALLY vulnerable to graveyard hate. If an opponent plays a Rest in Peace and you don't have a counterspell ready, you're kinda just out of the game. Also, I'd consider trying to fit Stitcher's Supplier into the deck. It's a one mana creature that can mill you for 18 if you encore it.

Bojuka bog sucks 😔

I made a deck with Araumi when it came out, at first people were like mehhh its a 50 cent card, cant be that good. Then I had an encore Massacre Wurm that won me the game on the spot, opponents losing 6 life for each creature

grave titan would be insane in this deck lol

I hope that was sarcasm when you said a card you want in your yard with cycling wasn't a relevant ability. Stares in mimeoplasm

I feel like this is missing Mirror of Fate to break the exile effect on Araumi.

ravenous chupacabra is a great card to add to this deck, destroying an annoying creature of your oponents

i run a list similar to this and am considering the thoracle orb combo but i can't decide if it's worth it to include. if you mill mesmeric orb it's over for the combo. your list has no artifact recursion. then i thought about adding archaeomender but then the combo would take up a total of 5 cards in the deck. not to mention adding an extra turn just to araumi the archaeomender if you mill that as well. like you said it's not the best combo but i hardly see the point of such a high committal and volatile "win con". maybe I'll try it out anyways. thanks for the awesome video nonetheless!!

Inside of the commander legends set, it definitely is an uncommon. But outside of commander legends it’s awesome.

I think you can up the power level without breaking the bank. Your low to the ground on CMC, so I think being able to abuse the mana you get from certain creatures by being able to cast larger threats is a way to win the game. As the game progresses you should be able to put value your opponents.

I would run Gray mercgant and Misthollow Griffen. Also Mulldrifter good way to draw some cards

what does misthollow griffin do for you?

So with mana, how many of each basic did you decide to put into deck? Equal amounts

Was there a Gary? If not it needs to go in there. Encore it and you get X=7 from araumi and the garys at minimum, which is 21 damage to everyone and 63 life gain for you.

Sticher's Supplier?

Apheto Alchemist works aswell for your combo

Myriad creatures give 3 copies EACH when encored. Just a note haha

Gray merchant, kokusho, and wurmcoil engine ?

He was aiming for that budget build, but I totally agree. Those are worthy upgrades!

In a four player game: Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign gives you 9 piles of 4 cards. Ashen-Skin Zubera makes an opponent discard 9 cards. halimar excavator mills 27 cards. Ayara, First of Locthwain/Zulaport Cutthroat drain each opponent 9 life. Both are great to have in play too.

Encoring Floating-Dream Zubera gives you 3 death triggers eot. That means the first one you sac you get one card. The 2nd is two cards and the 3rd is 3 cards. Not 3 cards each. But if you have a sac outlet and hold priority and sac all 3 then you will get 9 cards.

I'm pretty sure the way the encore ability is worded, they all die simultaneously as part of the same triggered ability, so you should get 3 draws from each.

I think due to the way the card is worded sadly nothing occurs with the death effect because it's not a death trigger, it's an enter the graveyard trigger. Nothing is entering the graveyard, just cards being exiled and token "copies" dying

Does anyone know the ruling on encoring a legendary creature if you have more than one opponent. Would you still have to sacrifice the copies once they hit the field. Thanks!

Yep, they’d still be under the legend rule so you’d have to sacrifice all but 1 when they hit the battlefield. Which can be a good thing for some (Kokusho for instance) and bad for others (legendaries with attack triggers or activated abilities) - Peter

does evoke work with encore? aka mulldrifter?

Hello! Most evoke cards care about leaving the battlefield, so yes, Encore works with things like Mulldrifter. Evoke is just an alternate cost that makes it go to the graveyard immediately; when you Encore something with Evoke, it will stick around like any other creature you Encore until you sacrifice it. - Peter

Edit: look at replies, I was wrong. Explained below. This is a bit too late, but I am certain you will not get 9 cards from the Zubera. 3 Sacrifice triggers go onto the stack, one resolves and a zubera dies. You would receive priority, but before that happens, its own ability goes onto stack, with 2 death triggers beneath it. Since 1 Zubera has died that turn, you draw just 1 card. The next Zubera draws 2, then the third one draws 3. You can, however, cheat this by having a sac outlet, sacrificing all 3 Zuberas in response to the previous Zubera's trigger, and thus having all 3 dead when the triggers resolve, drawing 9 cards.

It matters whether or not all of the Zuberas die simultaneously. You’re right that if you sacrifice them to a sac outlet then they’ll happen in order. However, with Encore, all of the sacrifices happen at the same time at the end step, so they can see all of the others die at once and you draw 9. It’s confusing, but I can assure you that if they are alive at the end of the turn they were encored, they are sacrificed simultaneously and you draw 9 cards. - Peter

I wanted to disagree at first, but I read it again and see that I read the ability wrong - I thought all the tokens had the ability on themselves, but the sacrifice is part of Encore and not the tokens, therefore there is only a single trigger and you are certainly right :) Well, that's only better. Not for the opponents though.

dream zubera wouldn't work you need to put it into a graveyard and tokens arent put in the grave yard so the tokens wouldn't get the effect.

When tokens die they go to the graveyard and THEN they are removed from the game as a state-based action, so they will trigger. This is why you can equip X/1 tokens with Skullclamp and you still get to draw the cards.
