    Thank you for letting me know I did bring them up higher once I adjusted it. They sit right below my collar bone now. Was just super excited to throw them on when they arrived!

    @@jacobporter9442 yeah man it was my first vest never would I think I would be able to afford armor til I found tacticon and now I’m trying to get a set for the whole family. Felt like Christmas morning putting it together and trying it on. I had an army ranger help me with mine so I trust it’s right 😅

    @@samrivera4736 dude I run 10+mags of that a range trip and only 2 or 3 of 556 just to stay familiar with the recoil. It's a no brainier the cost savings is incredible I also have the cmg conversion kits for my other guns.

    @@samrivera4736 I run 10+ mags of 22 every range trip and only 2-3 of 556 just to stay familiar with the recoil the coat savings is crazy. I also run a Taurus tx22 for most the drills then I use my s&w SVD. I always go 22 for muscle memory and technique then full power to stay honest lol

    This is definitely on the smaller side of their vests. My younger brother is about the same size as you and has trained with this vest and it fit him perfect. It is on the heavier side with the plates though so just get ready to feel that weight. Buy some shoulder pads they make a huge difference.

    So i know i might sound stupid. But i have the same set up as you. But i dont have molles on my stomach like you to put my magazine pouches on. So i dont know if i need to buy something to put my molle pouches on. Because when i strap on my vest. Its just all velcro on mu stomach. So idk if i just have it on wrong or something

    I don’t know either brother my guess is that on the bigger rounds that have a recoil on the plate is to stop bruising from the impact? Not this brother you’d have to upgrade to the next plate up which when bundled they sell it for $250 I believe

    Even if the bullet doesn't penetrate, the force applied to the front will be transfered to the back of the plate(and into your chest). Trauma pad absorbs that impact. Yes, the force can be enough to kill you even without penetration. With steel plates, you should always run trauma pad and anti-spall

    Yes they make batch videos of your steel plates which all have a serial number in the back you can see multiple shots being fired at them.

    This is the battle vest lite brother. The v2 is normally 79.95 and this vest alone is 112.44 when not on sale but it’s best to get the bundle saves you money.

    Definitely doesn’t feel cheap at all. The Velcro and everything feels nice and firm and doesn’t come apart when removing or putting it back on. It’s my first vest so I can’t really compare it to others. But I get nothing but compliments on it and when I was at the range everything worked flawlessly while training/plinking.

    @@samrivera4736 mostly barrel length. When it started going down to 11-10 inches it did not penetrate.. so velocity is definitely a factor for that caliber...

    Definitely feel them on you. First time I took them off I could feel my shoulders aching. After having them on again for hours at the range and some good shoulder pads. I can barely feel them now.

    @@samrivera4736 Duritium plates, 100%. Steel is better than nothing but I wouldn't even want to be near someone wearing steel because of the shrapnel it creates when hit. Walking accident waiting to happen. Look into level IV Duritium plates ($400-$900 per plate) and id look to spend around 250-350 on a good enough quality carrier that offers side plate support. Just my 2¢. Very expensive but very durable and highly effective.

    They have a slot inside the vest secured by Velcro probably half the length of the armor so they’re definitely not going anywhere.
