There's a lot of negative nancy's surrounding Radical Firearms due to their old QC issues. They're a much newer company, I believe founded in 2011 if I'm not mistaken. I bought one of their RF-15s and my god, it really is great. EVERYTHING IS MADE IN HOUSE! That's a huge bonus, it's made in Texas, it's affordable and reliable, it's just great. It's nothing fancy, it may not be the flashiest but it will land your rounds where you put them. I've read 'horror' stories about Radical guns, but honestly, I've not had an issue, nor my family that also have the rifle. It's a simple, reliable, good looking, accurate AR. It's no Daniel Defense in terms of 'premium' quality but I 100% recommend it. It's got a removable A2 hider, so it's not pinned. Mid length gas block/system which I personally believe is the best, pretty lightweight, and easy as hell to work on. It does seem to be one of those 'too good to be true' things, but Radical actually wants to arm legal Americans and not just pocket a bunch of cash. They didn't cheap out on important components, they didn't do anything to make the rifle less than reliable or accurate. They're a true 'for the people' company that isn't trying to have deep pockets.

I picked one up a few months ago and I have to admit that I wanted to find something wrong with it because of the price. The RF-15 simply put is a solid and well built rifle and you can’t go wrong with it if you are looking for a reliable duty rifle. Pretty darn accurate and gets the job done, and for sure would recommend the RF brand 🇺🇸.

Thank you for watching!!! Yes I agree with you 100%. I am on way to the range when the sun rises to put a few more rounds through it. I’ve been trying different ammunitions and so far it eats everything I feed it.

I built a 300 blackout upper with a Radical Firearms Barrel I got on sale for like 90 bucks. The rifling is beautiful, It has a dimple to keep your gas block in place, and its damn accurate with my Dad's reloads. Really happy with it so far. Probably really hard to screw up a simple nitride barrel though.

I bought one a few months ago and got about 500 rounds through it already and it works without any issue. I've seen older reviews and comments talking about poor quality control, but the vast majority of newer reviews within the last year and a half to 2 years have been positive, so RF has been listening to customer feedback which is always a good sign in a company.

I’ve owned three. Never had any issues. Currently have one set up nicely. Really like the rifle! I sell a lot of them and don’t get any come back for reliability issues.

I have the exact same rifle. I am extremely pleased & after about 300 rounds the accuracy is coming in nicely. Far exceeded my expectations & I will buy 2 more.

I had one and for the money they are accurate and a simple but fairly nice gun.

Purchased 1 last week. Honestly @ 100yrds shooting 7/8" groups with cheap ammo. Very pleased.

Just got my Radical RF15 in 7.62x39... once the snow clears from our club's range, I'll be out to try it. $508 delivered. Put a Romeo5 red dot on mine. Our heavily-wooded area precludes shots beyond about 75-100 yards.

I brought my 7.62 ar15 from gunprime for 480 which is a radical firearm, can’t wait to shoot it I’m supposed to pick it up today

I bought mine last week, took it out twice. Despite free float barrel, the stiff 7.4 pound trigger adversely affects accuracy. I shoot tighter groups with my old Bushmaster Patrolman that's trigger is over a pound lighter. I'll have to get a drop-in trigger.

This is what I hear is a thing about these model ARs. I've heard many good reports of putting lighter aftermarket triggers in them

They're selling one now with B5 stock / grip for 399 at grabagun. So tempting. I was set on a iwi zion 15 but I could get two Radicals for that. Worth it if it's twice as good but the reviews for the one I mention are through the roof

Bear creek arsonal has so.e nice rifles that are inexpensive. As of today 6/9/2022 they have a sale on a couple AR 15's . The one I looked at was a 7.62x39 full rifle for 359$. I own 2 bca full rifles a 16 inch wylde and a 20 inch .308 i bought both full rifles for 1.008 $ and they both run awsome.

You can do manipulation drills at home without shooting that high dollar ammo. Put a target on the wall and practice trigger discipline, get used to the feel of the way the trigger breaks and resets. Yes shooting live ammo is great but when you can't get to the range that us some practice you can do.

bought this same gun came with the metal mag and literally shot the first shot bottom fell off the magazine along with all my ammo so definitely spend the extra for a better mag.

Honestly when people see budget stuff there are mixed reviews and you have to convince yourself to get it. I’ve been doing research and I’ve heard nothing but good news and people impressed. Even the gun shop said a lot of people like them. I got my eye on one for $440 the radical website says it’s $700 for the same model.

I have a RF upper on a Psa lower. Runs like a truck.

It's an AR-15, of course, it is reliable, and that is by design. What matters is the rifle's ability not to have major part breakages after so many rounds. Will the gas system rotate? Will the buffer tube twist off? Is the barrel extension clocked wrong and causing undue wear?

Try a 955 hi point carbine 350$ less recoil then a 22lr. Also you can put a 22LR conversion in that AR 15 if it's the 556 with just a switch of the bolt and a 22LR clip to fit the AR. and shoot super cheap

i’m not a huge gun nut....i only have a moderate interest in them so i was looking for something fun and affordable but not necessarily “cheap” and just so happens this very firearm is on sale right now. i think i’m gonna make the plunge after watching this

So far I have not had any problems with any bulk ammo or even steel ammo. I have not had to use their customer service for any problems, but I have heard they stand behind their fire arms.

Veteran owned and operated is why I jumped on them

Won a bid on one of these on gunbroker for $513 after taxes and fees and all. I get it on 09/10 from my ffl and when checking it out when I signed my paperwork for it, I was soooo stoked. They retail on their site for $700+ so for $200 less i got even more jacked

If you really want to make this gun last personally I’d buy a Sons of Liberty Gun works lower parts kit with nickel Teflon trigger ($97). Change out all the trash MIM parts with quality REAL mil spec quality. Second get you a Sons of Liberty Gun works BCG (around $170). If you want a quality knock off SOLGW bcg PSA sells one made by microbest called the premium freedom bcg for $99 it’s a damn good quality bcg made by microbest who makes most companies oem bcg. Also I’d grab an H buffer. Personally I like the Geissele super 42 that comes with the braided spring and h buffer($70). That’s about $300 to turn a budget gun into a fighting rifle that will last a lifetime. I just did these exact upgrades to one of my 16” mid length PSA rifles. It feels like a different gun now on the same level as my BCM or SOLGW guns. I ordered all my stuff from Big Tex Ordnance. If you really want to get bougie you can also change out the barrel for something mid tier like ballistic advantage or rosco. I haven’t gone that far yet because I don’t feel the need to yet considering I have other guns with quality barrels.

to answer your question why is it cheap. Lots of reasons. A big one is it is assembled in texas a very low tax non union state. Another big reason is the materials and components used. As stated below the use mim parts where they can. A real big thing now is mim bolt extractors. Other companies ,do not know about radical, will substitute 6061 reciever extensions instead of the spec'd 7071. Or 9310 instead of c158. The biggest reason though is they don't have to source from mil contractors exclusively and they don't have to do mil spec q/c. Proof testing and mpi add cost. Checking every 10th part instead of every 100th part adds cost. Not pinning the gas block saves money. You might think with everything i listed i was about to trash talk your purchase. To the contrary i think radical provides a good product at a great price. It's a commercial rifle not a mil one. and there is nothing wrong with that. i think you will really like having an x39 upper. I built one with a faxon barrel. I'm neutral on bear creek. Just do a bunch of research first. the big thing with those is magazines and the firing pin. if they throw in a 556 pin you don't get 100% ignition on combloc ammo. An x39 firing pin has a slightly narrower shoulder that makes the pin protrude from the bolt face a little bit more.

First of all thank you very much for watching the video. Second I agree with everything you stated above 100% as I have been doing a ton of research on the company/rifle. I intend to use it casually at the range but I think for what I’m going to use it for it is working perfect I am getting close to 1000 rounds and so far I haven’t had any problems outside of stripping my scope mount screws because of a bad torque wrench 😂. As far as the rifle it has been a fun shooter. I added a 3-9x40 zeroed in at 100 yards and a 45 degree offset for the red dot zeroed in at 25 yards, using some parts from other rifles I have.I think it is a solid rifle for those who don’t want to break the bank. I will look into all the advice you gave above. I was just looking for a back up firing pin. I can’t thank you enough for the honest comment and solid advice!!!

Sweet deal you'll be glad you bought that rifle and the wife will be also. AR 15 the perfect home defense weapon.

@@2wheelsonly614 nah so many .y neighbors have big caliber rifles and guess what nobody has shot a neighbor yet. Meanwhile in the city countless neighbors have been accidently shot with pistols so the caliber isn't the problem.

I'm kicking myself for not picking up a S&W M&P Sport a few years back when they were like $550. now they're like $800. I just can't decide if I want the radical. same price you paid.$450. my question is, considering you mentioned your other gun, in your honest opinion is the S&W a "better" gun. in other words is it worth spending a little more for a time tested gun like the m&p sport.

In today’s market with today’s prices if I had to choose one of the other I would definitely go with the radical considering the only thing I think it really needs is a heavier buffer.

Is the rf16 the same as the fr16 and does it have a safety on both sides or is it where you can just move it to the side you want it on? Just got a fr16 and I'm trying to figure it out says it's ambi and showed safety on both sides on web pick but came in at ffl with switch only on one side idk

I bought this in 2022. My first AR. I was surprised when I mag dumped it and it didn’t jam. I wish I knew what would be good to upgrade on this gun.

I had mbus sights on but ended up taking them off and going with a Vortex Crossfire and the red dot.

I will no longer trust these "budget rifles." Last two I bought were terrible. I'll build my own rifles.
