Fishy fishy fishy... 😂😂😂 Really good stuff and a great inspiration. Just digged in a 500 gallon pond into the garden. Now I'm waiting for the spring to give my barbes a bit more room to swim around...

btw,I can see why nobody with a "name" would post on aquarium boards. Those moderator people are so set against not just a better way, they hate to even hear of another way! Been keeping fish for 45 years and I even worked in Natural sciences and Biological sciences for local museum and a University. Including managing the University's greenhouse and the Museums aquatic displays, with 100,000 gallon pond. According to the mods, its "What do you know?"..lol

@@LRBaquatics They used to sell the goldfish for bait and fishermen would just dump the excess out when they went home , they thrived and multiplied . In summer when water was low you could see them coming from a distance from the Meridian street bridge.

So due to some fighting I couldn't address by moving decorations around I had to move a bala shark that I had rescued into my indoor painted turtle pond. Seems to be doing great, active and eating. However this is unheated and holds 70 in the winter and 76 in the summer with almost no fluctuation. This also houses a few goldfish. Should I add a heater for the bala even though the goldfish shouldn't have it or is 70 going to be alright for 6 months of the year? Anyone with any thoughts feel free to share them. I'm just learning as I go and this video seemed like a place to find people with some experience with keeping fish outside of "normal" temps.

Is there any secret to breeding the gold whiteclouds!! I've tried the aquatic plant bin method, I've tried moss, mops, and lots of plants, and I've filled the bottom of the tank with rocks to hope the eggs gets scattered throughout them and some live (even with the fish in the plant basket). Nothing!! Haven't had one fry in almost 6 months!!! I even kept them outside in a small 20 gallon patio pond all summer and still didn't get any fry!

Guppy grass and hornwort can work but my favorite is pearly weed it stays more compact. Also you will need to cover the bottom and top of the tank because at night the babies will sleep at the bottom. Rock piles help too. I do have all these plants available on my website www.lrbaquatics.com

You just need one of those temperature guns from Amazon. $25 and all you do is aim it at the pond or aquarium...from what I hear. Whew! your electric bill!..you might as well build a greenhouse Lucas..you got the room, recycled materials to save big bucks..or a greenhouse sponsor.
