There was definitely charm to the old animation style. I am fairly sure they had the budget in later seasons but kept it the same because it was pretty funny and what people were used to but after this long off the air this is really nice to see. So glad the comedy is very much the same just with polished animation. Some purists might say the shows shit because of the new animations and I get what they're saying. The cheap animation was iconic but I just love this show too much to care.

@@ABlueyFanI feel like I struggle to get into the latest seasons because of all the changes. Still doesn’t feel as good as the older ATHF, so I relate in a way. But ATHF has been one of my all time favorite adult swim shows for years. And I just turned on season 12 to get back into watching it And I am loving this new intro. Thrilled that they brought back the OG song. looks like I won’t have as much trouble getting back into as I thought. Time to smoke some bud and go to my own little paradise!

Aqua teen Hunger Force is a product of its time, And I mean that in the best way possible. It’s a genuine gem that reminds you of that era in history where Adult swim felt like this underground medium for unbridled weirdness and creativity. Seeing their intro get a remaster is honestly so raw.

@@evandaymon8303i mean, back then, adult swim was more niche among grown early 2000s teenage punk heads and hoodlets that could stay up long to watch futurama, family guy, squidbillies, inuyasha, Big O, desert punk, etc it lost that uncanny yet niche charm around 009, once more kids could stay up to watch king of the hill, american dad and Cleveland show, then rick and morty, then of course toonami returned, and the timeline goes on

@@GoldenGrenadier No, he designed all of the characters and key poses for the entire show. He also animated all of the run cycles and expressions, as well as the original opening sequence. He created the Meatwad transformations...His art style WAS the show's character design and character animation. Honestly, his passing is the reason the show looks like this now. There is no replacing him so they resorted to ToonBoom "motion tweening" to digitally stretch and squash the characters rather than hand animate them. Croker would've done it all by hand, and his designs would've been a lot more appealing and funny. As for voice acting, he was also the voiced of Zorak and Moltar on Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

I miss the part when Shake was eating the spaghetti, but I still think this intro is amazing. I love how the animation evolved from reusing the same assets to becoming almost the same but it has actual animations now and it's incredible. I've been so used to the cheap artstyle that the new animations shock me. I love the timing of everything in this intro, the remix is alright and I love how it's an upgrade to the original, it really feels satisfying to see. I'm glad this show came back after years, I got into it from a friend around earlier last year. I hope Aqua Teen still keeps going after this season, it's one of the best Adult Swim shows

Part of me is sad they didn't do crazy unique intros like seasons 8-11, but this remake of the og intro is fucking awesome. so far from all the 2 eps that released on HBO, they've missed a chance to remaster the old outro with abe, hope they do that

I love how during "the old schoolah" line, Master shake does the animation he does in the original intro.

I know some people might be dissapointed to see the huge improvement on the animation, as the shitty animation of original made it stand out. But I'm here to remind y'all the industry is in a dire state, and the team behind this revival is probably letting animators reap the benefits they already have and making a resume for themselves so they can have an opportunity to work on even bigger projects. That's just my two cents, though.
